CH.34

Daphanie’s pov

When I left the packhouse I decided to go visit that b*tches brother and play the victim again. I now had proof of my fake claim. I left the packland and headed to blood-orange moon. When I got there I called Dayton and put on my act of crying. He said to come to his house and we would figure out what to do. When I pulled up he was standing outside and I ran to him once I got out of the car.

He said, “what happened?” I told him I asked to leave green moon to move here to be with him and I was told no.

he got mad and said, “why won’t they let you leave to be with your mate?” I told him they didn’t want me to be happy. He said, “it’s ok I have spread the word about them being unfit to be Alpha and Luna and it would get back to the elders soon.” I told him thank you for being such an amazing mate and asked if we could go eat.

He said, “yeah we can go eat, I'll have the kitchen make us something.” I whined and said I want to go out to eat Dayton. He sighed and said, “ok we can go out.” We left his packland and went to outback.

I told him I left my bank card on my dresser so he paid. I asked him when he planned on telling his pack we were mates and he said, “Alpha told me I have to wait until I turn 18.” I did my fake pout and he said, “Daphanie stop. I can’t announce it until I'm of age. It's my Alpha’s rule.” I crossed my arms and said fine.

My plan wasn’t going how it was supposed to and it was pissing me off. I need him to tell people so I can make them hate that stupid b*tch Hardin is mated to then I can run her off from green moon. After I took Dayton back to his pack I went home and sat around.

Jakob’s pov

I was out for a run when my wolf Malachi said “we are being watched.” I slowed down and started to walk. After a few minutes, I decided to turn around and walk back. I saw something out of the corner of my eye off to my left and I let Malachi use our wolf speed to run to it. I pinned whoever it was against the tree before I saw their face. When I did I saw that it was Mikael. I asked him why the f*ck he was following me and he said he wanted to talk. I asked about what he said about his mate. I looked at him while still pinning him against the tree and said what about your mate?

He said, “who it is man” I raised my brow already knowing where this was going, and said who? He smiles and says, “it’s Hardin’s sister. Isn’t that unfortunate for him since I'm banned and he hates me?” it took everything in me not to rip this f*ckers throat out and hand it to that psycho sister of his.

I calmed myself and said have you told anyone? He said, “not yet but I'm trying to get her to come meet me so we can talk and i can tell her.” I let him go and said good luck and walked off.

When I got back to the packhouse I mind-linked Hardin and Annalynn and said to meet me in Hardin’s office. When everyone was in the office I said I just had a run-in with Mikael and he is claiming Annalynn is his mate and that's why he is trying to meet her somewhere. Aspen put her hand on her face and said, “first Daphanie claims my brother is her mate and now this f*cker is trying to claim Annalynn as his.”

Hardin said, “Aspen baby, we knew this was part of their plan. Why is it bothering you so much now?” she said, “it’s bothering me because if I wasn’t your mate they wouldn't be doing this to people who have done nothing to them.”

I looked at Aspen and said Aspen even if you hadn’t been Hardin’s mate and someone other than Daphanie was she would still be a crazy obsessed psycho b*tch and plan something like this for whoever his mate was and the only reason Annalynn is getting put into this is because Mikael is pissed at Hardin for stopping what he attempted to do on your birthday and then banned him from the packhouse.

She looked at me and said, “it just f*cking sucks that they are being used to get back at us for being mates and because he couldn’t get what he wanted from me.” She broke down and cried and Hardin and Annalynn hugged her even I went and hugged the three of them to show her I’m not mad at her for Anna being put into this and that I love her like my sister and I am happy to have her as my Luna.

Aspen’s pov

I'm being crushed to death by these two humongous guys and a tiny girl as they hug me. I smile because I know that I am loved here and just because one person hates me doesn’t mean everyone else does and I know it really isn’t my fault that all this is going on. I mind-link Hardin and say can’t breathe and he laughs and lets go and so does Annalynn. Jakob, on the other hand, is still hugging me and I start laughing and say um this is awkward he realizes Hardin and Anna have already let go and he is still hugging me like I'm leaving or something. He apologizes and steps back.

Hardin laughs and says, “damn bro go hug your mate like that, and then says wait no don’t go do that I forgot it is my sister” Jakob and I start laughing and Anna shoots him a death glare.

We all sit down in Hardin’s office and start talking about the defense class and what days we should do it and how often due to Jakob's schedule. Once we figured out days for him to teach Annalynn was asked to become his assistant with signing clients up and promoting the class. Annalynn asked me if she could take the class as well and Hardin said, “of course, you can sis. I want you to be able to defend yourself if you ever have to.”

Annalynn said, “can we go talk Aspen?” I nodded and we left Hardin's office and went towards mine. Annalynn looked back and then at me and said, “come with me.” I followed her to Jakob’s floor and she took me to the room Hardin was having remolded for her. The contractor wasn’t there so we went in and she closed and locked the door. I asked her what was wrong and why did we have to come to this room instead of my office.

She looked at me and said, “ok so remember how I said I sensed Jakob was my mate?” I nodded. She said, “well I've been sensing other things too.” I asked like what? She said, “well at the resort I sensed something was off but couldn’t figure it out, that is what Hardin and I were mind-linking about.” I said ok did you figure out what it was?

She nodded and said, “it is your friend Trinity.” I raised my brow and said what do you mean Anna? She sighed and said, “she is a blessed wolf Aspen but that’s not the only thing was sensing. I was also sensing your aura was off as well. I thought it was because of the engagement but I’ve been sensing it since we came home.” I looked at her and said do you know what it is you are sensing? She nodded. I said are you going to tell me?

She said, “Aspen you are also a blessed wolf but the moon goddess has blessed you with more than one ability.” I stood there staring at her like she was some crazy person who needed to be admitted to a hospital. After a few minutes, Anna snapped her fingers and asked if I was ok. I said yeah I knew it was possible due to me hearing Hardin’s conversation at the resort and then me being able to hear Daphanie while I was at the park and she wasn’t around but more than one ability?

I asked if she could sense how many and she said no. I realized her sensing these things was odd so I asked her how she was able to sense everything she was telling me and that Jakob was her mate. She shrugged her shoulders and said, “I don't know Aspen, maybe I'm a blessed wolf as well.”

I told her to keep this between us for now and we would figure out what was going on with us soon. I needed to take a walk and clear my head because Daphanie needed to be my main focus right now and if I was thinking about abilities and being blessed I may miss something and that could ruin our plan. We left Jakob’s floor and I took off outside.
