You again

Ryder

After I saved Ariel from the attack it was incredibly difficult for me to leave her alone but I didn't want to give in my wolf's will. He took control over me but I also felt how afraid he was. I called the reception and asked for a guitar and started to write a song about how I felt. I was still sad because of Scarlet and wanted to be free and careless. - Why should you come around Ariel? – I asked my wolf.

“ - Because we are fated to be together with her.”

 - Do you think she suspects something?

“- It is possible.”

- Shit...” -  I said it out loud, after, I got the guitar started to write a song, but fell asleep pretty quickly. The only difference tonight was that instead of living over again the moment when I saw Scarlet with her mate, I cried with fear that Ariel was in danger. Next morning, I woke up to an unknown caller's call. I smirked and grabbed the phone, sighed in and greeted the caller.

* Hello, its Ryder Shadow speaking. Who is it ? -The caller hang up. Probably  he was calling the wrong number. I lied back to the bed when my phone rang again. It was the same number than before. I grabbed it a little more angrily and I heard that my voice sounded frustrated when I said.

* Hello?!

* Hi Ryder! - Omg I immediately got up and all sleepiness  went out of my eyes. It was Ariel's sweet voice.

* Ariel? - I knew it was her but I wanted her to speak  a lot. I needed to hear her voice.

* Yes! I hope I didn't wake you up. “- How sweet.” – My wolf said and purred like a cat.

* No don't worry. - I lied. -  How did you get my number?

* Please don't be angry I asked it from Krisz. – I smiled when I realized she wanted to be in touch with me. - I don't want to disturb you, just wanted to know if we can meet again? - She wants to meet again?! My wolf was jumping like a puppy, and I was smiling like a child at Christmas time, for this scenario Matt and Eric entered  my room . They jumped on my bed and like little girls tried to hear what I was talking about. I growled at them.

* Oh I knew it was a bad idea, I'm really sorry! If there is a possibility that you won't tell about this to my boss I would appreciate it! - Ariel freaked out, poor girl she thought I growled at her!

* Hey! Calm down I got angry with my friends because they can't respect my personal space! And I won't tell about this to your boss with one condition - I heard her swallow hard.

*What is your condition?

*Can you cook?

* Yes...

* So you have to invite us to a traditional homemade Hungarian dinner for today with dessert included! - I saw the surprise on my friends faces.

* Okay sounds fair to me! So at 7pm at my place is fine?

*Of course! See you there!

*See you and give my greetings to Eric and Matthew!

*HIIIII ARIEEEEEL SEE YOUUU TONIGHT! - Matt and Eric screamed in the phone I heard Ariel to chuckle and she hang up.

- Ryder is having a date with his mate! - Eric was jumping on my bed. He smiled like an i***t and shouted - Your father won't kill us!

- I give her a chance, but I still think she can't be Luna.

- Let her prove it herself if she is right for the position – replied  Matthew and in  that moment my wolf spoke. 

" Sorry to interrupt I am freaking happy to see our mate tonight but you didn't ask where  her place is  and she didn't tell you neither". - My smile vanished from my face. Matthew noticed it.

- Hey Ryder what’s wrong? - Eric stopped jumping and stared at me.

- I think she knows...

-She knows what? -Matt asked totally confused.

- That we were the wolves. She didn't tell me where  her place was when   she invited us.

- Maybe she just forgot telling you. Call her back! Even if she suspects something,  if you call her back to ask where  her place is  you can mislead her - Eric said.

- That is actually a great idea- so I called her back.

*Hi Ryder! How  can I help you? - I put her on speaker and the three of us stared at the phone for a few seconds.

* Hello are you there? –she said and I woke up from the surprise.

*Yes, how did you know that I was calling you? - we waited her answer anxiously .

*I saved your number... - s**t! How could I be so stupid?! I hit my forehead with my palm. Then with pretended serenity I said:

*Oh right, I called you back because you didn't tell me where your place is – Matt and Eric showed thumbs up and we all waited for the answer. But what we got, surprised us a lot.

*I know you already know  it and if you excuse me I have a dinner to prepare! See you tonight! - she hang up.

