Simone POV
“OMG! Simone, you’re getting engaged!” Cecilia screamed in excitement after I got back to the room. She also happened to witnesses the proposal earlier. Marcus went back to his pack after the party, and he said he would be back again tomorrow to discuss the wedding. “Well, I guess so…” I replied shyly. “What happened back then? What makes you changed your mind? Don’t even try to say about ‘love at first sight’ bullshit on me. I know that’s not the case for you even though he was charming.” I blushed at her words. She read me like an open book. “We were fighting at first, but then he ended on top of me, and we kissed…” I briefly told her. I was too shy to share her the detail. She gasped.
“Are you sure it was only a kiss? How was it? I bet he was good.” she pinched my hands lightly while raising one eyebrow. “The kiss was… mindblowing. I don’t know why dad never allows me to date anyone before. I looked so stupid in front of him since I don’t know how to kiss.” I told her in frustration. She giggled. “I felt something when we kissed, Cecilia. I wonder if it’s a mate connection. I felt as if I could burst into a million pieces if we don’t stop.” I told her.
“I wouldn’t know how to answer that, Simone. I haven’t met my mate yet. But, I think that’s what they said when you met you can feel an instant connection with them.” She replied. “I hope he was my mate, Cecilia,” I said as I changed my clothes. “I’m sure he was. You were so lucky, Simone. Every woman would kill to be in your place.” She joked at me. “I hope I made the right decision by marrying him, Cecilia,” I said again. She hugged me, “Everything will be okay. Now have some rest, Simone. You have to look fresh tomorrow.” That night I went to sleep with him occupying my mind.
****************
The next morning, I was on a horse riding in the yard. My dad owns ten horses, which he took care of by himself. I like to ride a horse. When I was little, dad used to take me to ride with him since my feet were still too short to reach the pedal at that time. I have my own personal favorite, I named him “peanut” since he has the same color of light brown shade. I took peanut on a few laps, circling the yard. Peanut was getting a little bit excited today. He ran faster than his normal speed, but it’s not a problem for me. I was startled as I saw Marcus finally appeared in front of me out of nowhere. Peanut was almost stomped on him. I pulled his lash back to make him stop. Peanut raised his front feet and throwing me from his back.
I screamed as I prepared to fell to the ground, but it didn’t happen as I felt two strong hands catching my body. When I opened my eyes, I saw Marcus smirking at me. “Alpha Marcus, you’ve startled me! Peanut almost got you killed.” I stated at him angrily. He chuckled. “Believe me, it takes more than just a horse to kill me, Simone. And just call me Marcus when we’re alone.” He then put me down. I looked at him, and he looked even better today in his casual outfit.
He wore a black v neck shirt and dark-colored jeans. He looked less…intimidating than yesterday. “You came early today,” I said as we walked side by side. His hand seemed to find his way naturally to me as he intertwined his fingers with mine. I felt a thousand butterflies formed on my stomach whenever we held hands like this. He then pulled me into a hug. He put his chin on my shoulder and inhales a deep breath. “I missed you, Simone.” He said, cupping my face, then leaned his head to kiss me. I was flattered. This is the first time a man says they missed me, an attractive one to be exact.
I wonder did other couples kissed each other this much? Or it’s just us? Now I know how to respond to his kisses. I even teased him back by nipping his lower lips lightly, earning a soft moan from him. “You’re a fast learner, Luna.” I can felt he was smirking even with my eyes closed.
“Teach me more, then.” I challenged him with a seductive smile. I regretted it instantly after the word came out of my mouth. I was asking for a death wish. “You’ll be dead of me, Simone.” He then hoists me up and puts me on his shoulder. It turns out he brings me to my bedroom. How did he know where my bedroom is? He threw my body on the bed after locking the door.
His eyes turn dark. He gave me the same look as he did last night. He hovered on top of me and pressed his lips on mine. I’m not sure if we have a connection, but I felt the burning fiery passion came back to me every time we were kissed. I put my hands on his firm chest and towards his six-pack. He must’ve worked out a lot to maintain his godly figure.
His hands started to wander towards my right boobs, and he massages them lightly. Only yesterday, I found out that messaging my breast could give such a pleasant feeling. “Tell me, Marcus…” I said breathlessly. “Tell you what… luna,” he said as he kissed my neck sensually. Seemed like he’s also busy pleasuring me. Damn! I can’t think straight right now, “Am I your mate?” I finally asked. He suddenly stopped and pulled away. He sat on the side of my bed with his back facing me.
I was confused by his action, “What’s wrong, Marcus?” I put one hand on his shoulder. “Does it matter so much to you?” he asked me softly as he put his hands on top of mine. “I’m just curious, Marcus. That’s all. I have to know if we were about to be married.” I hugged him from the back. We’re still sitting on my bed. We suddenly heard a knocked at the door. “Simone…Are you there? Your dad is looking for you.” Cecilia said from the outside. “Tell him I’m coming right now…” I told her. “We’ll talk about that later after we’ve finished with your dad,” Marcus said after giving me another light peck on my lips. I nodded at him. I felt giddy inside, still not getting used to this touchy relationship.
