CH.4

(Aspen's pov)

When Mikael and I got to the SUV, he said it would be roomier in the back and we would be more comfortable sitting back there. So we got in and we started talking. After a few minutes of talking, he grabbed my hand and brought it up to his lips, and kissed the back of my hand. I blushed and pulled my hand back. He looked at me and said,

"Awe. Are you a shy one?" I nodded my head and said I've dated a few people but no one was ever sweet enough to kiss my hand like that.

He lifted my chin to make me look at him and said, "You are the sweet one and I'd really like to find out how sweet you are." He leaned in and kissed me. I pulled away and said I need to get back inside. It's my party after all and I'm sure people are wondering where I am.

He said we could go back in, in a few minutes. That he wanted to get to know me better and my heart started racing. Now I'm regretting coming out here with him. He turns his body towards me and grabs me by the waist and slides me closer to him. He leans in to kiss me again, I try to push him away and tell him I want to go back inside but he refuses to let me go. He starts kissing my neck even with me trying to push him off, then his hand slides down to my leg and he pushes my dress up and goes for my panties. I freak out and start screaming at him to stop. I hear him growl at me and he continues to try and get his hand in my panties. I keep fighting for him to stop. I beg him and scream please but he isn't listening. He is still trying and the next thing I know, he is holding my panties up in the air. He literally ripped them off me. He pushes me back on the seat and I'm trying to get up but he is holding me down, telling me to quit moving. That I'm gonna enjoy my birthday gift from him and I start crying and screaming. My mind goes back to when I was 14 and I was assaulted. I'm terrified that is about to happen again, so I start hitting his back and begging him to stop. He is trying to put his head between my legs and I'm trying to squeeze them tight so he can't get any closer to my private area. He lifts his head and his eyes are black and he says,

"You smell so good. I can't wait to taste you." I smacked him and screamed for him to get up and leave me alone.

I screamed my parents are the beta's of this pack and you will die if you go any further. He ignores me and says,

"Trust me, you'll love it and want more once you open those legs for me." I'm still squeezing my legs as tight as I can. He sits up and says, "ok, not going to open them I'll make you." and starts unzipping his pants. I'm trying to kick him away but once he pulls his manhood out he grabs me and pulls me onto his lap and tries to make me sit on it.

I scream as loud as I can and he crashes his lips into mine to shut me up but I bite his lip. He pushes me off of him and calls me a b*tch and says he is getting what he wants and climbs on top of me. He forced my legs apart and says everything will feel good once he is inside me. The next thing I know he is no longer on me and the door is open. I look up to see this gorgeous man standing there with his hand extended out to me. I freak out and scoot back against the door. He tells me he isn't going to hurt me, that he is taking me inside to find my parents. I begged him not to but to take me to find my friends and he agrees. When I reached for his hand and they touched it felt like fireworks going off inside my body.

"Hello, Aspen." I hear. Who are you? I ask. "I am your wolf, Sapphire." Hello Sapphire I say. "Aspen, do not be afraid of him, he is our mate." She says. Our mate? Him? I ask. "Yes, Aspen. He is our mate. We smelt his scent earlier."

I caught a good whiff of him and she was right, that was what I smelt. Right before I got out of the SUV, I heard the word MINE come from this gorgeous man who is apparently my mate and I knew then Sapphire wasn't lying. Only true mates claim that way. He turned to me and I could see his eyes turning black but there were light blue specks in them and I knew then he was my everything. We stared at each other for a few moments and then walked inside the event hall. Trini saw me and ran over to me and asked if I was ok. I nodded my head and said I was, thanks to my mate. She looked at me and then at him and said,

"Really?" I nodded and she grabbed me and hugged me so tight I felt like I was going to pass out. She then asked if she could steal me for a second and he nodded.

As we walked away, I saw Wyatt walk over to my mate and it dawned on me I don't even know my mate's name. Trini mind linked me and asked if I had mated with him. I shook my head no and said I don't even know his name yet. I'm the worst mate ever. I asked her why Wyatt was talking to him and she said they were friends and then said something I never thought I'd ever hear. She said my mate was the soon-to-be Alpha of green moon pack. She told me she had already learned his name and my mate's name is Hardin. She then asked me why I had been crying and why my hair and dress were all jacked up. I told her I wanted to leave but I wanted her, Wyatt, and my mate to come with me. As we were leaving the hall my mate stopped me and said,

"My love, now that I have found you there is one thing I need to know, what is your name?"

I blushed and said hello, Alpha Hardin. My name is Aspen. I am the female beta of blood-orange moon. His eyes got big and he said "Aspen as in the birthday girl?" I nodded and he reached for my hand which I pulled back instantly and took a step back.

