CAN'T SAY NO TO THE WEREWOLF

STARTING AFRESH

Olivia had never seen Dave react the way he did that evening. Was it just her imagination or did Dave just go against his own close brother just for her? Was this something he would do just for anyone on a normal day? She felt a smile form on her lips slowly. He might not say it but he was certainly showing it in his actions. He deeply cared for her a lot. What was the big deal in saying it though? She thought. Zach walked out angered and disappointed having the intention of reporting this to Gerald. Dave knew that was going to be the next step he would take but he didn't really care anymore. 

"Thank you" Olivia thanked as he stared back at her. 

"Why?" He asked. 

"I don't know. Just accept the Thank you as you're given" she replied with a smile. Dave smiled back and stroked her hair slowly. 

"We will go through this together"

Gerald seemed a bit anxious seeing his least favorite son walk into his chambers late in the evening. He wasn't sure what the issue could be for him to have chosen to visit so late. 

"What brings you here Zach?" 

Zach's face frowned in disgust. 

"She is pregnant" He started. 

"Becky finally got laid. Great then. Good job" he replied hoping that would end the discussion. 

"No. Not Becky" Zach corrected.

"Who then? I know no other lady that could possibly get pregnant at the time. Your mum can't conceive anymore" 

"Are you sure you know no lady father?" He asked trying to play mind games with him. 

"I am sure no lady wolf will be pregnant by this time. All the wolves are off to battle" 

"Only lady wolves?" 

"Well I…" Gerald stopped for a second and opened his eyes wide in shock. "Don't tell me the Alpha is going to have a child?"

"He is a father. My wife confirmed today" 

"WHAT ABOMINATION?! THIS CAN'T HAPPEN FOR AS LONG AS I AM HERE! THEY BOTH HAVE TO DIE!" 

"I tried convincing Dave into aborting the child but he wouldn't even bulge at all" 

"You fool! Not just the child, but the woman as well" 

"He keeps protecting her father. I don't understand what's going on with him lately but I actually think he has grown an emotional attachment towards her"

"What nonsense! How dare he?!"

"It shocks me as much Dad but that's how we see it. He tends to have strong emotional bond with her now and won't bare to see anyone come close to her or the child" 

"What a disgrace of a son he is! He was once my favorite but not anymore. Since he went against me 5 months ago, things have been rough between us…" He stops as he catches sight as a wolf walks in with a scroll. Zach collected the scroll and offered it to him. Opening it up, he read through the content and cursed under his breath.

"What is it dad?" Zach asked. 

"The clans have accepted Dave's offer of opening a new territory"  he replied unimpressed. 

"Seriously! That should be enough to convince him to kill his wife. We will need to tell him this" 

"No! You won't tell him anything. In fact this contract is useless as you can see it* he said coldly as he tore the scroll into shreds. "Dave has gotten weak and doesn't deserve to be an Alpha. I am denouncing him as my son tomorrow morning in front of the entire clan and banning him from this territory. His sight disgust me these days"

Dave didn't seem ready for the news his dad had offered to announce that morning in front of the entire clan but holding Olivia's hands firmly, he matched toward the meeting ground not ready to let her go any seconds. His family stared at him in anger but he didn't seem to care. The wolves howled together for some minutes before the silence set in.

"I welcome you all to this gathering. It wasn't one I wanted to bring about but something disgusting happened yesterday which we have to make reference to" 

"Did someone murder another?" A wolf asked in the crowd. 

"No. No one murdered anyone. This clan has been really peaceful and okay. I don't think that should actually be a thing of concern now. Whatever news was discovered yesterday though is worse than murder itself" 

Everyone gasped in shock. What could be worse than coldblooded murder? 

"Your Alpha here is going to be a father" the man announced. Some wolves jubilated at this while the rest showed a disgusted expression. "You all know that for 20 years, an Alpha is not supposed to have any child of his because this is more like a way of stealing his brother's birthright. Any Alpha who becomes a father in this clan has committed a crime and needs to pay for it"

"This is ridiculous. You cannot punish him for being a man. He is just a man with feelings and moreover, he accepted the baby. Why are you all bothered?" Olivia asked in confusion. 

