Blake and Travis went out of the car. I put my hands on the car window and watched the two of them. I heard bones cracking, snapping, and clothes being torn as the both of them fully transformed into wolves. I gasped in surprise when I saw Blake’s wolf. He's a red wolf with reddish-tawny fur; it's the rarest wolf color of all time! “He’s gorgeous, right? That’s ours!” Claire spoke dreamily to me, and I simply scoffed at her. Blake is, in fact, quite attractive, but I will not tell her that; if she finds out, she will taunt me. He’s also bigger than the rouge werewolves because of his Alpha blood. Travis is also a big wolf, but not as big as Blake’s. He’s a cream-colored wolf with captivating brown eyes.
I flinched when thunder clapped and echoed through the forest. The rogues—there were four of them—started encircling Blake and Travis like they were their prey. The rogue snarled at Blake. Blake’s eyes flashed angrily as he stepped forward and growled loudly, challenging the rogue in front of him. The rogue, dissatisfied with Blake's actions, sneered and swiftly attacked him, prompting the others to follow suit. As they clashed, all you could hear was the gnashing and snarling of their wolves.
Four on two is tough, but neither Blake nor Travis is backing out of the fight. The gray rogue jumped onto Travis' back, aiming for its neck, but Travis quickly threw him off his back and bit its neck until it died. My heart almost stopped beating, and when I saw the brown wolf bite his shoulder, I almost ran towards Blake. He tried to fend it off and quickly pinned the brown wolf to the ground, biting its neck really hard. I sighed in relief and clasped my chest. They're winning! The two of them quickly pinned down the remaining rogue and killed it. But before Blake could react, I saw another rogue come out of the shadowy forest and lunge at Blake, making him suddenly fall to the ground and bite his belly.
“Blake!!” I shouted as I opened the car door and ran towards him. Travis wrestled the rogue to the ground. They were both growling and biting each other until Travis finally landed a fatal bite on the rogue and killed him. Blake howled in pain as I placed him on my lap, blood flowing from his wound. Travis quickly changed back to his human form and handed me Blake's shirt, which I used to press on his wounds. He slowly changed back to his human form and smiled weakly.
“I’m not going to die, so why are you crying?” He said it weakly, wiping away my tears. I didn’t even realize that I was already crying. “I’m not crying! You’re mistaken.” I said. Travis dressed him up and helped me carry him back to the car. We both sat on the back. Blake leaned on me with bloody shoulders, belly, and scratches all over his body.
“He needs to see a pack doctor.” I said this as I looked at him. His eyes are closed, and he’s wincing at the pain every time we bump into an uneven road. “We’re two hours away from the pack.” Travis said, I can see worry evident in his voice. He speeded up the car while I held Blake’s hand. My wolf, Claire, whimpered and kept pacing back and forth, worrying for her wounded mate. After a seemingly long drive, we have reached the Blue Moon Pack. Travis quickly got out of the car.
“Where’s Paulo?! We need him now!” Travis shouted, startling the people around him. One of them pointed out a building across the street. He hurriedly opened the car door and drove to where the building was. He carried Blake and banged on the clinic door. Paulo, who I think he is, opened the door and was surprised to see his wounded Alpha. “What happened?” He asked while Travis laid Blake on the bed.
“Rogue attacked.” Travis answered, and Paulo washed his hand and used a clean cloth to clean out as much blood as possible from Blake’s wound. After he cleaned the wound, he picked up his medical kit and started suturing Blake's wound. “He’s okay now; I’ve already sutured his wound. He’ll wake up later.” He said, I smiled in relief. Paulo looked at me, wondering who I might be, but Travis cleared his throat, which made Paulo look to where he was. They just looked at each other, probably talking through the pack link. Paulo’s eyes suddenly widened, and he quickly approached me.
“Sorry, I didn’t know. I’m Paulo, the Pack Doctor. Welcome to the pack, Luna.” He smiled and bowed his head. “Oh, you’re mistaken. I’m not your Luna.” I said that awkwardly and smiled.
“Oh, right. I’m sorry!” He quickly apologized. “Trav, do you have a minute? I have to talk to you about something since Alpha Blake is asleep,” Paulo said. Travis nodded his head, and they both headed outside, leaving me here with a sleeping Blake. I took the chair and placed it next to Blake's bed. I looked at his sleeping face. “So, did you change your mind now?” My wolf asked me. “Nope, not a bit. I’m still going to leave this place.” I answered, and that’s not a lie. “Why can’t you just accept the fact that the Moon Goddess gave us a mate? That's why he’s going to be with us for a lifetime, and you can’t do anything about that.” She said. I was about to answer her when I saw Blake open his eyes. He suddenly sat down and hissed in pain.
“You need to lie down.” I said that and gently pushed him on the chest. He looked so shocked for a second, but it turned to a smirk. “I wouldn’t mind doing it here, love.” He smiled seductively, this dirty little fcvker! I knew he was thinking of something else! “That’s not what I meant!” I shouted at him, but he just laughed at me. To my irritation, I suddenly pressed my finger on his wounded shoulder.
“Fvck! I’m just kidding, love! Stop it.” He said this and grimaced. I pulled my finger back and smirked at him. That will teach him a lesson that he shouldn’t mess with me. “We should go back to my house.” He said this as he took my hand and played with my fingers. "You should rest here; your healing is not complete yet." I said I was about to pull my hands, but he held them firmly.
“Nah, it’s too cramped in here. I don’t like to stay. Come on, please help me, love. I want to go back to our house.” He said to me, I sighed, but regardless, I helped him stand up. We headed outside, and he pointed me to where his house is. I’m glad it’s not that far from where we are right now. We walked until we reached his house, but I noticed something weird while we were walking. There’s no one, not even a single soul, roaming around the street. Weird. What happened to those people we asked earlier? He opened the door and led me inside the house. His house is big and painted in beige.
“Take me to that room.” He said so and pointed to a room next to the kitchen. I obliged and led him to where the room was. We entered the room, and I let him sit on the bed. “I know you’re not comfortable with me in your room, so I’m going to sleep here in the guest room. My room is upstairs; it’s the second room near my office, and you can sleep there. There’s also food in the kitchen; I know you’re hungry and tired.” He spoke to me, and as I nodded and prepared to leave the room, he intervened.
“Rest well, my love.” He smiled, and I blushed and hurriedly left the room. Before going upstairs, I went to the kitchen and picked up the food left on the table. I arrived at his room and finished eating my food. I walked to his cabinet, grabbed one of his shirts, and inhaled it before putting it on myself. I couldn't care less about washing or anything else; I just wanted to sleep. So much happened this day, and I didn’t have the energy to do anything else. I closed my eyes and drifted away to sleep.
“Sleep well, my love.”
