Rejection and 2nd Chances

Shifting

This Nana Anna person was an amazing cook everything tasted so good! And it was very sweet of her to make different dishes for me. The thought of shifting scared me though, I know i wasnt sure about the baby but i didnt want anything bad to happen to it either especially not after seeing for the first time but it doesnt look like a person or even a wolf yet.

Do you think its safe to shift? i asked Lyra

Honestly im not sure if it is, but i can say that i dont feel that our pup would die if we shift. she answered back

we are told in health class that shifting in pregnancy is not a good idea and you cant shift after your 6 weeks along because it will kill the baby. And if you do shift before your 6 weeks you have to stay in wolf form longer and your wolf will know for sure when its not safe for the baby to shift back because it will die, but may not know when it is safe. You'd think they would know if they know when its not but even shifting alone can kill the baby.

Ive got an idea. if we are going to shift back we are going to do it in the hospital where if something goes wrong they can help us faster. i told Lyra and she agreed so she took control to lead us to the hospital. Walking up to the door she pawed at it and looked back at the Alpha giving him puppy eyes and he opened the door indemnity with a little smile and soft i swear loving eyes.

"Luna where are you going?" Justin the pack Gamma asked, honestly i liked justin i just dont want him calling me luna im not the Luna. Lyra growled a soft growl at him and went down the stairs with Him, Jane and the Alpha following. Getting to the bottom floor was very easy than it was just a matter of sniffing out the hospital, Which shouldn't be to hard they always smell like cleaner and Hand sanitizer.

Walking towards the back of the stairs We found the kitchen which also smelled like cleaner.

Well at least we know the kitchen is clean I said to Lyra who laughed at that

Your right there. she said after she stopped laughing.

Going past the kitchen there was 2 doors that looked like the rest of the wooden doors in the house we have passed so far but they opened automatically when i was close to them. When they opened the hospital smell hit me hard.

"The hospital?" i heard the alpha voice and Lyra gave him a wolfy smile "Are you going to shift here?" he asked and Lyra nodded.

"Justin go ask Ainsley and Paisley if they can get some clothes down here for her." Alpha told Justin.

Who the hell are Ainsley and Paisley?! Lyra said to me with a snarl.

"Whats the matter little wolf?" Alpha asked me with this knowing smirk that i wanted to smack off his face.

We shifted back not even waiting for the clothes or getting into a room and once i was standing on my own 2 feet i looked at the alpha

"Well its ni...." i was cut off by the Alpha before i could finish my sentence.

"What are you doing any ma..." he didnt finish what he was saying because his wolf let out a wall shaking growl than was pulling me behind him in a flash looking ready to kill the young man that came from the other end of the hall and stopped dead in his tracks upon seeing me naked.

"MINE" His wolf growled at the young man who dropoped to the floor he was so shocked and scared, his eyes on the floor and his neck bared.

A nurse comes to see what's goingz comes Justin and grabs me a blanket to cover up with on

"Thank you" i tell her taking it but not using it.

What on earth is his problem? were shift and our clothes rip so you know we are used to nudity its not a big deal. i complain to my wolf

Just cover up ok she says back to me

"There im coveroed Alpha" i say to him after covering, he looks over his shoulder at me seeing im covered than takes deep breaths to calm himself.

"Ive got clothes. wow Luna your beautiful" Justin said when he came up to us causing Alpha to growl again.

"Sorry Mas" Justin says and holds out the clothes, I take them from his hand.

Hell no! my wolf says to be when we smell the clothes. something about the she wolf scent on them makes Lyra angry.

"Yeah not going to happen" i say dropping the clothes on the ground "Let me have your shirt Justin?" i ask sweetly and another growl comes from the Alpha.

"Okay whats your problem!" i ask him with way more attitude than anyone should speak to an Alpha with but at this point i dont care.

He doesnt say anything just takes off his shirt and holds it out to me. I look at Justin and hes not made a move to give me his shirt so my opinions are the Alpha shirt or those clothes.

i take the shirt from him and put it on careful not to drop the blanket, his shirt comes to myid thigh i can wear it was a dress.

"Follow me" was all the alpha said after his shirt was on me in his Alpha tone. Which didnt effect me at all, odd.

doing what he asked i Followed him through the house not looking at it much again, and into a beautiful office. it was L shaped with a huge wooden desk directly infront of the doors on the other end of the room with large bay windows and 3 guest chairs infront of the desk, on the right of thw office when your in the doors there is a large fireplace with couch and chairs for seating and on the wall looking to your left there are multiple bookshelves that are filled with books floor to ceiling, and plush looking rug on the floor the seating area. The walls where a tan to cream color and everything was darker wood with leather furniture, the alpha walked to the desk and leaned on the front of it than jestered to the chair infront of him.

"Please sit" he said in a calmer tone, i did what he said.

"So..." i said after a moment of silence

"Whats your name?" the alpha asked me

"Josette. and yours Alpha" i replied

"Mason, Mason Donovan Alpha of Riverview pack." he told me with an expecting look in his eyes, sighing i told him the information he had given me.

"Josette Lockland, Daughter and sister of Red Wood Pack head warrior."

"Daughter and sister?" Justin asked

"My father was the head Warrior before he died and now my brother is" i simply answered

"Well Josette you are my mate" Mason said to me and i shook my head.

"No you cant be" i said and i saw the hurt in his eyes and heard a broken whimper that was barely audible, i looked at Justin and Dr. Jane and they didnt seem to hear it where they where standing closer to the couches.

"Leave" Mason said to Justin and Jane, Jane left right away Justin lingered.

"Mas" Justin started but was cut off by a growl, Justin put his hands up in surrender and left the room closing the door behind him.

"You are my Mate!" he said in a stern voice to me.

"Alpha Mason I cant be, i have a ma...mate." the word was hard to get out and saying made my chest tight.

"Than where is he!" he asked getting angry and i saw little bits of red in his eyes.

"He... He..." the tears welled up in my eyes and before i could get control and say anything more Mason had his arms around me holding me tight and stroking my back. The tears broke free and i sobed in his arms with my face in his chest.

"He marked another....In front of me... He made her his luna and didnt even rejecte me before he did it!" i said while sobbing into his chest, i dont know if he even know if he heard me or not but he held me in his warm arms and let me cry while he rubbed my back and told me everything would be alright. I dont know why i broke down in front of him or even let him hold me but i did and when i was finally done crying i felt a little better.

"you must calm down little wolf, for the baby" Mason softly told me and i took deep breaths calming down

"Would you believe i could be your second chance mate?" mason asked after i was calm but still in his arms

How could he be my second chance mate, how could i be so lucky to find a second mate days after being rejected. Thats just not how it is.
