CH.33

Aspen’s pov

Now that Dayton has been set straight, that is one less thing we have to worry about. I headed to Hardin’s office so we could walk down for lunch together. Once we sat down at the table Jakob came and sat with us and asked if the package had been delivered, I nodded and he turned to Hardin and said,

“ Hey, bro so I’ve given this a lot of thought and I decided to teach the self-defense class” Hardin looked at Jakob and said, “I’m glad you did Jak, I wouldn’t want anyone other than you teaching it and I’m not saying that to be a douchebag to anyone else in the pack but I’d prefer you teaching since you are the head trainer and because I’ve known you your whole life.” I jumped up and said yay I'm so excited to start classes, I'll go get started on printing up flyers to put up around the packland.

Hardin looked at me and said, “my love why don't we eat first then you can go work on that” I sat back down and the Omega’s brought out trays of grilled chicken, crispy chicken, bowls of different lettuce, and all the fixings for making chicken salads.

Once I finished my lunch I headed up to mine and Hardin’s room and pulled out my laptop to get to work on the flyers, Hardin came in the room and said, “my love come with me I have something to show you.”

I followed him out of the room and headed down to the other end of the hall opposite of his office and our room. I had never come down this part of the hall so I had no idea what was down here. Hardin covered my eyes and helped me walk a little further then stopped. When he uncovered my eyes I looked and saw the word Luna on the door in front of me. Hardin opened the door and I stood there in awe at how pretty this room was. I looked at him and said what is this?

He smiled and said, “this my love is your office.” I asked if he was serious and he laughed and said yes. I squealed and jumped up and wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist and attacked his face with kisses saying thank you in between each one. He laughed and said, “go ahead and go check it out, baby.” I walked in and saw it was painted a light sky blue with white trim.

There were bookshelves lined down one wall with different genres of books. There was a white desk in front of a big bay window overlooking the back of the packhouse and part of the lake. On the desk was a brand new computer and printer. There was a futon on the wall by the door and a couple of beautiful paintings of white wolves hanging up. I looked at Hardin who was standing in the doorway and asked if I was dreaming.

He smiled and said, “no baby you are not dreaming, this is your office. I had one of the contractors for the pack in here painting and setting everything up for the past couple of weeks.” I looked at Hardin and said I LOVE IT BABY THANK YOU! He said, “Luna, I think you need to get back to work on those flyers” he winked at me and walked back down the hall. I sat down at my desk and set up my computer and printer then got to work making flyers.

Hardin’s pov

Once I left Aspen in her office I went down to Jakob’s office and said we need to finish this sh*t with Daphanie and Mikael soon. I'm sick of not being able to announce our engagement to the pack and I know you and my sister would like to be able to announce the two of you are mates.

Jakob looked at me and said, “did you show Aspen her office yet?” I said yeah I actually just came from doing that, I even put her to work” he laughed and said, “what are you making her do?” I told him since she was already hell-bent on getting those flyers done, I told her to get to work in her new office.

He laughed and shook his head. Jakob asked me how much longer was it going to take on the new townhomes and I told him probably a month then the contractor was going to start on the expansion in the gym. Jakob then asked what was next in our plan. I told him I was going to call elder Todd and tell him about Dayton running his mouth about us because he was under the impression we were mistreating his mate and tell him to play along with it and come and do a fake investigation on me and Aspen. I will tell him about Daphanie trying to ruin mine and Aspen’s bond because she is jealous of her and is obsessed with me and ask that he let me take care of it and when it comes time for punishment I will ask that he let me and Aspen decide how to punish her. He then asked if I was going to tell him about Mikael and I nodded and said I will ask the elders for permission to choose his fate either banishment or death for the attempted assault on Aspen.

He nodded and said, “well let me know when I'm needed bro” I left Jakob’s office and decided to go see my sister. I knocked on Annalynn’s door and there was no answer, I sent her a mind-link and asked where she was. She told me she was in the kitchen with mom eating a snack so I headed down to go spend some time with her. When I got halfway down the stairs I was face to face with the devil. I said can I help you Daphanie? I'm pretty sure you were banned from being in the packhouse.

