I went straight to his bedroom and good thing it wasn't locked. Dali-dali kong binuksan ang nakapatay na ilaw at natagpuan ko siyang tahimik na nakatagilid ng higa. He was facing the other side of the room while I was at his back. I saunter towards him and sat at the other side of his King sized bed.
Gumalaw siya ng bahagya tanda na gising pa siya.
"I heard" he whispered. The sound of his voice is utterly quiet. And I don't like it. It scares me.
"Everything" mahinang dugtong pa niya. Pagkatapos ay hindi na siya muling nagsalita. The ambiance of the room is killing me. The silence and the loud tick-tock of the clock is deafening.
I felt the harsh beating of my heart. My ears were focused on the smooth sound of his breathing.
