Chapter 1: Liviana Crest
Liviana's POV
"Livi!" I heard a familiar voice call out. I looked back to see Blake walking towards me with a smile. I waved at him as he approached me and wrapped me in a hug.
"I've missed you so much" he said and squeezed my face. I chuckled and removed his hands on my face before trapping him in a headlock.
We're currently in the hallway where the lockers are.
"I'm sure you did" I teased as he whined at my hold of him. I laughed as he struggled at my grip.
Suddenly, everyone became quiet and I watched as a group made its way through the hallway.
I immediately pulled Blake out of there as I sensed a strong aura from the group in the hallway.
"What's wrong?" he asked me.
"I want to be early for Physics" I told him. He chuckled and put his arm around my shoulder as we walked to my Physics room.
When we arrived, Blake slightly ruffled my hair and gave me a hug before leaving for his own class.
I sat at the far back right beside the window as my thoughts wandered away.
Soon enough, our professor came in and unfortunately for me, he was with two of the guys in the group earlier.
I didn't look in front and instead I looked outside but listened as the professor introduced the guys.
Abe Haymes and Beau Haymes.
Twins.
That's interesting, I guess.
They sat on the other side of class so I didn't have to worry about being close to them.
Their auras were different from those that I've normally encountered. It was strong but not as strong as the other one from one of the other guys earlier.
Class started and I barely listened.
I attended my next class and thank goddess that none of the people earlier was in my class at the time.
I attended 2 classes then it was lunch time.
I immediately saw a familiar face in our familiar table and once she saw me, she squealed in excitement and ran to me in a hug.
"Oh ghad! I missed you so much, Livi" she exclaimed squeezing me tight. I chuckled.
"I missed you too, Katie. How was Summer?" I asked her as we sat down our table.
"It was fun but it could've been a lot more fun with you" she pouted. I smiled.
She talked about how her Summer went since she and her brother Blake spent it overseas at her grandparents.
I on the other hand had nothing fun to talk about.
After lunch, class started again.
I had 3 classes in the afternoon.
After about 2 classes, I was already relieved and sure that no one else from my other classes was from that group earlier.
Boy was I wrong.
Literally at my next class, that other guy with might I say the strongest aura among the 4 of them, was in my class.
Luan Grey.
Did I mention that he sat behind me? Dang it.
Anyway, I tried my best to ignore it. I doubt he'll notice me at all or maybe he will. Hopefully not.
As soon as class ended, I scurried away from the room and bumped on someone's chest.
I held my forehead and looked at who it was only to see Tyler Howl looking down on me with a glare.
I gave him the same look and he just smirked in disbelief before walking away.
Jerk.
I got out school and rode my motorbike after putting on a helmet.
After a while, I reached the secluded road and into the woods as I sped up to reach home.
The guards immediately opened the gates for me and I went in then parked my motorbike.
I removed my helmet and got off before heading to the front door and going in.
Ellie pounced on me and I managed to catch her in my arms.
"Livi!" she squealed in excitement hugging me.
"Welcome home, Alpha. How was your first day?" Theresa asked with a bow. I gave her a small smile.
Yes, you red that right. Alpha. I'm an Alpha.
"It was not the usual, I'll tell you that" I told her. She chuckled.
"I missed you so much, Livi" Ellie said pouting. I smiled and booped her nose.
"I missed you too, little one" I said then someone entered.
"Alpha" Edmond, the pack's Beta came in bowing to me. I gave him an acknowledging nod before putting down Ellie.
"Daddy!" she squealed and hugged Edmond.
"I'll meet you in the office in 15" I told him and he nodded.
I went up to my room and showered before changing into a set of comfortable clothing then heading out to the office with a towel on my head.
Edmond was already there so I sat on my swivel chair and browsed the files on the table.
He started going on about the pack updates and I listened as I went through the files in my hands.
After he finished, I nodded in understanding.
"We have one more matter we need to talk about" he said. I crossed my arms in front of my chest listening.
"Your 18th birthday" he said.
"What about it?" I asked in disinterest.
"Are you not planning on doing anything?" he asked. I shook my head.
"Alpha, you didn't celebrate your birthday last year. Are you not going to celebrate your 18th too? It's a very special day for every werewolf" he told me.
"I don't care, Edmond. I don't want to celebrate a birthday with my father's absence" I said. Edmond's eyes softened.
"Livi..." he said calling me by my nickname.
"No, Edmond" I growled. He sighed and nodded before bowing and going out of the office.
I sighed.
My name is Liviana Crest. I'm 17 years old and turning 18 in a few days. Also, I'm Crescent Moon's Alpha. Yes, Alpha and not Luna.
My father was Dimitri Crest. He was Alpha before he left to do a mission about 2 years ago.
I was 16 when I had to take over his place after he left. A lot of werewolves doubted me and tried to get me to back down.
But ever since I was a child, even before the age of shifting, my father already taught me combat.
To make it short, those who tried to strip me away of the title ended up dead.
After hours of working, I finished up in my office and went to my room to sleep only for my phone to ring.
I answered it when I saw that it was Blake.
"Heyyy"
"Hi" I replied with a yawn.
"Sleepy?"
"Kind of" I said honestly.
"Sorry I couldn't see you at lunch or after class. I had a meeting with the basketball team"
"It's okay. How did it go?" I asked.
"It was fine. There's two new recruits. They're twins. What was their names again? Hmmm oh yeah! Abe and Beau Haymes"
"What?!" I said surprised.
"Yeah. We saw them in the hallway earlier"
I closed my eyes in frustration.
"They're our batch mates. They're actually pretty good. Not as good as me though"
I chuckled but I still wasn't at ease.
"Blake..." I started. I wanted to tell him to be careful around them but I just I couldn't. That would confuse him.
Blake and Katie aren't werewolves. They're humans. I've known them since I was little because their parents used to work for the pack house.
I basically grew up with the both of them.
Blake is the same age as I am while Katie is a year younger than us.
They don't know about the existence of werewolves. They didn't need to know about that.
But in this type of situation, I really wish they knew so I can tell them when and why they should be careful.
"Nevermind" I said.
"Ayo that's evil. I'll be thinking about it all night if you don't tell me"
"I just wanted to tell you to be careful not to ridicule yourself with those cocky remarks" I chuckled.
"Ouch that hurt. Do you not think I'm the best in court?"
"Ehhh you're okay" I teased.
"Pain. So much pain"
I laughed. He sighed.
"Okay, then. I'll go cry in the corner and you go on ahead and sleep"
"Okay. Be sure to bring tissues with you" I joked.
"I will. Goodnight, Livi"
"Goodnight, Blake" I said.
We ended the call.
I put my phone on my bedside and turned off the lights before going to sleep.
Hopefully, those newcomers don't cause any problem.
