Becky watched Zach sniff the dry sand as they walked along the forest in search of animals to hunt. She wasn't sure why but he really seemed distant that morning.
"What's wrong? You aren't talking to me" She decided to ask disturbed.
"Why will I have to talk to you? You aren't getting any child" He roared at her in anger.
"You know it's not my fault. I am trying"
"You're trying you say! Though my brother is one who doesn't even look at women, he still got his mate pregnant by chance. I am not even sure what happened that could cause him to melt for a lady but he actually did eventually. We have been together for two years, you haven't even tried"
"Don't say this to me. I really am trying. You know very well that all females aren't the same. Our bodies work differently"
"O! You think? Or perhaps you are barren but aren't willing to tell me that. It would have been so much better marrying a hyena than having you as a mate. At least I will get an Alpha and not that brother of mine" He said going on with his sniffing. He didn't notice Becky stare at him hurt and whimpering. She tried holding back her twice since she was certainly use to all the hurtful words he said to her but for how long was he going to treat her that way. For how long was he going to insult her like this?
"You used to love me so much Zach. Why is this issue of an Alpha getting into your head?"
"Keep quiet woman! You will never understand. I don't feel great that this child is still out there ready to be born. There is still a chance he will take over his cousin's post"
"Now I don't understand the issue anymore. What's wrong though if they give birth to the next Alpha? To be honest, I kinda regret what I did. She is a nice lady and I bet she deserves this more than me. They will both be great parents. I do hear your mum boast all the time on how much Dave hangs out with the pups and how much they love him so much. If he can be a great friend to them all, handling a human will be the best thing he would ever take responsibility of"
"You talk nonsense woman! Just keep quiet" He insulted and went on sniffing as if she meant nothing to him. Becky watched with a sober and guilty stare. If only she'd know her husband was going to be like this, perhaps she would have found a way to support Olivia instead. Everyone was right after all. Dave was very much different from the rest of his family members. He wasn't after power, wealth or authority. He just needed a change. He was a very amazing man with manly qualities all ladies would die for. If she'd known her husband had a brother like this, she would prefer having something to do with him and not Zach, at least, before he finally meets Olivia.
"What are you thinking about woman?!" Zach asked rudely. She jotted out of her thoughts immediately. She looked and realized he had always gotten few yards away from her.
"Nothing" She lied, increasing her pace, trying to catch up with him.

Gerald didn't look happy about the decision he took and his mate had seen it but no decision he made however was ever wrong to him. He knew he was right. He had always been right.
"Dad…" Zach called out walking into the chambers.
"What do you want?"
"You've sent him off. What's the next plan?"
"You fool! You think it's easy for a father to send his son off and feel happy about it. How heartless you are. This is why you aren't a father"
"Dad please! Not this issue again"
"What exactly do you mean by that? Your dad was banned and you feel no empathy towards him"
"I chose to kill the child and let him go, but you chose to let both of them go free. Now you are blaming me? Who will be at loss at the end of this? Me! This is because he will still have to raise the child and the child will come back and…"
"Well if that's the case so be it. Sometimes, the rules have to be bent. If his child turns out to be capable, then we will need to replace that law"
"What? No…"
"It's enough. I don't want to talk about this anymore"
Zach couldn't believe no one actually understood his point of view. He angrily left hoping to get the situation under control soon.

