CH.15

(Hardin's pov)

today is the day of my Alpha ceremony and it's also my 20th birthday. I can't wait until later when Jakob arrives with my beautiful mate! I can't wait until Aspen is here with me and we can start our lives together. everyone is getting things ready for tonight my mom is getting Aspen's dress altered for her now all I have left to do is check on the food to make sure the kitchen staff gets it done on time and get dressed. Aspen's vanity came yesterday so I'm going to put it together and get the room set up for her. Jakob left an hour ago and took the moving truck. I decided to call Aspen just to tell her I love her and can't wait until she is here.

"Hello sexy," she said when she answered hello my beautiful mate how are you today? she said "doing great and can't wait until tonight," I asked why she was excited for tonight and she giggled and said, "because I'll be able to sleep since we will be in the same bed."

I laughed at her and said I couldn't wait to have her next to me for the rest of our lives she got quiet and I could tell she was smiling and blushing. I told her I had some stuff to finish before the ceremony and that I'd see her soon once we hung up I went to work on her vanity and the other things I got for her. once I was done setting up I cleaned up my suite and decided I had time to go get some flowers and her favorite brand of coffee even though she drinks what the kitchen makes I want her to have some for the suite. I also got her a bottle of bubble bath for the jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom the smell was just like hers cinnamon apple and bought her some apple-scented shampoo and conditioner. after walking through the mall I stopped in one more store this store was for a special reason. I decided that since Aspen is still healing from her past, that I wouldn't push her into anything just yet so I wanted to show her that I do care about and love her and that I'm willing to wait until she is ready. I've never been more excited for anything in my life than I am for Aspen to come home to me. once I got what I needed from the store I was at I headed home to put everything away and wait for my love to come home.

(Aspen's pov)

Jakob and I are almost done loading the truck. my parents, Trini and Wyatt are on their way to say bye then I will be following Jakob to my new home. New home. it sounds so weird saying new home I always thought I'd live at blood-orange moon for the rest of my life but here I am all packed up and ready to leave here and head to a new pack to be with the love of my life. Jakob is such a good friend to Hardin to come all the way here and help me pack and load and sit and wait on me. while Jakob and I were waiting on everyone we sat down and talked. he asked about my trophies and I told him about how I played baseball when I was younger. I asked him how long him and Hardin have been friends and he said since they were pups. I asked Jakob when Hardin's birthday was because that is one thing I never asked I know I'm a bad mate but after everything that happened the day we met and in the 2 weeks since it has slipped my mind. he looked at me and said,

"you don't know?" I shook my head and he looked at me and said "Aspen today is Hardin's birthday."

I started to cry because I didn't have anything to give him but Jakob put his hand on my shoulder and said "Aspen on the way home we can stop and pick him up something. I've known him his whole life so I'll help you pick out a gift." I nodded and stopped crying.

after saying bye to my parents, Trini and Wyatt, Jakob and I got on the road. when we got about halfway to green moon Jakob and I went to the mall and started looking for Hardin a gift. I found him a nice bracelet for men that I had them engrave the words FOREVER MY ALPHA. I told Jakob I needed to run one more place I told him to meet me at the food court in 20 minutes. I went into the store and started to look for what I needed the sales associate asked if I needed help and I told her yes. once I picked out what I was looking for I headed to the food court I saw Jakob and we left. we made it to green moon in plenty of time for me to get dressed and give Hardin his gift. as soon as I got out of the car Hardin came running up to me picked me up and hugged me tightly. Hi, baby I said he took a deep breath and said,

"Hi my love I'm so happy you are finally home." he escorted me inside and up to our suite when we got to the door he covered my eyes and said he had a surprise for me.

he lead me through the suite and into our room and uncovered my eyes there was a beautiful makeup vanity set up on one side of the room. I asked him who the vanity was for and he said,

"it's yours, my love." I turned and hugged him tight and said thank you and that I love it.

he looked at me and said "there's more follow me." we walked into the bathroom and there were bathrobes with my name on them and a bunch of bottles of shampoo and conditioner and even bubble bath.

I told him thank you and that I love everything. I looked at Hardin and said oh yeah HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY! I walked to the bed grabbed my purse and handed him the box the bracelet is in. he opened it and smiled I told him to look at it closely and when he did I saw tears in his eyes. I asked if he was ok and he smiled and said,

"I'm perfect and that is a perfect gift and I love it". he grabbed me and pulled me close and hugged me tightly.

there was a knock at the door and he told them to come in. it was his mom coming to get me so she could help me get ready. we headed to her room and when she showed me my dress I was in awe of it. it was a beautiful turquoise form-fitting dress she picked out turquoise heels to go with it. a few mins after I started getting dressed Hardin's sister Annalynn came in and said she would be doing my hair and makeup. I wasn't too sure about that since I barely wore makeup but Annalynn assured me that I wouldn't end up looking like some streetwalker or a clown. once Annalynn was done with my makeup she started on my hair and after 30 mins she finally finished it and I was able to look at myself. I stood there staring at myself but couldn't believe it was me I was looking at. I looked so grown and so classy. Luna Amanda walked up to me and said she had a gift for her future daughter and handed me a box, when I opened the box I was in awe at how beautiful the necklace inside it was. it is a beautiful turquoise stone. Luna Amanda said that was her necklace from her Luna ceremony that it was given to her by Alpha Clay's parents and now she wanted me to have it. I looked at Annalynn and she just smiled at me and said,

"it's ok take it." Luna Amanda put the necklace on me and said that her and I weren't that much different when she was my age.

she said that she wasn't really into all the girly stuff and barely wore makeup and jewelry. she was more of an athletic girl who loved to play sports and loved training with her pack. I told her I was more into sports than training and we ended up sitting there talking for what seemed like hours when Annalynn got a phone call and when she hung up she looked at us and said,

"uh, that was Hardin we have to go like now everyone is already out back the ceremony is about to start."

Luna Amanda sat there and laughed then said it will start when the Luna and future Luna arrive. the three of us headed down to the back yard once we got down there we went and took our seats. Hardin looked at me with a confused look and I leaned in and whispered just having some girl time with my future in-laws and he smiled at me. the elder of their pack walked on stage and started speaking.

"Good evening everyone I am elder Todd of green moon pack and it is my honor to be here tonight to transfer the title of Alpha from Alpha Clay over to his son Alpha Hardin."

The whole time the elder is speaking I can't help but look at my mate and future Alpha and smile.
