CH.30

Hardin’s pov

I was woken up by a pounding on our door. I got up and went to the door to find Jakob on the other side of it. I said dude what in the hell is wrong with you, it's 8 in the morning. He said, “I'm sorry man but there is a Beta Dayton requesting to see the Luna and you.” I looked at him and said did you say Dayton? He nodded. I said that’s Aspen’s brother, why would he be here? He said, “I don’t know man he just said he wants to speak with y’all and he seems pissed.”

I woke Aspen up and said my love we have a visitor and he is in a bad mood. She looked at me and said “who?” I told her it was Dayton and he was pissed. Aspen got up and put some clothes on and said “I swear if he even starts his crap with me I'm going to go full Luna on his ass.” We headed to my office and I told Jakob to bring Dayton up.

Once he was in the office I asked what was going on and he looked at me and said “do the elders know how you treat your pack members?” I said excuse me? He looked at me and said, “you heard me, do the elders know how poorly you treat your pack members?”

Aspen stepped in front of me and said, “Dayton, I suggest you watch your mouth. You are speaking to an Alpha, not one of your little douchebag friends.” He looked at Aspen and said, “he is far from an Alpha.” I growled at him and Aspen put her hand on my shoulder.

She said, “how dare you come to my home and disrespect Hardin like this. Do mom and dad know where you are?” He told Aspen he didn’t give a f*ck if they did or didn’t. He was there to handle business himself for him and his mate. Aspen busted out laughing and that seemed to piss Dayton off more.

She looked at him and said, “you really think that lying skank is your mate? Why don’t you ask Hardin what Daphanie is really like?” He said, “I don't have to ask anyone what my mate is like.” Aspen looked at him and said, “Dayton you are 16 how in the hell do you know she is your mate? You don’t find your mate until you get your wolf.”

He started huffing at Aspen and I stepped in front of her and said listen up and listen good because I'm only going to say this once Dayton, Daphanie is trouble. She has been nothing but disrespectful to your sister since I introduced her to Daphanie. Daphanie does not love you nor is she your mate because she told me that she loved me and spread rumors we were mates not long ago, and if you ask any guy here at Green moon or any other neighboring packs about Daphanie I'm sure they can tell you all about her since she has slept with almost every male here mated and unmated. She has some serious mental issues thinking she can disrespect high-rank members and get away with it because she has this fantasy that I will make her my Luna! She is using you because you are Aspen’s brother Dayton. It's not love. His face turned red and he screamed “LIAR!” In my face, he said, “I will not let you do this to my mate. I will protect her and make sure you are looked at by the elders to see if you are fit to run this pack.”

Just then my father walked in and said, “young man, I suggest you watch your tone with the Alpha and Luna.” Dayton turned to my father and said, “who do you think you are speaking to a ranked member like that?” I laughed and said Dayton this happens to be my father. He froze and said, “my apologies Mr.Tifton.” Aspen told Dayton to take his ass home and he left.

Aspen called her parents and told them what he did and their dad was livid. Aspen then made a call to Wyatt and told him she needed a favor and what she needed him to do which was talk to Dayton and explain the mate process and that there is no way he would know Daphaine is his mate at his age. Once she hung up with Wyatt, I called my dad back into my office and asked what he was needing earlier. He said he saw the plans for expanding the gym and was wondering what we were doing. I looked at Aspen and said go ahead and tell him since you came up with the idea. Aspen told my dad about the self-defense class she suggested to Jakob and I and that she suggested Jakob teach since he was the head trainer here.

My dad smiled at her and said, “Aspen that is a brilliant idea. I think the females in this pack would love to learn how to defend themselves and their families if the time ever came that they need to and I think it would also help a lot of our females with insecurities they have about themselves.” Aspen smiled proudly and said, “thank you, Mr.Tifton.” He said, “I know Amanda is going to be thrilled about you coming up with this idea. He said, "well I'm off to go fish see you two later.”

I smiled at Aspen and said my love you were born to be a Luna! She blushed and said, “now how about we go eat breakfast and go see what we can work on today inside the packland.”

Dayton’s pov

How dare that POS Alpha say Daphanie was lying. I know my sister and I know she makes up sh*t to get her way just like she did when she was 14. That pack member said he wouldn’t have touched her with a 10-foot pole and I believe him. She only accused him because I was hanging out with him and that's when I started to do what I wanted and not listen to what my parents said. I'm going to make sure everyone knows my sister and her mate are nothing but liars and I am going to start by telling our pack how they are treating my mate. I know once it gets around from our pack to other packs Aspen and her mate will have to be investigated by the elders. When I got home, I told some of my friends what green moon was doing to my mate and they said they would make sure to get the message out. Now I'm going to sit back and wait.

Wyatt’s pov

I was sitting at my desk going over some paperwork my father gave me to go through when Trini rushed into my office. I asked her what was wrong and she said,

“baby something is going on with me.” I asked her what she was talking about and she said, “I can hear what people are thinking.” I looked at her like she was crazy and said babe I don't think that is possible.

She looked at me and said, “WYATT YOU OF ALL WOLVES SHOULD KNOW THE MOON GODDESS CAN BLESS WOLVES WITH POWERS YOU ARE AN ALPHA YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS!!!” My jaw dropped and I said oh my goddess you are right she does have the ability to bless other wolves.

I then asked how she knew what people were thinking and she explained that while she was downstairs she could hear a bunch of chattering but when she looked to see who or where it was coming from she saw that no one was talking. I looked at her and thought to myself maybe I need to get her into the pack doctor to be seen, she cut her eyes at me and said, “I AM NOT GOING CRAZY WYATT SMITH. I DON’T NEED TO BE SEEN BY THE PACK DOCTOR!!” I stuttered the word how and before I could finish what I was going to say she looked at me and said, “because I read your mind now quit being an i***t and help me figure this out and I swear to the moon goddess you had better not even suggest I get a mental evaluation done.”

Then she said something under her breath and I asked what she said she slowly turned and said, “I think Aspen has a power to Wyatt.” I looked at her and said what do you mean baby? She said, “when we were at the resort Aspen could hear Hardin talking but only him.” I looked at her and said well duh she was focused on him all night. She said, “no jackass the day after when we were talking and you guys walked off. Aspen said she could hear Hardin in her head like a mind-link but not actually a mind-link she couldn’t talk to him.” I asked her what Aspen said she heard and she said, “something about being an amazing father” my eyes got wide, and I said Trini that is what we were talking about.

I told her to go for a walk and calm down, I was going to go to the library to see if I could find anything on blessed wolves. Trini told me not to call Hardin or Aspen and say anything just yet and I said I wouldn't. When I headed down to the library I heard some Omega’s talking about Aspen so I stopped and stayed behind the wall. They were saying her and her mate were horrible as Alpha and Luna and that they didn’t know how to treat their pack members. I stepped out from behind the wall and said you Omega’s had better watch your mouths talking about Luna Aspen like that I should punish all 3 of you for speaking badly on her and her mate.

One of the omega’s said, “Alpha Wyatt we were just repeating what we were told by someone else from our pack.” I asked who they heard it from and she said, “Alpha it was Daelyn Beta Dayton’s friend.”

I told the Omega’s to clear out and to keep their mouths shut about Aspen and Hardin. They bowed and said, “yes Alpha.” I mind-linked Trini and told her what was being said and told her she may need to call Aspen and let her know. She said she would and I headed to the library to do some research.