"You sneaky…"

"Watch your tongue father! Focus on me but leave her out of this" Dave cut in with a stern look. 

"You will never change Dave. Since you want things the hard way, then you will get them the hard way. From now henceforth, I deny you my son and ban you from this territory. Your dream of having a territory dies in this clan itself" his dad announced harshly. Dave felt really hurt at this statement but tried all he could to keep a straight face. 

'No you cannot do this. He is an amazing Alpha. You can't punish him for something he had no control over. What if it was fate? What if there was no way he could bypass that moment? What if this was meant to be? You cannot just.. "

"Let's go Olivia" Dave had interrupted before dragging her out of the venue. 

*Hold on, won't you even beg your parents or talk to them or even try to do something?" She asked pulling him back. 

"No" He answered stubbornly and continued his trip toward the exit of the clan. 

"Why exactly though?" She asked in confusion. 

"This whole custom nonsense frustrates me. I never even wanted to stay here anymore. Your life is at risk if we keep staying here. We definitely need to go" 

Dave didn't hear her argue anymore. He wasn't proud of how things turned out that morning or how much humiliation they both had to face but this was the only way they could stay safe and think of ways to make things right. Perhaps they could start afresh on their own and make their own family. As they approached the exit, he caught sight of Laura racing toward them huffing. 

"Are you fine?" He asked. 

"Just kidding. I think this decision is the best one for you both. I can't be caught speaking to you two but I really wish to help. My dad lives in a clan outside the woods. It might be a whole night but I promise it's worth it and peaceful. He knows you very well so he will certainly welcome you warmly without any threat" She informed him, swinging her tail as she spoke. 

"Thank you Laura" He thanked with a slight smile. 

"You are welcome"

Olivia wasn't happy about leaving the clan and everyone but she'd found delight in going to new places and experiencing new things. As soon as they both waved bye to Laura, she began wondering how she was going to trek under the hot weather in her condition to this clan they know nothing about. 

"Hop on my back" Dave offered as he stooped low so that she could get on it. 

"Won't you get tired?" She asked with concern. 

"No. Just hop on it" She shrugged and hoped on it. They began their journey in the woods laughing about what had happened and then deviating the topic to Olivia's family. Olivia wasn't really a fan of talking about her personal matters, but due to the amount of trust she had for Dave, she told him everything. Dave was an amazing listener and he'd joke about a lot of things. They connected so well and the discussion seemed to flow without any boredom. With time, it was almost like they had known each other for years. Olivia hoped Dave would get tired and drop her down on the floor later in the day as the sun got hotter but he didn't. Instead she got really tired of the journey and slept off instead.

She woke up to the sound of voices. As soon as she slid her eyes open, she got very astonished realizing she was in a small tent. Were they already in the clan? Where the heck did Dave take her to? Standing up, she yawned and made her way toward the entrance of the tent to look outside, to her amazement she caught sight of Dave sitting with his back facing her, speaking with a middle aged man who also had his back facing her. She thought of joining their discussion but a statement Dave made stopped her immediately and got her really hurt and guilty.

"Rethink this Dave" the old man tried talking him out of this. 

"I have made my decision. I will dedicate all my time to Olivia and my child and avoid any tempting attempts to open my own clan. She is my priority now and I can't bear to let anything happen to her at my watch" He had explained adamantly. 

"Do you think she will like this?"

"I am very sure she won't but I won't let her know this step I have taken because I am very sure she will be worried for me and I don't want that. Let me go and check on her" 

Olivia immediately dashed back into the tent and laid back on the leaves she had laid on earlier pretending to be asleep. Though her eyes were closed, she could sense Dave walk into the tent towards her. She wasn't sure of what he did there but she'd know he walked out a few minutes later. Sure he was gone, she opened her eyes and tried controlling her emotions. Enough was enough! They have walked all over this Alpha too much and taken advantage of his kindness. She couldn't let this happen anymore. She definitely had to do something to help him.

The next morning, she got up very early before the others could and made an attempt to sneak out of the tent but she'd forget her husband was a werewolf and could smell her scent. 

