The Accident

{Greyson’s POV}

When I heard that enchanting voice I couldn’t help but follow it down the hall. It was as if someone had put a spell on me, hexing me to follow that voice for all eternity. Seeing the beautiful woman in the booth, I immediately grew hard in my business slacks. She was beautiful, more beautiful than any she wolf I had taken to bed. I didn’t recognize her as a pack member though. Until she opened the door, and her scent flooded my nose, Vanilla, she smelled familiar, but in a strange distant way. I looked down, she was so short, but her body was curvy in all the right places. I just wanted to take her now, bury myself inside her and not let her go. That’s when I heard it, I didn’t realize how long I was in my own head until I heard James speak. “Of course, you guys don’t remember Olivia? Olivia Black? She’s here visiting her father.” He said a worried look etched across his face.

Then it clicked, Olive, the girl without her wolf when we were kids. I knew she smelled familiar, but.. I remember, we weren’t very good to her. We teased her a lot, even fought with her. How could I have forgotten about that?

“Olivia?” Jackson said shocked. He walked over and threw him arm over her shoulder leaning down on her. His body was too close to hers and I could feel Fenrir coming to the surface. “Wow you look incredible!” He said smirking down at her, I could see his eyes trailing her cleavage.

She laughed slightly, her body language showing she was uncomfortable. I tried to stop him, but Fenrir was ready to kill Jackson, I let out a very audible, guttural growl.

“Hello again Greyson.” Olivia said coldly. “Nice to see you too.” She spat out, she was angry, with me.

“What’s wrong boss, you don’t think she’s pretty or something. I mean da**, she’s really grown into a s*** woman..” Jackson trailed off leaning back and checking out her a**. My eyes narrowed on him, Fenrir making his presence known once again.

“Jackson, stop it!” She uncomfortably laughed out, his eyes were trailing across her body, MINE, I kept repeating in my head. She turned around walking back into the booth to grab her jacket, her back was to us, and seeing nothing but a gold, bejeweled chain hanging across it got Fenrir and I both fired up!

Another low growl escaped my throat before I ran in behind her closing the door and flipping the switch. “You’re just going to ignore me like that?” I asked anger building by the minute! “and who let you walk around in such a reveling dress?” I finished looking down at her small silhouette.

“Alpha, the booth is still recording, also, I gave myself permission to dress this way, and you didn’t say anything to me either. I’m not going to fall at your feet and suck you off because I found out you’re my mate. You’re also a playboy and I don’t need that right now! I came back to visit my father, and once I’m done with my visit I’m leaving. So kindly excuse me, your almighty Alpha-ness, but I’m going to go ask my father to meet me at a restaurant instead!” She said pushing past me and running back into the other room.

I just stood there too shocked to move. “Boss.. so.. little Olive is your mate?” Jackson said. “Sorry boss, if I knew I wouldn’t have..” he began.

“It’s alright, I know you wouldn’t have done anything. James, erase the last part of that tape, but send me a copy of her song she was singing.” I said looking over at James, he nodded in response and I ran out of the room to catch up to her, da** she was fast!

I made it outside the recording studio and looked around for her. I couldn’t see where she had gone, that’s when I heard the roar of a motorcycle. I looked down the street seeing her speeding off on her bike. “Da****!” I yelled kicking up dust on the ground. Jackson ran out behind me, finally making it to where I was. “She’s gone Jacks, I need you to find out where she’s going!” I ordered.

“Sure thing boss!” He panted out, his body bent over, him catching his breath.

“And for fu*** sake, workout more! I can’t have my beta running out of breath while just chasing after the future Luna!” I said laughing at his miserable form.

“Okay boss, I’ll get right on that!” He said standing up straight and pulling out his phone. He began making some phone calls and walked off.

I sat on the bench in front of the recording studio, when I saw a Limo pull up. The only person besides me that uses Limo’s to get around is William, Olivia’s father. I looked as the door opened up, and sure enough out stepped William. “Alpha, to what do I owe the honor?” He said smiling at me, his arms open wide walking over to me.

“William, I was actually just trying to talk to your daughter, but it seems that she had somewhere to be. She said something about going to a restaurant instead to have some dinner with you, I’m sure she’ll call soon, would you mind if my beta and I rode with you to surprise her?” I said, trying to find any way I could to get back to her, and hopefully get into her good graces.

“Of course Alpha, I’d be honored to have you and your beta join me. Let me just call her real fast and find out where she is heading to.” He said smiling and pulling out his phone. He dialed a number and after a few rings I heard an answer.

“Dad, now’s not a good ti..” before she could finish her sentence I heard a scream, a loud crash then the line cut out.

“Olivia? OLIVIA?” He yelled out, he quickly dialed 911 to tell them what had happened. After about 4 minutes they called back alerting him of an accident along the road near the edge of the pack land.

“Let’s go!” I said hopping in the Limo, Jackson and William hopping in after me. I yelled for the driver to go to the location of the accident.

