CH.14

(Hardin's pov)

i woke up at 5 am to get ready for training once I was dressed I opened my door to head down to the training field but I ran into Walker. hey man, what's up? he said,

"uh not much I just needed to talk to you for a minute" ok what's up? i asked. "um when is the Luna coming back?" the end of next week why?

"dude your alpha ceremony is next week" OH S**T! okay, I'll figure all of this out after training come on man let's go.

we headed down to the field but as we were walking I could tell something was bothering Walker. hey, man are you ok? you seem a little down.

"yeah it's just the whole mate thing" well man my door is always open if you need to talk. "thanks man"

when we got to the field Jakob was ready to start. he had us run 15 miles in wolf form then sprint in human form another 5 miles. when we got back to the field he had us do 200 sit-ups 100 push-ups 100 crunches and 30 minutes of sparring. after training Jakob and I went up to my office to talk about my Alpha ceremony and Aspen being here for it. I told him I didn't want to wait but I also wanted my Luna here with me because I have to announce her as my Luna. we agreed he would go pick Aspen up the day before and bring her and her belongings back with her so now all I have to do is call her and tell her the change in plans. I dismissed Jakob and went to shower so I could go downstairs to eat breakfast. after breakfast I went back to my office and called Aspen to tell her about the change in plans and before I could even say hello I heard her beautiful voice

"hello my sexy Alpha" well good morning my beautiful Luna you are in a good mood this morning. she giggled and said she was and I was to thank for it.

I was confused and asked how was I to thank for her good mood and she giggled again and said, "well you showed me how to take care of myself so that's how." I chuckled and said oh really? she said "yep" and giggled again.

I sat back in my chair and asked how was it and she said, "it wasn't the same as when you were here but it was enough for how bad I needed it."

I told her I needed to talk to her about when she was supposed to be coming back and she started to freak out and asked if I was rejecting her. I said baby calm down I'm not rejecting you I need you to come a few days earlier than we talked about. my Alpha ceremony is 2 days before you are supposed to come back. she said that was fine and would be ready to go she then asked if I was coming to get her and I told her no Jakob would be coming because I had some stuff to do to get ready for the ceremony. she pouted but then said,

"ok." I asked her what she was going to be doing today and she said "going with Trini to help pick out her wedding dress and then she was going to family dinner with my parents and brother Dayton."

I asked if Wyatt and Trini had set a date yet and she told me they were going to do it after her Luna ceremony. we talked for a little while and she let me go so she could go meet up with Trini. I decided to go take a nap since I was free until dinner.

(Aspen's pov)

after I hung up with Hardin I got dressed and headed to Trini's. when I got there I went up to her room and found her sitting on her bed crying I ran up to her and asked her what was wrong. she told me she couldn't do it she said she was scared to become the new Luna of our pack. I grabbed her and hugged her tight and told her she can do this that this is what the moon goddess chose for her future and if I can move to another pack and become the Luna of it she could be the Luna to our home pack. I also told her if I can deal with some crazy a** she-wolf plotting to kill me and take my mate then she could be the Luna after I said it I realized I let it slip and Trini was no longer crying she was sitting there staring at me with her mouth open. she asked me what I was talking about and I had to come clean and tell her what was going on. I explained how Daphanie acted when Hardin told her and her friends I was his mate then told her about what I heard her saying to Hardin and how Hardin told her he only wanted me and that's when I fully accepted our bond and me being his Luna. then I told her about the pack member I overheard talking on the phone about me leaving and he'd kill me if he had to. I also told her about how Walker drove all the way here to explain it was Daphanie behind the phone call I overheard and how he was the one I heard but he didn't really want to kill me Daphanie seduced him into agreeing to help her. when I finished telling her everything she was sitting there in shock. she asked me if Hardin knew everything and I told her he knew about the phone call but not about Walker admitting it was him and offering to help stop Daphanie. I got up and grabbed her by the arm and said let's go chick we have a wedding dress to shop for! we left and went to the bridal store and Trini tried on at least 25 dresses before she found the one. after we bought her dress we went out for lunch. while we were sitting there I decided to ask Trini if her and Wyatt had mated yet I knew she wasn't marked but that doesn't mean they haven't done it. I took a deep breath and finally said Trini have you and Wyatt you know? she almost spits her drink out at me she leaned in close and asked why I was asking her then asked was I thinking about it with Hardin. I told her I was but I'm terrified she looked at me and said,