George stood at the edge of the cliff staring with the use of his binoculars at the dense forest which stood erect before him. They had been walking for over 5 hours now. According to the man handling the map, they would have to scurry through the thick dense bushes to reach their target clan but the distance down the cliff was too much and they had no plan jumping off anytime soon.
"There are snakes, poisonous ants, beetles, mosquitoes, spiders inside those woods. We will surely not make it out alive" The map guy said with a shaky tone as he shook his head.
"That sounds really discouraging but we have to move no matter what" George responded being very stubborn.
"It's already getting late. Resting and going on with the journey tomorrow morning won't hurt"
"No one tells me what to do!" He snapped in anger.
"No one is telling you what to do. It's the right thing to do. The journey is just an hour more and the be precise, we haven't planned how we are going to attack them. They are wolves…" The map guy stopped at the sound of rustling from the woods behind them. He promptly reached out for his knife. George who had also heard this unsettling sound signalled them to keep it low and reach out for his riffle slowly. They watched on hoping whatever was in the woods hop out but it didn't occur immediately. When the monster finally jumped out, it turned out to be a regular wild bunny who was chasing after a lizard minding it's own business.
"O! It's just a bunny" The map guy said with a weak laughter feeling stupid. Then the fired shot was heard! George had actually shot the harmless bunny living it's regular life according to nature. The others got confused at this and shook their head at his cruelty. He noticed their reaction and scoffed.
"Idiots! You all use your hearts to much. The bunny will be our dinner for tonight. We have a long journey to continue tomorrow morning. Or perhaps you wish we go on the trip with empty stomach"
The others finally understood and nodded in agreement. Though few others didn't like the idea of the brutal murder of this poor bunny who harmed no one, they all did agree they were starving and needed to sacrifice a little to eat.
"Are you ready to see Princess Olivia tomorrow sire?" The mapman asked as he watched the others carry the bunny toward their set up tent.
"Not just to see her. I am ready to murder some useless beast over there" he said with a cruel laughter. The mapman stared on with a straight look wondering what reaction George expected from George didn't care anyways. He slowly carressed his gun and walked over to join the others.
"Psychopath"

Gerald didn't expect his guards and servants to rush in immediately panting heavily and looking really nervous. At first he was confused on what was going on but he'd knew he had to confirm first.
"What's wrong?' he asked.
"There are some humans in the clam shooting the wolves brutally" One of the guards responded in agony.
"What?! How did they ever find out about this place?" He asked in surprise.
"I don't know but I do think they came after the Alpha's mate. One of them called George kept getting calling out her name and firing every wolf he saw. Be it cubs, male or females"
"I can't just sit and watch this brutality happen. Summon all the warriors. We need to get rid of this human"
"How? They are many and have weapons. Just a fire from their guns can get us killed for good"
The old wolf knew he was right. He thought hard of what to do but wasn't sure how. All this was happening because of that human lady. First she got pregnant and now this nonsense.
"I don't care about their weapons. Send as many warriors as possible and call me the head guard. I have a task for him"
The wolf bowed in agreement and led the rest out. Gerald could feel himself get frustrated and confused. This wasn't what he expected of his reign. This was never what he wished for his clan. Why was this lady own different? Why did she have to come with so much bad luck? Who was she anyways? A princess and so what? Why the heck was his son even attracted to her? What had he seen in such a bad karmar of a woman? All this thoughts hadn't made him feel better at all. It only got him frustrated rather more.
"You send for me* The head guard said walking in.
"Yes. Yes I did. Gather all the ladies and cubs on the clan and take them to safety. Get them as far way from this clan as possible"
"Where do we take them? The other clans aren't in good terms with us"
"Yes. Yes I know. Just…" he stopped for a while not believing he was taking this step. "Just take them to where ever the Alpha is and bring him back with his mate. Only those two can solve this issue"
The guard agreed and walked out to complete this task.
"You are doing the right this aren't you?" He heard his wife speak from behind him. He nodded.
"We have to get him back. He is the Alpha after all and has his own say here"

Laura laid over her cubs deep in her cave shaking with fright trying to protect them. She'd never been through this situation in her entire life. It was almost like the entire town was a bloodbath and the humans were willing. They were really buthering them with no sympathy. She could remember dying howl as she raced out of the wolves cave trying to flee to her cubs. Luckily her cubs were inside feeling confused but her friend hadn't made it she was sure. She'd lost so much blood that she could barely survive.
As she covered up her cubs in silenceez she heard someone walk into her cave. She got really nervous and tried being in her defensive state. As the footsteps got closer, she saw the shadow of a wolf from the bright light of the sun. Relieved she rushed over to him immediately.
"What are you doing here?" She asked.
"Gerald had ordered we send all female wolves and cubs to the Alpha. He ordered the Alpha to be brought back"
"Are you serious? Did he really want his son now at the time of trouble?"
"His orders ma'am"
"Please follow me with your cubs"
"Fine. I will but I know where the Alpha and if you promise to protect my cubs and keep me at the forefront, I will lead you to his hideout"

