The next three weeks were like a breath of fresh air—less drinking, less being alone, and less feeling miserable. If only I knew that having a friend through Hazel would make a huge difference as I had someone to talk to and spend with during my free time, I would have befriended her or anyone long ago. Most often, Hazel would sleep over in my apartment and I would listen to her endless blabbering. One time, she showed me her designs and it was bright, futuristic, and dramatic—definitely not something I would wear. Nonetheless, it was original and creative; She would be a famous designer in the future. As for my apartment, I did clean it a bit as the floor was free of litter and safer to walk on. Also, my sofa looked decent enough as I dusted it off and washed that foul-smelling blanket
