‘I informed her about my run, is everything ok?’ she asked them through the mind link. ‘She is with dad and they were discussing something important, she asked us to find you.’ She nodded her head and raked her mind to find something that would concern her. Evaleen has been going through a weird phase since her 15th birthday but she hasn’t told about it to anyone. The nightmares, memories, and reminders of that night have amplified and she is being attracted towards a place but she couldn’t yet pinpoint the exact location. ‘Fine.’ She replied and started to run towards the pack house. ‘Hey wait for us.’ Daiki and Eiji yelled. Evaleen chuckled and increased her speed. As she neared the edge of the woods, she contemplated turning to her human form as she didn’t want to scare the folks. ‘There are few sets of clothes in the hut on your left. We will wait for you here.’ Eiji informed her. She rushed to the hut and came out wearing sweatpants and a loose shirt. A beautiful girl with blonde hair and uniquely colored eyes stepped out with a frown on her face. Daiki and Eiji also returned to their human form with only a short covering of their lower body. “No one can believe that your wolf can be that terrifying,” Daiki joked on their way to pack house. “It’s not exactly a wolf, you know that.” Eiji corrected his twin brother, and he shrugged. Eiji was silent all along the way after that and that bothered Evaleen. Before they could enter, she cornered Eiji, “Okay what’s going on?” “Nothing.” He didn’t meet her eyes and Evaleen knew that there was something suspicious. She raised her eyebrow as if telling him that she isn’t buying it. “Are you leaving Takayama?” He finally asked her. “What? No, where did you get this idea from?” Eiji and Evaleen were close, they both had a crush on each other but she didn’t want to bind him to her when she found out that he believes inmates. On the other hand, Evaleen doesn’t believe in mates. She believes that the right person doesn’t need to be bound by some supernatural powers, it must happen naturally. “I heard granny discussing with my father about some nightmares.” Evaleen’s eyes widened, how did her grandmother find out about her nightmares? “Eiji, you know I have never hidden anything from you. The nightmares which I used to have increased and I have barely had any sleep since my birthday.” “So what does that have to do with leaving?” He whined. “I am not thinking about leaving but after every night I feel like someone or someplace is calling me, attracting me towards my home with a great force. I don’t know how to deal with this.” “Home? How is that possible and why didn’t you tell me about this before?” Eiji was one of the people who knew few details about the war. “I don’t know what it is to tell you, I really don’t, but I think grams might have some answers.” He nodded his head and they walked inside the pack house. Daiki, Akari (Alpha of the Sirclair Blue moon pack), and Evaleen’s grandmother were seated in the Alpha’s office. “Daiki and Eiji, go home, your mother is waiting for you,” Akari ordered his sons and they couldn’t deny their father even if they wanted to stay with Evaleen. Evaleen gave them a reassuring smile. “Evaleen, please sit down.” She sat on the ottoman beside her grandmother. Akari handed her a small cup of tea. “Camilla-san told me that you are having nightmares. Can you tell me what place you see?” “I am sorry but whatever are my dreams or nightmares, I can deal with those on my own. No disrespect to you Alpha but I am not comfortable sharing this with you or anyone.” Evaleen stood up and glared at her grandmother. She hated when people snooped on her business. Evaleen has always been a private person and she doesn’t like to discuss any personal matter with anyone including her grandmother. The war has closed her heart and she didn’t let anybody enter as she believed that it will hurt her or them in the end. “Evaleen!” Camilla warned her granddaughter. Akari stopped her and stood up beside Evaleen. “I know Eva, you don’t like to talk about your personal life but I might be able to help you figure it out. We both are the Alphas and I can help you decipher your night… I mean dreams. I am just trying to help.” “We are not the same and I don’t think the rules here will apply to me.” Camilla sighed at Evaleen’s resilience whereas Akari just smiled. “I know but we are closely related. Moon goddess binds us in many ways. The wolves are the closest to your kind, your father was the Alpha and you being his only child, will or already have taken over all of his power and qualities.” He put his hand forward gently, “Trust me, whatever I see will remain between us.” Evaleen eyed his hand and his eyes to find a trace of a single lie but she couldn’t find any. She hesitantly placed her hand in his and closed her eyes. This was something only Akari can do, due to him being a witch-wolf hybrid; he can read a person’s mind through physical contact but it's clearer when two Alphas meet. Akari inhaled harshly and shut his eyes tightly. Evaleen tried to block out many things and tried focus on the place that appeared in her dream every day. After a minute Akari pulled back his hands and took a step back. He took a couple of deep breaths to get as much oxygen in his lungs. As Evaleen said, she was different and way more powerful than him, looking into her mind was definitely going to take a lot out of him.
