Chapter 2

“We, Thaddeus, Malcolm, Peter, Brayden and Ikos, members of the Sunrise Moon Pack, members of the Elite force, recognize and confirm Gamma Grier Altose as Alpha Grier Altose, of the Sunrise Moon Pack a swear our loyalty to her as our Alpha” My team mates said in chorus. Suddenly I felt a surge of power, starting at my feet and clean through my body to my fingers and hair endings.

A strength like none I had ever felt in my body brought me to my knees.

“I, Grier Altose, accept the position as your Alpha and I will protect you with my life, I swear by the Moon Goddess!” I said, choking on sobs of all we had lost, but now I did not know what to do.

They stood up and helping me to my feet, they stood before me, I knew they were waiting for their positions and my orders, revenge was on all of our minds.

“Ikos,” I say as he steps forward bending to one knee, “do you accept the position as Head-Tracker?” I ask as his smirk works its way to full blown smile full of tears, his lifelong dream coming true.

“I, Ikos Libresti, accept and obey my Alpha Grier Altose, and will fulfill my position to the best of my habilities.” He stands up with his head held high, tears streaming down his face, if only his mate were still alive to see him now.

“Peter,” I say as he does the same as Ikos, “do you accept the position as Delta?”

“I, Peter Magestri, Ac..Acept and obey…my Alpha Grier Altose…fulfill to the …best…of my ab..bilities….” he looks up at me sobbing, “my mom couldn’t see me Alpha!!! She would have been proud of me!!....” he says standing up and forming a line with Ikos.

“I know Peter, we will get who ever was behind this” I say my blood boiling and my new alpha power becoming too much to handle.

“Brayden,” I say as he comes forward, “do you accept the position as Gamma?” I ask as he looks like a deer caught in headlights. “ I know of your father, Gamma Micheal Otreas, of the SeaMoon pack, I have known all along…”I say when he says nothing, “this position rightfully belongs to you”.

“I, Brayden Theo Otreas, accept and obey my Alpha Grier Altose, and will fulfill to the best of my abilities. Thank you G, my father would have been proud.”

“You have nothing to thank me for, it would have been yours if I died anyway” I say to lighten the mood, but it doesn’t work, I don’t have much of a sense of humor.

“Twins, Malcolm and Thaddeus,” I say as they come forward as Brayden takes his place, “do you both accept the position as Beta?”

They look at one another and answer, “We, Malcolm and Thaddeus Petros, accept and obey our Alpha Grier, and with fulfill to the best of our abilities.” They stand and get in formation with the others.

“First line of business, the funerals and burials of all of our previous pack mates… this will take a lot of time and effort… we will have to work around the clock and also I must let the elders know….” I was saying before I was interrupted.

“We already know Alpha Grier…” someone said behind me, I turned around so quick the world spun on it axis, there in front of me were 6 of the 12 elders, the 6 that were supposed to be here for the ceremony.

I shift uncomfortably in my spot from the authority and power radiating from them, “What do you make of this?” I ask.

“We were informed by our secretary who came here to set up the proceedings for the ceremony and is now among the dead, we know the truth and we know who it was…” he silenced as the five men behind me started loudly growling, wanting revenge for their loved ones.

I lifted my hand silencing them, “I am sorry for their reactions elder but as you can see we have just only minutes ago lost everyone we loved!” I said as he just gave us a look of pity that then turned to respect when he saw my right forearm.

He came forward looking at my arm , “I understand, may I see your arm?” he asked holding his hand out.

“Well, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt…” I said as my hand landed in his and he looked closely at the new tattoo branded there. “hmmm, this is quite the tattoo, Alpha, more than a tattoo…” he looked back at the rest of the elders as he continued, “it is the Alpha Brand, granted by the Moon Goddess, there is no fighting her Title gentlemen…the majority of the remaining pack have granted her the title before the Moon Goddess” then he turned to his left, looking to the trees and said, “that includes you, if you want her place come and fight for it!”

Suddenly, out of the treeline came 3 lonely figures, 3 known figures. Shock was on all of our faces, Tobias, his mate Ashley and Deacon, Tobias´ brother, came walking towards us, with pride on their faces.

“Finally, someone saw us, we were wondering when this sob story was going to end!!!” Tobias said looking proud of himself, “we had to wait until she was recognized as Alpha to take it from her too, it will be easier to kill a stupid slut like her.”

“Come and try” I said looking him dead in the eye, my wolf Diosa showing herself through my eyes. No one had ever seen my wolf, other than my parents, the previous Alpha, Alpha Daniel and my men in the Elite, so when he saw my blue-green eyes turn gold with red flakes, he hesitated.

“You have a wolf?” he asked

“Come and find out” both me and my wolf said at the same time, I had already mindlinked my men, they surrounded them when they were busy looking at my eyes, not realizing what was going on around them.

“Just kill her babe, I cant wait to be Luna!!!” Ashley said in her nasally voice, making me cringe.

“I think you might want to look around you, “ I said crossing my arms over my front as they turned and saw they were surrounded and that the Elders were on our side. “Well for one, I think you have some explaining to do, why the f**k are you three even alive?” I asked as they took a defensive stance.

“Oh and don’t even bother trying to fight, they have received their titles and positions, that includes their new strength to go with their titles so fighting just wont work.” I said through gritted teeth as they sunk to the ground in surrender.

“We were paid to give the coordinates of the pack grounds and when the ceremony was going to be held, they want the land and if we were Alpha and Luna we would sell it to them” said Tobias, now with fear in his eyes as he looked up at all of us with hope that this information would get him out of trouble. Yeah not happening.

“Elders, I am new to the position as Alpha, I request your permission and your presence through the interrogations of these three traitors.” Tobias looked at me in horror.

“Noooo please let us go we just wanted the money!!!” he screamed

“The money?? I want to be Luna you i***t, you said I would be Luna!” Ashley screamed at Tobias

“Malcolm, Thaddeus and Brayden, please take the traitors to the dungeons.”

“Yes Alpha”, they chorused, as they each took one of the traitor to the cells for later interrogation, after we had buried our pack. You could tell that Tobias was getting an earful from his mate that he had lied to her and so on.
