“Sorry.” Hecta said half smiling. “But when someone pisses me off, I can’t hold back anymore.” She said getting to her feet. “So why don’t you show us where we will be staying, I have a few prisoners I’ll need to bring once we have the house.”
“Sure I can show you right now if you like?” he said pulling out some keys from his desk. “It’s a minute’s walk from here” he said walking towards the front door. “Why don’t you and Marcus comes, the rest can stay here until we do this.”
Hecta and Marcus followed David outside and up the hill. The walk wasn’t that long, he unlocked the house, and it was a huge house. “I figured the best house for you Hecta.” He said moving out of the way so she could walk into the house, Marcus followed behind.
“This is decent.” She said looking around. “Do you have a dungeon downstairs?” she said looking at David.
“Of course we do.” He half smiled. “Sometimes I have to punish people, so I’ve made all the houses that we use have dungeons so there are no issues. There are other features to the house you might like. Let’s just say the angels can’t come in here, they won’t even be able to break the magic down.” He said shaking his head. “So is this house good for you or no?”
“Yes.” Hecta said looking at Marcus. “This is doing just fine.” She said taking the key David dangled in front of her face. “Alright come back to my house, get your demons and anything you need and enjoy your stay here.” He said walking out the door. “Oh there is one more big thing about the house, there is a portal downstairs too, sometimes I might have to come and use it, but it does come in handy when the Angels are after you.”
“Good to know.” She said following him back down to his house, all the demons she brought with her stood around watching them, Victor stood there. “So what is the word?” he asked looking at Hecta.
“We found a place.” Marcus said. “We’re going back to my house to bring our prisoners here, and then we’re going to take care of a little merchant that has been giving me issues for some time. If you want you can come and help, if not we’ll call you when we need you again.” He said walking past him. “Alright everyone back to my house.” He said turning to face Hecta. “Are you ready?” he said making the portal, all the demons went through it. David stood there and watched Hecta walk through.
Once on the other side, Hecta wanted to get all the things they needed and leave. She didn’t want to take the chance and have Misty and Carlos show up. She wasn’t ready for them.
“Get the prisoners to the house first Marcus. Find me Dremis I know you’re going to need his help.” She said walking into the kitchen, she wanted to make sure they brought her punch, she needed a glass right then and there, and Marcus followed her into the kitchen.
“Are you feeling alright?” he said touching her.
“Yeah I just needed this.” She said taking a drink. “I have a feeling we’re not going to have much time, so we need to get the prisoners moved first, and then the magical stuff.” She said shaking her head.
“Don’t worry the prisoners are already moved, they are safe. We just have a few things, and I wanted to make sure you were still coming. I don’t want to leave you here alone, but if you want some time I understand.”
“No we need to leave, make sure we have everything. Start sending our pets to the new house, I will be there in a few minutes.” She said shaking her head. “Don’t worry about me, I can take on anyone that comes after that, I have that much power over Anabel now. Go!” she said pushing him out of the kitchen.
Marcus wanted to wait for Hecta, but he trusted she could get out of there if she had to. He wanted her to have all her power, but he was afraid that her power would kill Anabel’s body, and then it would kill Hecta.
Hecta walked around looking to make sure they didn’t forget anything she thought they might need in their new realm. A portal appeared a few feet from her, she thought it was Marcus coming through, but Carlos and Misty came through.
“Damn I hope she is here.” Misty said looking around. “I hope we can give her this potion and it work.”
Hecta watched the two walk down the hallway, they didn’t know she was there. She could grab one of both of them and them prisoner. She still wasn’t sure she could survive an attack, she would try.
Jumping out of the darkness, she grabbed Misty. Misty cried dropping her book. Help!” Carlos turned around quickly.
“Anabel!” he said looking at her, he could see she wasn’t herself.
“Anabel doesn’t live anymore.” Hecta said struggling with Misty. “She does send her regards though, she is expecting the two of you to join her very soon.” She half smiled. “You are going to be next Carlos. Misty will be after you.” She said releasing Misty and pushing her into Carlos so she had a chance to disappear.
“Wait Anabel!” Misty said getting her footing. “I mean Hecta!”
It was too late; she’d already disappeared and reappeared in their new house. Marcus was talking with Daniel. “So the Angels paid a visit.” She said shaking her head.
Marcus stopped talking; he quickly walked over to her. “Did they see you?” he said looking her over, she didn’t have any marks from them.
“No I told them I’m going to be taking Carlos first and then we’ll be taking Misty. I could have had the Witch, but didn’t want to take the chance since we’re not ready for their attacks.” She said shaking her head. “In time they will come back, and this time we’ll be waiting for them.”
“Are you sure they didn’t hurt you?” he asked again, he knew he was sounding annoying but he wanted to make sure.
“No Marcus I am fine.” She said shaking her head. “They didn’t even know I was there, I could have done a lot to them, and they wouldn’t even know what to do.”
“Good next time I’m going to stay with you, even if you don’t want me to.” He said shaking his head. “I don’t want to take a chance and lose you because you want to stay back and do stuff. Please don’t ask me to leave you alone again?” he said pulling her closer.
“Don’t worry I won’t, I knew they were coming that is why I sent you away.” She said looking up at him. “I told you I don’t want people fighting, at least not yet.”
“Still you may not want them to fight, but they are going to want to fight you.” She said shaking her head. “We have to remember they don’t want us alive, they want us to die or be slaves.”
In time that will happen.” Marcus said playing with her hair. “We have the prisoners here, so we won’t have to go back there again. Hopefully the Angels aren’t smart enough to look here, and if they were to come here, we’ll take care of them. They come here it will become a war if they want it to.” He said shaking his head.
“I know we will, I just want to make sure we are strong enough, I don’t want to lose anyone or anymore demons, we’re already out numbered.” She said looking at him. “Do you know even more demons or are we going to have to recruit from here?”
“Both I think.” He said walking away from her. “I’m going to get us some dinner, we can make a plan and even talk a walk tonight to see what this place looks like.” He said disappearing down the hallway.
Hecta wasn’t hungry, she was kind of angry that Carlos and Misty came, she wanted to take them but she didn’t think the Angels would be stupid enough to let them go there alone knowing Hecta was alive and well.