"You definitely are a hardworking lady Olivia. I am so happy to have you join this clan" Laura father appreciated as she helped him put up a pole. She wasn't aware of the usefulness of the pole but she'd know he really loved to have it put up so she'd help him.
"Anytime. I feel bored not doing anything so I am always delighted to help out with anything even if it deals with climbing trees to get fruits. Just as long as I don't sit at a place the whole day. That's so not what I love* She responded with a smile. "By the way though, do you have any tree you wish me to climb?"
"Unfortunately not. We don't really climb trees over here unless it's important but even if we did, we won't let you do that. You're pregnant"
"Why does being pregnant have to restrict a lady from doing what she wants? Now I can't go ballet dancing or what?"
"It's just a matter of time before your regular life comes back"
"Sure. It surely is" She said with a sarcastic tone. She'd feel happy about her pregnancy, yes but she felt really ideal sitting down the whole day and getting people do basically everything for her. Starting from getting what she had to eat and following her to the river for her bath. She never got to chance to do anything herself. She'd thought of asking Dave for help but he would never allow her climb tree or go skin dipping. "I hate my life*
"Look at the bright side Olivia…" the old man tried cheering her up. "You're having someone who loves you and takes care of your well being. Isn't that what matters more?"
"You're right. I shouldn't be selfish. I have Dave. What else could I ask for?" She caught sight of Dave walking toward them with a dead antelope over his shoulders. Not waiting for him to actually drop down the animal, she rushed over and hugged him really tight with smiles on her cheeks leaving him confused.
"She is such a character" The old man commented with a dry laugh.

Dave was finally able to out down the antelope as soon as she had let go but that didn't happen until after 1 minute of standing and wondering what was going on in the lady's head. What exactly could be going on in all lady's head anyways?
"Why did you hug me like that?" He asked trying to confirm what was happening.
"Do you have a problem with that?" She asked with a smirk. He rolled his eyes and turned back to the antelope. This lady really was something else.
"Dave! Dave!" He heard Laura's voice. They all turned to see where she was and got shocked seeing her come along with so many other wolves looking tired and frightened.
"What the hell is going on?" He asked with surprise.
"It's a Gregory. He has come back with his men to take Olivia" she said all in one breath before taking a deep breath and panting really fast. Dave felt his heart sink on hearing this. He turned to Olivia and felt his head go blank seeing her smiling like an i***t at this news.
"Gregory came back to get me?" She asked with excitement.
"Yes. He actually did. He is threatening everyone's life and killing poor wolves for no reason. He just wants you at all cost but you aren't available so he is lashing out his anger on those in the clan" Laura explained.
"What?" Olivia had exclaimed in shock.
"What sort of monster had you fallen in love with Olivia?" Dave asked in surprise. "There is no way you are going back to such a heartless beast"
"I will go back to him Dave. I have to" Olivia responded.
"No. No. You cannot just go back with him like that "
"I understand but he is killing the wolves which was the least I expected from him and whereas, I am his betrothed anyway. I have to go with him" She tried explaining. Dave clenched his fist in anger. His face went red with rage.
"Seems you are forgetting you have my child"
"Don't worry about the baby. What matters is that we are all safe. Okay?" She tried convincing him.
"You disgust me!" He insulted and walked into the tent to get something. When he was out, he walked back toward the direction of the clan with the other guards while Laura and the rest of the refugees stayed behind watching them leave. He could hardly believe Olivia could turn her back against him like that. He actually thought she loved him. He thought she trusted him so much. What the heck was this now? He could hear her run after them trying to catch up but he didn't look back. He actually didn't care anymore.
"Dave, try to understand. Try and get this from my point of view" she tried explaining but he hadn't paid attention. Once again, he didn't care anymore. He was certainly making sacrifices for the wrong lady all along. This had come back to hit him really hard and now he regretted it so much. All this for finding a deep connection in a female.
"How many men had he come with?" He asked the head guard who walked beside him at the same pace.
"They are about 15 men. The wolves were able to take down some but their rifles are very much stronger than our fangs''
"Only cowards need rifles. Only a coward deserves a coward"
