11 Moneta glanced at Abraxas. “Will you see to it that their hold is filled during their stay?” Abraxas opened his mouth, but paused and tilted his head to one side as though listening. He furrowed his brow and narrowed his eyes. “I believe they will not be allowed that comfort, My Lady.” Our group tensed. Spiros set his hand on the hilt of his sword and glared at the dragon captain. “What do you mean by that?” Abraxas walked over to the windows and drew aside the curtains. The glass was dirty, but we could see out across the short distance of the island to the seas. The sunny sky had grown cloudy and a rough wind drew white waves out of the waters. The spare weeds across the island bent under the will of the wind and the thin glass shivered as badly as their mistress. Spiros