After about 10 minutes we pulled up to the scene, three ambulances and two police cars were already there, the police were taping off the scene. I jumped out of the car running over to the accident. “We can’t find the driver of the motorcycle.” I heard one of the first responders say.

I ran over looking around, there was a large hill on one side, and a rock wall on the other. The car was smashed into the rock wall, and the bike was in the middle of the road, but where was Olivia? I frantically looked around Fenrir clawing to come forward and hunt her. I looked over the hill, I studied the surrounding area and that’s when I saw leaves that had been moved and smashed. “Down here!” I yelled jumping over the guard rail and trudging down the hill. I followed the marks on the leaves, and then I saw it, blood, lots of blood against the ground in splatters. She rolled down the hill, but when did she stop rolling? I looked on down the hill, running as fast as my legs would carry me when I finally saw her slumped up against a tree. Her body bent around it, her legs obviously broken, as was one of her arms, she was unconscious. I ran to her grabbing her, pulling her to my chest. “Please wake up! Please!” I cried out picking her up and packing her up the hill to meet the paramedics. They laid her on a stretcher and put a neck brace on her. They strapped her down and packed her up, placing her into the ambulance. Without even thinking I hopped in behind them. “Drive!” I ordered in my Alpha tone. They sped off towards the hospital. “Please wake up Olivia, please!” I said reaching out and brushing a strand of her hair from her face.

“Who is she Alpha?” One of the paramedics asked as they put an oxygen mask on her, and began an IV.

“She’s my mate..” I barely spoke, wanting to save any words to help her. “Wake up Olivia, wake up, be okay.. please be okay..” I whispered leaning down and kissing her forehead.

Soon we pulled into the pack hospital, they rushed her into the emergency room and whisked her away into the operating room. “I’m sorry Alpha, but you can’t go back there with her!” A doctor ran over placing a hand on my arm. “We know who she is, we’ll make sure the Luna comes back to you Alpha, just please, wait here!” He said running in behind the team that took her. The doors swung closed, and I couldn’t help but stand and stare down the hallway.

“Alpha!” William yelled running into the er. “Where is she? Is she okay?” He asked looking around frantically.

“They took her back to start surgery, they have to see what all is wrong, and what they can do for her.” I said pacing back and forth.

“Some people say that I can’t see what is right in front of me, but Alpha, I’d think my daughter is your mate by the way you act about her.” He said looking up at me.

“She is William, she is.. and I drove her away, I had you call.. her accident was my fault..” I said barely a whisper.

“Actually boss..” Jackson stepped forward. “The accident was the fault of the couple in the other car.” He said looking down at his phone and pulling up a recording from that area.

I saw the couple coming around the curve on the wrong side of the road, she was kissing his neck and playing with his d***, he was so focused on her he didn’t see Olivia until it was too late. She slammed into the side of the car sending her flying down the side of the hill, and them slamming into the rock wall. “So they nearly killed my mate, for this?” I yelled so loud the hospital shook.

“Calm down boss, Olivia’s here, remember, they’re fixing her up, I’m sure she’ll be fine.” He said patting my back.

The doctor quickly ran out, he looked around frantically and screamed. “Nurse, I need Morphine for her pain, and page anesthesiology she’s waking up!” He turned and ran back towards the operating room.

I ran in after him chasing him down and making it into the operating room. I saw her on the table crying out in pain. Tears streaming down her face, and blood covering her small body. They cut off her dress leaving her in her underwear and bra, her body exposed, cut and bruised. There was a rib on the right side sticking out of her abdomen, blood pouring from the wound. “We just got her back here Alpha, trying to assess her wounds. Both of her legs are broken, her right one in three places including the femur. Her left one, her tibia and fibula are both broken. Her right arm is shattered, and her right rib cage has multiple fractures and a rib is broken out of the skin. She is in immense pain, we’re getting morphine but you can’t be in here!” He yelled to me.

I looked at my mate, her body battered and broken and walked beside her. I leaned down kissing her forehead. “It’s okay Olivia, it’s all going to be okay, I’m here, the doctors are bringing you some medicine to help with the pain. Close your eyes.” I ordered her, she did and tears slid down her cheeks. I placed my arm gently around her head and laid beside her, her breathing becoming regular, and the pain easing up for now.

The anesthesiologist finally came with the meds, and they knocked her out, and gave her some morphine for the pain. “Okay Alpha, you have to leave now.. we have to reset her bones and stitch her up. You can’t be in here for that.” The doctor said as I stood up beside my small broken mate.

I walked over to a corner and sat down, I looked at him with clear intent. “I’m not leaving, fix my mate, I’m staying here to keep her and myself calm!”

“Fine!” He said. “But don’t say I didn’t warn you! This isn’t going to be pretty!” He finished and began setting her bones. The pain that tore through me, watching my mate suffer, it was immeasurable. I’m not leaving her side until she tells me to!
