Are you ready to step into the magical world of werewolves? This is where the story started…

Simone was the only daughter of the west pack Alpha Alex Johnson. Her father always protects her from the outer world and raised her as a tough woman warrior. Deep inside, she also longs for a normal life. But being a daughter of the Alpha means she carried a lot on her shoulder.

She gave up many things because of her father and the pack, including when her father suddenly arranged her to marry the Alpha of the east pack, Marcus Cooper. She was broken inside. Simone always dreamt of marrying her own mate, that special someone she would willingly give herself without a second thought.

Being an innocent woman with no dating experience, she instantly felt a connection with Alpha Marcus the first time they met and even mistaken him as her mate. So she agreed to marry him. Unexpectedly one day, fate had brought her to met Alpha Caiden Steele, who turned out to be her real mate. What will happen to her when Alpha Caiden also wanted to claim her as his mate? Will Simone give up on her marriage with Alpha Marcus?

CHAPTER 1 - Engagement Party
Simone POV As a daughter of the Alpha in the west pack, Alex Johnson, I carried a lot of weight on my shoulder. My dad always dictates and told me how to do everything. Starting from obeying the rules of the pack, what I should wear, up to my friends’ circle. Every day I have to go through some intense physical training. Dad said that I have to be fully prepared as other packs might come and attack us someday. Sometimes, I felt that it was tiring to become his daughter. I knew he only did this out of his love for me. I was taught how to fight since I was five years old. Even as a woman, I have always been the tough one in the pack. Nobody dared to belittle me because of my gender. My small figure gave me some advantage in fighting. I was blessed with the speed to win in every match. I was the quickest and most agile on the pack. I had two older brothers named Oliver and Ethan. Right now, we had a match in our training session. Just like our usual Monday morning, we were having one on two match. What I mean by that, it was me fighting my two brothers. We’re all already shifted to our wolf form. The rest members of our pack were cheering at us in a crowd. My wolf form had white fur that shines under the moonlight. Dad had once told me that mom met a moon goddess while she was pregnant with me, and the moon goddess blessed me with this beautiful white fur. Dad wanted a daughter so badly. That’s why he insisted mom to gave birth to me even though mom wanted to stop after giving birth to my second brother, Ethan. I was raised without a motherly figure. Mom had passed away since I was a kid. It happened when the enemy from the east tried to take our territory. I was still a little three years old pup back then. I saw how they killed my mom mercilessly. That’s why I obeyed my dad and learned how to fight. I was smart and able to learn everything quickly, unlike my elder brothers. Oliver jumped first and tried to attack me, but I can dodge him easily. As expected, I turned around to see my other brother, Ethan, already jumping towards me as well, ready to pounce at me. But I was able to strike at him first. I sighed, feeling bored. When will they learn? They kept using the same strategy every time we had a match. This Monday match routine with them slowly took its toll on me. I need a tougher opponent to improve my skill. The crowd was cheering at me, I can hear Ethan growling in pain from my attack. He was ready to attack me again when suddenly dad stood between us in his human form. Ethan almost fell on him, but luckily he was able to roll away before it happened. Oliver and I moved back in surprise. The three of us switch back to our human form upon his arrival. “Listen to your Alpha’s order!” Dad said loudly. Even as his daughter, his dominant aura sometimes still scares the hell out of me. The crowd was turned silent at his command. “Today, there will be no match in our pack. Since this is a special day for us, my only daughter Simone Johnson is having her 21st birthday. We would be celebrating two things!” Dad stopped for a while and looked at me. I was getting confused by his statement. “Simone will be having her birthday and engagement party tonight.” He then continued. The crowd is cheering at the news. My eyes got widened. Wait? What? An engagement party? Why did dad never told me about this? I never agreed to this! I stood there frozen. Both of my brothers chuckled after seeing my expression. They like to tease me a lot. Dad curved a wide smile on his face as if he just won the biggest battle of the century. He looked back at me and then left without bothering to explained himself. I ran after him from behind, panting. Even though I was fast, I still found it hard to catch up with his walking pace. He walked directly towards his office and shut the door before me. I swallowed a lump that formed in my throat before carefully knocked on the door. “Come in!” I heard his familiar deep voice from inside the room. I clicked the door open, and I saw him sitting comfortably on his chair. With both hands behind his head. “Dad, mind to tell me what just happened earlier?” I asked, demanding some explanation. “You heard it right, Simone. You’re getting engaged tonight to Alpha Marcus.” He replied calmly. “Why didn’t you asked me first? I wasn’t ready for this! Who is Alpha Marcus anyway? I don’t even know him.” I complained. I still can’t believe he did this to me. “You don’t have a right to decide, Simone! And that’s an order! I have met him once, and he was qualified to be your mate. He was the strongest one in the east pack. We need him to protect our pack.” Dad furtherly explained. “We don’t need anybody to protect us! I can protect this pack by myself.” I replied bitterly to his sick arrangement. Dad let out a deep breath and got up from his chair. He moved towards me, putting both of his hands on my shoulder. “Just face it, Simone. You would never be an Alpha, you’re a woman! I wouldn’t let you get killed like your mom. You need someone to protect you, and Alpha Marcus was the best option so far.” Dad’s words cut me open like a knife. After all the hard and intense training that I had, he still didn’t believe in me just because I was a woman. I felt my vision went blurry as tears start flooding my eyes. “But I only want to marry my mate, Dad. What if he didn’t love me? I will live in misery for the rest of my life.” I reasoned back. “A mate can only make you weak, Simone. Believe me, your mom is not my mate either, but we’re happily married with three beautiful children.” He said, stroking my cheek gently. I can’t believe what he just said. He told me that mom was not his mate? I was always dreaming of finding my mate and fell for him instantly by our mate’s connection. He just shattered my childhood dream into a million pieces in one day. He cupped my face, “Don’t worry…All you have to do is get dressed and look pretty for tonight. You still have a lot of time to prepare.” He smiled at me with an assuring look in his eyes. After a while, I nod weakly without looking at him. I came out of his room, feeling defeated. He was my father, after all, and I didn’t dare to defy him. Let’s just hope Alpha Marcus was as good as he told me.