"Asp I think should eat then go back to my place or your place and talk about this we don't want people overhearing us." I told her she was right and we finished our food then went back to my apartment.

we sat in the living room and Trini brought up what I asked at lunch. she asked if I was ready to mate with Hardin and I told her I wasn't sure but I know sooner or later I'm going to have to since I am about to become the Luna to his pack. she smiled at me and said,

"Asp I know what happened to you put fear into your mind when it comes to mating but you have to let that go. Hardin is not like that the moon goddess knows what you went through and she wouldn't mate you to someone like that." I told her I know Hardin isn't like that and that is why I'm thinking about it.

she looked at me and said, "Asp the night Wyatt proposed to me we did mate, and let me say it was AMAZING!" I looked at her and said you little skank tell me everything in detail!

she raised her brow and said, "won't this be weird for you seeing how close you are to Wyatt?" I looked at her and said girl please Wyatt and I are close but if he wasn't like family, He is attractive enough that I probably would have asked him out if you weren't his mate and head over heels in love with him, and if I didn't have a mate.. she shook her head and laughed.

ok so tell me everything I nudged her with my elbow. she said "he placed rose petals on his bed and had chocolate covered strawberries next to his bed although we didn't even eat them by the time we got to his room and he closed the door I pushed him against the door and crashed my lips into his and I started stripping him then he stripped me then we went to the bed. he crawled between my legs told me he loved me and then told me it was going to hurt but the pain would turn to pleasure in a few minutes. he told me to keep breathing and the next thing I knew I was screaming from pain but within 5 minutes it started to feel good we made love all night. it was the most amazing feeling Asp." I looked at her and my mouth was hanging open.

I started blushing and said did you get my text that night? she looked at me and said, "yeah but what were you talking about? I didn't understand the text all it said was something about an O."

I looked at her and said yeah she kept looking at me then it dawned on her what I was meaning she squealed and said "shut up no you didn't" I nodded my head and said yeah she asked if I was by myself or if Hardin had something to do with it.

I blushed again but told her about how we showered together then went to my room and we both got pleasure. she squealed and said, "Asp you are halfway there girl now all you need to do is go all the way!" I told her I was thinking about going through with it after his Alpha ceremony.

after our talk, I headed home to get ready for my family dinner. when I got to the restaurant I sat down with my parents and asked where my brother was. my mom said,

"he is going to be a few minutes late he said he had something important to do before he to do first."

15 minutes later my brother Dayton finally showed up and he was dressed nicely which is very unusual for him. we asked what he was dressed up for and he said he had something to go do after we were done with dinner. after dinner my brother was in a hurry to leave so I decided to follow him to see what was so important. I hid behind a tree in the woods behind their packhouse and what I saw had my blood boiling. Daphanie was kissing Dayton. I took off to my car and called Hardin. when he answered he sounded like he just woke up. I asked if I woke him and he said he had taken a nap since he didn't have much to do tonight. he asked me what was up and I asked him if he had seen Daphanie lately he said started to say no but then paused. he said actually he had seen her the day before yesterday and it wasn't a pleasant sight. I asked what he meant and he told me she showed up at his door as he was getting out of the shower and she was dressed like a who*e and started to strip in front of him trying to seduce him he threw her out of his room but not before Jakob recorded her making a fool out of herself. I asked why Jakob was recording her and he told me it was so he had proof nothing happened and so he could show the elders if he ever needed to. he asked me why I was asking about Daphanie and I told him because I just saw her making out with my brother in the woods behind our packhouse. he told me he had a feeling she was up to something but couldn't figure out what. after we got off the phone I went inside and I laid there in my bed thinking about how I was going to deal with this b**ch once I was Luna of green moon until I drifted off to sleep.