- Well, gentlemen she really knows the truth. Do you think we should tell to my father? – I asked. Matthew frowned his eyebrows and said.

- Until it’s not hundred percent sure that she knows I don't think so.

- And if you finally accept her as your mate it is not a problem at all! - Eric said.

- But what if she works for hunters? - I asked. Matthew shrugged.

- I am not afraid.

- Me neither! Eric?

- It won't be a problem, but if she works for hunters in that case karma is a real b***h! - We all laughed and I called my parents just to check in that we are still alive. It was already pretty late so we grabbed a gyros from a buffet car near the hotel and wondered around the city. I was very excited to meet Ariel again but yet I still had very controversial feelings about  this situation. When it was quarter to 7pm we were in front of Ariel's apartment door. I knocked on the door. An angel opened it. She was in a light blue dress,  it had a nice pin up style and also an apron with the following sentence  " I'm smart, I'm sexy and I can even cook". Her nose had a little flour on its tip. She was absolutely adorable,  I just wanted to get her in my arms but I knew this feeling came from my wolf and I resisted  the urge to touch her.

- Hello guys! You are a little early. Please come in and sit down in the living room, dinner is ready in any minute. - We got in her apartment it was little, but very comfy. We entered to the living room which was  painted white except the ceiling. That had the universe painted on, it was like we were staring at the night sky but indoors. The living room contained a large white window in the middle of the room. At the right side it had a dark blue sofa with two beige armchairs. At the left,  a large bookshelf and above them a gallery. The bookshelves were dark brown and the gallery white. The wall at the side of the door had an ocean styled wallpaper. As we were looking around Eric called me.

- Ryder you have to see this. - I went to the desk and it had lots of books about werewolves on it.

- What the hell?

-Hey there is more on the bookshelves. - Matt said. I was about a better study one of the books when my wolf said.

- " MATE"-  I put down the book and we all turned around. Ariel was standing at the living room's door. Her arms crossed her chest. She saw our irritated faces and opened her arms.

- Guys dinner is ready. Come on! - Little hesitatingly we followed her to the dining room. I was getting very curious about how much she knows but I decided not to ask until she mentions it. We sat down at the table, she was sitting in front of me close to the kitchen. We had our plates in front of us and the food smelt fantastic!

- Good appetite! Dig in guys! - She said and waited.

- Sorry what is this? It smells really good by the way. - Matthew asked.

- Please excuse  Matt, he is a culinary fool - I tried to save the situation but Ariel was perfectly calm all the time.

- This is chicken paprikás with a little twist. My family always used to put some cream or sour cream on it. You won't get it in any of the restaurants this way, and it is served with traditional noodles. I hope you like meat! - she looked at me while she said that. I tried the dish. I don't know why but even though everything was strange about her, I totally trusted this girl. When we finished she cleaned the table and while she was in the kitchen Matt whispered in my ear.

- If you don't want her I will marry her and get “happily ever fat” ! - I growled at him a little, I knew he was kidding but my wolf didn't like these kinds of jokes since we met Ariel. She came back from the kitchen with a sponge -cake.

- This is Somlói galuska. It's a traditional dessert here. I hope you will like it, I made the first time in my life, but I have brownies as well if it’s not good enough. - I took a bite. The sweet flavor of the sponge and cream met with the silky rum and they danced together in my mouth.

-This is heaven – I said and looked into her eyes. - Thank you so much for this dinner.

- My pleasure. Now if you want, we can go out somewhere or just stay in and watch a movie, you can obviously leave as well if you want to -she laughed and waited for our decision.

- Let's just stay in with a movie and some chat – I replied.

- Great choice, please guys choose something, I will wash the dishes in the meanwhile.

- Let me help you with them! Matt and Eric can choose a movie without me. - What the hell happened to me? Washing dishes? Matthew and Eric were as surprised as much as I was for this offer but I wanted to spend some time alone with her.

- Okay if you insist-she went ahead and I followed her like a good dog. I heard my friends burst into laughter as they have never ever seen me being so obedient. Ariel, what are you doing with me?