"Where do you think you're going?" He asked as she attempted walking out. She cursed her naivety under her breath and turned back towards him. 

"I am going to turn myself in," She boldly confessed, folding her arms. 

"Excuse me?"

"Look Dave, you are doing so much for me. I really appreciate it but it's enough doing things out of pity. You have dreams Dave. You have a passion. Why don't you go for it? Why do you have to pity me? Why do you need to see me as a responsibility? You have the right to be happy and I want you to be happy. If seeing you happy means turning myself in and getting your territory, then so be it" 

Dave said nothing at this moment. He seemed to be tired of arguing with her. He approached her slowly and dragged her to the center of the room before wrapping his hands around her waist from behind. 

"You are my passion. You are the happiness I seek. If you really want me to be happy, then you have to stay here with me" He whispered in her ears before proceeding to kiss her neck slightly. 

"But you don't love me Dave? How can I be your happiness or passion or whatever?" She asked, still not convinced. 

He turned her toward him and slowly laid her down on the beddings where she slept. She could feel herself get nervous and confused. He leaned closer to her and held his gaze at her for a few minutes. 

"What man in this world won't fall in love with a rare gem like you? I couldn't get it off no matter how much I tried" he told her, caressing her arms. 

"What were you trying to fight?" She asked hoping he would give her the response she wanted to hear. On rare occasions would he ever tell her how he felt. He could always change the topic or sat something else which is far from the truth or matter.  He hadn't said anything. He just held his gaze at her like a moron. 

"O! You forget it" she said in frustration trying to get up but he pinned her down not letting her sit up. This baffled her. 

"I am not done yet" He informed her with a naughty smile. She wasn't sure of how to react anymore. 

"What are you…" 

"I love you so much.* He finally said, making her widen her eyes. She wasn't sure if she was hearing things or he really actually said those words to her. "I really love you so much Princess Olivia. I can't bear seeing any harm come to you. I can't bear seeing anyone hurt you. That's why I had to get us away from there, so that we can start afresh together with our baby as a family. I love your eyes, your sparkle in the light, I love your lips, they are the most beautiful things I have ever seen, I love your skin, they are just so soft that I just can't stop finding an excuse to hold you close. I know you never expected me to say these words to you and to be precise I wouldn't have but I can't watch you leave like this due to my shortcomings. I just can't imagine any kind of life without you. You've taught me what feeling really means and have actually made me realize how soft I can be with a person. Never leave me alone Olivia due to my imperfections. Please" He pleaded as he held down her hands. 

"Yes Alpha, I promise never to leave you no matter what your imperfections are"  she promised with a friendly smile. She could see the delight on his face as she said this. Unable to control himself anymore, he leaned closer to her and kissed her softly on the lips causing her feet to tremble. She could feel a really deep connection which couldn't pull him away no matter how hard she might try. As soon as he let go of her hand, she wrapped her hands around his shoulder and elongated the kiss feeling his hands explore the rest of her body taking her all the way to paradise.

Gregory watched the other men take a drink of the stream as they rested for a while before going on with their journey to the clan. 

"How long did you say we will get there again?" He asked a man who held an old map in his right hand and a rifle on his left. 

"6 more hours, we will be there. I heard the leader's name is Gerald though the Aloha is the one who rules majorly" the man replied with pride. 

"I don't think I can't wait for 6 more hours to butcher those wolves. They have survived enough" 

"I am sure we would have gotten the task done if you had ignored the princess of Yoda and just focused on the mission for the past two months" Another man spoke up as he left the stream.

"She is a beauty who doesn't throw up when I make out with her. She is actually a gem but to be precise I prefer Olivia more. She is a real character. She is a woman want not Helena. Helena isn't my type of woman. She is only one I can seek s*x from" Gregory explained with a smirk. 

"You cannot just use women that way" 

"Mind your business. I do whatever I want" 

"What if Olivia is happy with the Alpha? At least he is human too and can take care of himself and her" Gregory picked up an orange and squashed it with palm ranging. 

"I don't care! No one has her but me. I will blow his head off. Let us go on with this journey. I can't wait anymore"

"But we need to rest " some of the men complained.

"Fools! No resting until I get my love!"
