Entangled

Chapter 7

"Hey mum, I got you right there, you can not deny it this time," Kim said as she rushed into her mum's room smiling.

"Hey young lady, what is it this time, what have I done again," her mum said, trying to cover up the smiles all over her face.

"Mum, I have noticed that you have been happy all these days, but you have continued to deny the fact that there is something that has been making you happy," Kim told her.

"Hey, there is not nothing dear," Mrs Caterina said.

Madam Caterina knows that lying to her daughter is one of the most difficult tasks ever, she and Kim have been very close ever since her husband left them, Kim knows her like the back of her hands.

She is not proud of the decisions she is about to take, so she has to keep this as a secret from her daughter until she finds out what she really wants from Friedrick.

Caterina went into the bathroom to have her bath, the scent of her lemon scented soap made her feel refreshed. It was one of the best moments and now she really felt relieved from the stress of the day's work.

She takes up her cell phone to contact her travel agent.

"Hello, I would like to speak with one of the agents," Caterina said into the phone.

"Hello ma'am, kindly give us your details, your name, and where you would be traveling to," a man's voice came from the other end of the phone.

"I would like to make arrangements for a trip to London, I have an occasion to attend there, make arrangements for two persons," Caterina told him.

This particular travel agency has been working for Caterina for a very long time, they are up and doing and they are the best in the country.

The travel agency's services have been top notch and that is the reason they are usually contacted by top influential people in the society.

Caterina has personally sought their services on several occasions both for her business trips and vacations.

The fact that she would be going to this event with Friedrick was an icing on the cake.

She hoped that he was really prepared for it.

This would be the second time that Kim would be asking her mum about her sudden show of happiness yet she continued to deny it.

She was certain something was actually making her mum that happy.

"Hey mum, whatever that is making you happy, then I am really happy for you as well, it is really good to see her smiling after some years," she said aloud to herself.

Kim remembered the cute guy she had met on her way to the salon, it was very unusual for a cute young guy like him not to own a car of his own, perhaps something might have happened to his car, she thought.

And for the fact that she has not received any call from, perhaps he did not find her attractive enough to call her,but deep in her heart she knows that she possesses the charm that any man can not be able to resist.

Fredrick got to his new apartment tired and exhausted. He checked the time and it was already 8:pm. Glad that he now has an apartment of his own to settle, he still misses the cost feeling of the hotel environment, and the fact that he does not stress himself looking for what to eat as he could always access the hotel's restaurant anytime he wishes.

The privacy he wants is what he is actually going to get in this new apartment. The fact remains that he would have to eat junk on several occasions if he does not come back on time to make some food for himself.

Talking about the hotel, he remembers he had promised to invite Maria the hotel staff to his apartment.

The urge to be with a woman sweeps through the heart of Friedrick, but he does not want to be with just any woman, he wants to be with the one his heart truly desires, with the one his heart truly loves and admires.

"Well, I guess the flings have to continue till I am able to get the one I would truly cherish,but for now, I would have to continue enjoying every bit of them all," he lets out a loud laugh as he sips his drink.

He took up his phone and put a call across to Maria.

"Hello, it is Friedrick, the guy that logged at the hotel where you work, can you remember me now,"

"Yeah, I do, I have been expecting to hear from you all this while, what happened, why did you not call?" Maria asked, feeling excited to hear from Friedrick.

"I am sorry, I did not call,I have been a lot busy these days," he replied.

"Well, I thought you might have discarded me because of what we had at the hotel room," Maria said.

"No, that is not it, would you be chanced to come to my apartment tonight? I am bored and I would love to have you as company tonight," Friedrick said.

"Oh, I am really sorry dear, but I would be working tonight, so I would not be available to come over," she replied.

"Ok, that is fine, maybe some other time," Friedrick said. He was disappointed that what he had planned out for the night did not work out.

He had wanted to use the presence of Maria to warm his bed, he had been so occupied with fixing his new apartment that he hardly had time for his adventures.

One of the difficulties about being a bachelor is trying to figure out what to eat. Friedrick finds it difficult going to the kitchen but then he has no choice as he is famished.

He went into the kitchen to fix something for himself to eat. Famished, he made scrambled eggs and ate it with the little bread he had left in the refrigerator and gulped it down with a bottle of soda.

After eating his food he went to bed to have some rest, there were lots of things to be done and he would be going to the office early the next morning.
