Episode 5: Fight for Alpha

Liviana's POV

"Now that your Alpha is gone. Who will rule over the pack?" said one man. He was the Alpha of another pack not too far away.

"Surely enough, you'll need a new Alpha" he continued with a grin. Another Alpha stepped in.

And then another and another.

My blood boiled. They couldn't even wait till tomorrow to be idiots.

"This pack already has an Alpha" I spoke. They all looked at me.

"Who would that be?" one Alpha asked.

"Me" I said sternly. They all laughed along with their pack leaders but my pack remained quiet as they watched us.

"Miss Crest, that's simply absurd" another Alpha said laughing.

"I've been leading this pack since my father's absence. You may only have heard now that my father is dead but this pack has been under my care even before you all knew" I said. They looked at stunned.

"A she-wolf cannot be Alpha" another Alpha stated.

"Yet, I am" I said.

They approached me with their vicious expressions and Edmond and Alex shielded me from them with a growl.

They stopped at their tracks.

I motioned them to stand down and I faced the Alphas again.

"I do not need your approval. If you wish to challenge me for the position of Alpha, I shall accept" I said. They all laughed and chuckled.

"Then so be it" they said.

"Liviana" Alex held my arm to stop me.

"This is my pack. I will protect it at all cost" I said sternly.

I walked to the middle and the Alpha's circled me before they shifted into their wolf forms. I chuckled in disbelief.

I shifted to my wolf and everyone was taken aback by my form. It was the first time I shifted to my new form in front of everyone.

I was a lot bigger than the other Alphas.

The Alphas growled at me in surprise.

Then one Alpha finally came inside the circle.

The battle started.

He lunged at me but I quickly avoided the attack and countered by his left side. He howled in pain.

He tried to attack again to no avail and I bit his neck throwing him. He whimpered in pain.

I approached him as he struggled to get up. I growled and howled before biting his neck. He struggled to lose my grip but failed miserably.

I let him go and he lay flat on the ground. Dead.

The other Alpha's growled more aggressively at me. I snarled at them.

Another Alpha came in the circle ready to go head to head with me.

He lunged at me with his claw and I managed to avoid it by a hair. He countered with another claw and another but I avoided them all.

When I finally got my chance, I tackled him and pierced his heart with my claws. He howled in pain and soon enough, he stopped breathing too.

I felt the remaining Alphas in the circle were both raged, confused and scared.

They knew my father was strong so they never messed with him but I'm sure they didn't think that I, his daughter, even at such a young age can be just as ferocious as my late father.

The 3 remaining Alphas came in the circle all at once ready to attack me. I see, they decided to gang up on me now.

Edmond and Alex quickly shifted enraged and growling at the sudden move of the Alphas. I snarled at them to stay back.

"Don't!" I warned them through mind link. They stepped back as I faced the 3 Alphas by myself.

They all attacked at the same time in different sides. I jumped up and avoided them as they had a collision with one another.

They growled and snarled at each other irritated at their dumb move.

Then one attacked followed by another and another. I was able to grab one of them by the neck.

He whimpered and howled as I held him between my canines. The other two attacked and I used him as shield. He whimpered louder when one of the two accidentally bit him while trying to attack me.

I finally let him go and threw him aside when his body became limp and I knew right then that he was dead too.

The other looked in horror seeing another one of them dead.

I stepped closer to them and they stepped back growling at me. I stepped closer again and then one lunged at me. I clawed him by the face and fell whimpering in pain.

I took the chance to chance and held him down before pulling his throat out. He died immediately.

The last one remained.

I approached him as he backed away from me in fear.

This is what they wanted.

I lunged at him but I seemed to have let my guard down because he was able to avoid me and scratch me by the neck.

Everyone gasped in surprise. It was my first injury since the battle started.

I didn't react though it stung. Instead it made me more fierce and heightened my adrenaline even more.

My eyes burned red. Amaris wanted to finish it immediately.

Being more cautious, I lunged again and I successfully got him by the neck. I bit hard as he whimpered and squirmed at my hold. Finally, I beheaded him.

I stepped back letting go of his head as everyone looked at me both in surprise and in fear.

El came to my side and I shifted back to my human form and slipped into the oversized black button down blouse he gave me.

I also wiped the blood off my mouth with a towel and returned it to El before facing the remaining pack leaders that the late Alphas left.

They kneeled before me in fear.

"Go and tell your pack that you have a new Alpha. Tell them how your late Alpha was too impulsive and power hungry that he lost his life in battle. I shall give you a few days and you must report back to me immediately" I said with authority. They nodded.

"Go!" I said with a growl and they scampered away from me in a hurry. My pack leaders and Alex approached me immediately.

I went to the middle where everyone can see us.

"Like I had promised my father and all of you 2 years ago, I shall protect and lead this pact in any circumstance" I said loudly. Everyone bowed their heads in respect, even the Alphas who didn't dare to challenge me bowed their heads.

I went inside after and went straight to the bathroom to shower. I stayed longer in the shower as the blood of the the other Alphas dripped down my body.

Tonight, I saw an even more fierce side to me. I was not just larger in size. I was also stronger and faster.

I contemplated if it was just because I train hard or maybe because something else inside me has also changed. I didn't know.

I scrubbed myself multiple times to make sure that I got out all the blood and stench of the late Alphas before going out.

I looked in the mirror and at my neck. It had already healed and scarred. Thankfully, it wasn't too deep and might fade within a week or two.

My pact has grown even bigger in size and I didn't even plan on it.

I sighed and just went to a dream less sleep. I'll worry about it some other time.

For now, I need to sleep.