She smiled and said, “yes you can, and yes I was but I need to talk to you, Alpha Hardin.” I asked her what it was in regards to and she said her mate. I raised my brow and said ok what about him? She said, “well he is only 16 and lives in another pack” I looked at her and said then how does he know you are his mate Dapanie? Every wolf knows you don’t find your mate until you gain your wolf and that only happens when you are 18 unless he is some special kind of wolf who the moon goddess blessed with an early wolf.

She smiled and said, “We just know we are mates. My wolf says she can sense it.” I laughed and said ok so what do you need? She said, “I was thinking about leaving green moon to go live with him and his family.” I looked at her and said NO. she huffed and said, “what do you mean no?” I leaned close to her and said I said NO! She asked me why I was denying her the right to go be with her mate and I smiled and said because I am the Alpha and I say no because I see fit to say no at this time. Your so-called mate is still underage and I won’t allow you to go live with him until he gains his wolf. Is that clear? She said, “yes alpha” and stomped off.

I laughed and headed to go see my sister and mom. When I got to the kitchen Annalynn was eating and my mom was helping the kitchen get the menu for dinner together. Annalynn looked up and said, “what did you need me for?” I said can’t a brother just spend time with his baby sister because he loves her? She cut her eyes at me and said, “yeah but not you so what do you want?” I laughed and said honestly I just want to see how things are going for you and your mate.

She looked around and whispered, “me and Jakob are fine Hardin, he is behaving like he said he would and so am I.” I laughed and said I know and I trust both of you. I then told her I wanted to talk to her in my office later that I had some important papers for her to look over.

She looked at me and said, "You're giving me a job?" I laughed and said something like that and stole a piece of her broccoli. She swatted my hand from her plate and said, "MOM HARDIN IS EATING MY FOOD!" Then she stuck her tongue out at me. I called her a tattletale and stole another piece and took off upstairs.

Annalynn’s pov

After my snack, I headed up to Hardin’s office to see what he wanted me to look over. As I got to the top of the stairs I saw Daphanie walking down the hall towards Hardin and Aspen’s room, I sent a mind-link to my brother to let him know I looked around the wall to see where she was at and I saw Hardin step out of his office and then he roared. I jumped at his roar and heard him yell at Daphanie to get the f*ck away from his bedroom door and to get out of the packhouse before she gets banished.

She said, “I was coming to talk to you Hardin” he growled at her and said, “that is Alpha Hardin to you.” she said, "I want you to reconsider letting me go live with my mate and his family.” he got in her face and roared NO! She smiled and walked off. Aspen came from the other end of the hall right after Daphanie went down the stairs and said, “what in the hell is going on?” I said I caught Daphanie by yours and Hardin’s door so I sent him a mind-link and he told her to leave then she asked about going to live with her mate and Hardin roared no at her.

Hardin looked at me and Aspen and said, “that b*tch recorded me” I asked him how he knew and he said, “why else would she have come up here knowing she was banned and pretend to need to talk to me and when I roared no to her she smiled and walked off. she was recording me” we followed him into his office and he said, “give me a minute I'm calling elder Todd” Hardin walked out of his office and into their room and closed the door.

Me and Aspen looked at each other and shrubbed our shoulders. We sat down and she asked me if I was still calling Jakob before bed and I blushed and said yes. She said, "are y'all doing what I suggested yall do?" I nodded and she said, “good.” she then said, “Oh my goddess come see what Hardin did for me” she wrote something on a post-it and grabbed my arm, and pulled me down the hall.

We walked into a room and I realized Hardin had put an office together for her. Thank god because now us girls have somewhere to hang out without the guys and somewhere other than my room. Hardin came back a few minutes later with a paper and said, “I need you and Aspen to sign this paper” he handed it to Aspen she looked at it and smiled then she signed it.

Hardin then handed it to me and when I saw the words move in and Beta floor I squealed and said really? Hardin said, "look over the paper and then sign it." I read it and saw there were rules which I was ok with I signed it and handed it back to Hardin and I said so when can I move in? He said, “I'm getting the suite remolded for you and as soon as it is done you will be moving into it." I jumped up and gave my brother a big hug and then I hugged Aspen.

Aspen asked Hardin what his call to elder Todd was about and he said, "I’ll tell y'all later." Hardin left me and Aspen in her office and she asked me to help her with the flyers she was making.
