Jase didn’t turn up for more than a week, and I had already started packing my things. Val promised to come and take most of them before he came for me. The days were empty without the wolf-man, but I refused to feel sad. On one hand, it was because I kind of knew that Jase was all right and with his pack that he was where he belonged.