He apologized to me and my wolf chimed in and said, "Do not fear our mate. He won't hurt us." I stepped forward and held my hand back out, he placed my hand at his lips and softly kissed it, and then said,

"Happy Birthday my beautiful mate. I'm sorry things went the way they did a little while ago but I am thankful I found you when I did. I could smell you but couldn't find you so I thought I was going crazy. The wolf who did that to you will be punished I promise you that. I also promise to never let anything or anyone harm you in any way as of right now you are my life and I will do everything in my power to protect my beautiful mate and future Luna."

My heart was racing as he spoke to me and I asked him how do you know that wolf will be punished? He looked me in the eyes and I could see hurt in his and he said,

"Because I will punish him myself since he belongs to my pack. His name is Mikael and he was one of my highest ranked and strongest warriors." He let out a sigh and I could see how bad this hurt him. His mate was assaulted by one of his close friends.

I looked him in the eyes and said Hardin, please don't kill him. I don't want him to die because he made a mistake. Even though it was a bad one, he shouldn't die because of it. How old is he? I asked.

"He just turned 19 a few weeks ago." Hardin replied.

He is only a year older than me, Hardin. He is still young and I think he just needs to learn respect for women but please don't kill him. He looks around then looks at me and says,

"What do I do, my love? I can't let him think it's ok to treat women that way. He has always been disrespectful to women and it needs to stop. All of my friends need to stop. I am nothing like that, so I don't understand how they can do it and think it's ok. I'm still pure but I guess when you lose your purity at a young age like them, it consumes you, and when your best friend is a future Alpha you lose sight of respect for others because they think they can get away with it."

I grab Hardin's face and make him look at me and say, my love, we will figure out a way to punish him together. He didn't fully violate me, yes he scared me and traumatized me but I'll be ok and now that I have you, I won't have to worry about this happening again.

(Hardin's pov)

After we left the event hall, we walked Aspen back to her apartment near the packhouse. The whole time we walked, we held hands and I could feel what felt like fireworks going off in my body. I think she felt the same way because when my heart started racing, I could feel hers do the same. When we arrived at her door, she walked in and turned the lights on. Wyatt and his female friend sat down on the couch and I stood awkwardly by the door. Aspen was in her kitchen and was making coffee, when she turned around she started laughing and said,

"Hardin, have a seat I'm making coffee even though I could use a drink after the sh*t I've gone through tonight but I'm under age so I can't. I guess coffee will have to do."

I looked at her and said, Aspen my love, I don't think you want to go into any more details, so let's drop what happened tonight and enjoy the rest of your birthday. She smiles at me and said,

"Hardin, thank you for the concern but these two right here are my family. Wyatt and I have been friends since we were pups and he is like a brother to me. Trini is my best friend and sister. They need to know what happened."

I nodded my head and she told her friends everything and even though I was there, just hearing it from her mouth has me wanting to rip Mikael's throat out again. Aspen sees that I'm pissed and walks up to me and puts her hand on my cheek and says,

"Hardin, thank you for being there and stopping what was about to happen. If it wasn't for you, I probably would have come home tonight and did something stupid to myself." Hearing my future Luna say she would have hurt herself had I not been there to stop Mikael kills me!

She leans down and places a kiss on the corner of my mouth and my heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest. I could feel my member twitch but I know now is not the time to be thinking about burying myself in my mate, so I adjust the way I'm sitting, and Wyatt busts out laughing. He then asks me to come outside for a moment. When we get out on the porch he says,

"Dude, what was that about?" I asked him what he was talking about and he said, "The whole moving after she kissed you."

I sighed and said I'm not gonna lie, just the small kiss she gave me had my member twitching. I had to move to keep myself from being noticed. I know we just met and I know how the mate bond works but right now isn't right after what she has gone through. I tell him I'm going to wait until she is ready and wants it as much as I do, so we both can enjoy it and then I ask a question that just happened to come out without me wanting it too. I asked him if she was pure. He looked shocked but then said,

"Squirt and I have been best friends since we can remember. We share a lot of things with each other and I do know she has never given herself to anyone but there is something you need to know but it's not my place to tell you." I don't like what he is saying and I'm afraid to ask but I nod and he says, "look man, I know Aspen better than her own brother and she is an amazing woman with a big ass heart and a lot of love to give. What she needs to tell you, shouldn't affect your love for her. Is she your mate or second chance mate?" He asks.

I look at him and say she is my mate man and I've waited to find her and haven't given myself to anyone. I know we've only been mates for about 2 hours now, but dude I f*cking love her more than anything in this world and I won't let anything come between us. Even if what she has to say is something I'm not going to like. He puts his hand on my shoulder and says, "I've known you for a long time man and I trust you with my Lil sis."
