DOES HE STILL WANT ME?

Gregory sat on a rock impatiently waiting for Olivia to get out of hiding but he seemed to have waited for hours. What sort of war was this? Most of his men were already dead and bullets were beginning to run out. He wouldn't waste it on any more wolves. All he wanted was to s*******r the Alpha who was his lady from him and get Olivia back. But all this seemed to be in his head because Olivia was definitely not available at the moment. "She might have been killed. Let us leave" The mapman suggested as he approached him with his blood stained knife.  "I will slice off your tongue with that knife of yours if you say another word" Gregory threatened furiously.  "I am sorry but it's getting late and…"  "You miss alcohol?" He asked  "You cannot change the topic"  Gregory angrily reached out for his gun and pointed it straight at his forehead with a furious look.  "YOU MISS ALCOHOL?!"  "Yes...yes...yes… I do" the guy answered with a shaky tone feeling scared.  "Good. Have in mind there will be a feast when we get back. Be of your best behavior and mind your business"  The mapman nodded in agreement though he wasn't patient or interested in this mission anymore. He'd wish he would go home, take a shower and just leave a normal day as a normal human being and not hang around the psychopath for a stupid mission.  "By the way whose knife is that you're holding? I thought you didn't wish to harm the animals" He asked in surprise.  "It's a knife I found lying on the floor. I thought perhaps you would want it" "Why will I want a knife covered in blood? You can keep them to yourself incase a wolf tried to attack" "No! I won't harm them" He protested against it, throwing the knife far away from him into a large distance. Unfortunately, he had no idea a wolf was behind them watching carefully and getting ready to attack. Without warning the wolf pounced on him and began to threaten him, gnashing it's teeth at him and holding him into the floor with it's claws. The guy screamed and began pleading for help as the wolf reached for his clothing. George brought out his rifle and shot at it causing the wolf to fall on him dead. The timid guy pushed the wolf off him immediately with his heart ranging very fast.  "Now you see why we kill them…" Gregory explained hoping he understood. The guy said nothing.  They both noticed Dave approach them with the other guards wolves and Olivia who looked in shock at the brutality that occurred in the area. Carcass of wolves and some men were seen around covered in red blood. She felt nauseous and threw up immediately. Gregory rushed to her and gave her a very tight hug ignoring the fact she just threw up.  "I missed you so much dear," he confessed in a smile.  "Gregory leave them all alone, please" she pleaded almost in tears having realized how much damage he'd cause.  "Sure I will, dear. I definitely will…" he promptly brought out his gun. " ...but not after killing the stupid Alpha who stole you in the first place!" He yelled pointing the gun at Dave who turned out to be the only human alongside Olivia among them. "I am very sure I am not wrong. You definitely are the Alpha aren't you?" He asked with a smirk before bursting into an evil laugh. Dave gave him a lingering furious stare.  "I will come with you but don't harm anyone please" Olivia pleaded trying to collect the gun from him. He roughly pushed her unto the ground angrily causing her to hit her forehead on the soil leading to a bruise. She felt the spot where she got hit and was shocked to see blood. Fear gripped her.  "It's enough! You've said enough!" Dave finally spoke, knocking the gun off his hand with force causing it to fly off.  "I can see you want a fist fight. Fine, I am in to beat you to your death" George blurted out with a creepy laugh as he got ready showing off his stunts.  "You had hit my woman! Do you know how offensive that is?!" Dave lashed out and tried grabbing him by the throat but George smartly dodged the grip and gave him a big blow to the cheek causing him to writhe in pain.  "Your woman? So? Are you referring to this slot who throws up anytime a guy tries to get intimate with her? A person who can never be a mother due to her fear of intimacy" he insulted. Olivia was shocked hearing this. She got really furious, picked herself off the ground and stood beside the Alpha booming in range.  "That's all you can say now. As for your information, I am 3 and a half months pregnant with a child and I don't have any fear of intimacy. I was just not compatible with you"  "Excuses! I knew you were a slot"  "KEEP SHUT!" Dave grabbed him by the neck and swung him onto the ground causing him to get really injured. George spat out blood and smiled.  "Is that all you've got you coward? Why don't you come and give me now then?" He asked, rising up and gesturing to him to come over. As Dave did, the sneaky guy slowly took out a knife from his pocket and stabbed him hard with it on the stomach. Olivia screamed in terror and tried helping him but George held her by the neck and rudely pushed her to the ground for the second time causing her to get drowsy and nauseous. She began coughing profusely and struggling to breathe. The head wolves and the others couldn't stand and watch anymore. As they approached to help, Dave stopped them by gesturing them to leave. They felt confused and left him all alone.  "Haha! How do you like stabbing you dufus?" George asked with a maniac laugh pushing the knife in. Dave cried out in pain while Olivia watched in tears as she struggled to pick herself up.  "Please leave him. I beg of you" She pleaded in sobs.  "I don't need you anymore. You have been soiled. You aren't even attractive anymore. The woods have made you one of them" George responded with a nonchalant expression. He took out another knife from his pocket gazing at it with pride. "How do you like to be stabbed the second time Alpha?"  Dave tried knocking off the knife from him but the pain he felt from the stabbing made him very weak and impossible to move.  "O! I forgot. You cannot move because you are deeply wounded. Well fine, why don't I ease the agony by letting you go finally?" He asked, raising the knife up toward his heart. Olivia felt her heart leap at the sight of them. She got really alert and knew she had to do something. Looking around for what to do, she caught sight of George's gun and dragged herself toward its location to pick it up. As soon as she did, she promptly pointed it at him in rage.  "No one harms anyone I care about. Not even my ex" she shouted on top of lungs like a crazy person. Before George realized what was going on, Olivia fired the shot straight an the heart causing him to drop dead instantly. She rushed to George asking him if he was fine and offered to help up but he was in so much pain and couldn't move.  "It was all my fault. I am so sorry" she pleaded in sobs. "I had hurt you so much. It was never my intention to leave you like that. I just thought it was the right thing to do"  "Olivia, now is not the time to cry. I need to get my wound tended to before it gets affected" he said with a stern voice. She cleared her tears, nodding. Despite him bringing in so much pain, he just couldn't stop being the Dave he had always been. He would change would he? Dave watched his mum, dad, Zach, Becky and some human servants approach them to pick him up. His dad looked really pained and sorry for what he'd actually done.  "I am sorry" he apologized as he was picked off the ground. "I underestimated you. I… I should have let you run things your way"  "Dad please…" "He is right" Zach had cut in. "I saw the fight and couldn't understand how much bond you had with the human lady. Despite her vulnerable state, she did all she could to help you out. I would have never done that for Becky. Both of you are such a compatible match"  "Thanks. Can I get treated now? I am losing so much blood" he complained feeling restless. They agreed and led him into the cave.  *** For two days Dave had requested to be left alone. He'd refused to see anyone, especially Olivia, who understood why he did that.  "He will never love me anymore. I am such a failure" She cried to herself as she sat in front of the river feeling overwhelmed by self pity.  "Can I join you?" Becky asked, standing behind her.  "Everyone has offended one another one way or the other. Who am I to say no or hold any grudge?" She said with a sober tone.  "I am sorry for leaking out your secret. I was just jealous I couldn't have a child and I was scared of losing my husband due to this. I thought telling him was going to give me more time to figure out how to get a solution to this problem of mine"  "I'd be lying if I said I understand but it's fine. At least you still have him. I don't know if Dave will forgive me ever. I hurt him so much and broke his trust. He would have handled the situation better if I had stood by him" "You stood by him Olivia. I saw what you did there. Nobody would want their child for another. You ignored the fact you were carrying a child and tried defending him. That was a very selfless act. Dave will love you more for this" "It's easier said than done. You feel he will love me more, I do feel he will never view me the same way ever" "This is all in your head. He is in pain. He wishes to be alone. Give him time, everything will be fine"  "How about you and Zach? Will you both work things out?" She asked.  "We always do. I am happy with him" She feigned a smile. "He loves me a lot. He is just not in the right state of mind at this moment"  "Seems we are both facing situations with our spouses now" Olivia said smiling.  "It's normal in every relationship" Olivia nodded in agreement and smiled drawing her close for a hug. She snuggled her playfully and kissed her. "You're one great mate. Alpha is lucky to have you"  *** A month went by and she barely heard from Dave. She'd watch him in a distance eating or planning out whatever he loves planning but he never sent for her. Her heart cried. She couldn't handle the distant relationship anymore. She'd wish he'd give her another chance to repent from her mistake. His silence was troubling her so much. She couldn't handle it anymore.  "Could you drop this in your cave?" His mum asked as she caught sight of her standing under a peach tree lost in her thoughts.  "The cave? I haven't really been to the cave in over a month," she replied with surprise.  "I know. You have been staying with me. I can't bear seeing the distance between you both anymore. I might have been a selfish mother but I care so much for my son's happiness. Go and drop this for him"  Olivia nervously accepted. She turned toward the cave direction, took a deep breath and began to walk toward it. Her heart was beating very hard. Would he talk to her? Would he oust her out? Would he ignore her? Would he insult her? How could she handle the criticism he would give? She thought. She felt her legs get heavier as she approached the cave. She didn't want to do it anymore. She wanted to turn back and leave but she knew she had to do it. She walked in slowly and discovered it was empty. Dave wasn't around. He might have gone hunting. She slowly kept the scroll on a stone right in front of the fire wood for fire and sighed. Memories of the moments spent in the cave flashed her mind as she felt reluctant to walk out again. This was where she'd get to know Dave better. This was where they stared into each other's eyes intensely for the first time ever. This was where she discovered he was gonna be a father. How could things just change overnight like this? She felt arms wrap around her stomach and someone breathe against her neck. She felt shivers go down her spin. It was him. He had walked in when she was unaware.  "Where have you been? I haven't seen you in a month" He asked as he kissed her neck slowly. She got really confused now.  "I thought…"  "I missed you alot and the baby too" he continued before turning her towards him. "Tell me why you abandoned me"  "What? I actually thought you didn't want to see me. You never checked on me or invited me into the cave"  "I was really busy with the territory. My dad had agreed to let me start a new one. Families are volunteering to move there with me. There won't be stupid unimportant rules anymore and as for the custom seeking power and territory against the clan, it has been stopped as well. Dad needed help in writing apology letters and organizing a meeting with the leaders so that the whole clans could bond again in unity. I needed you by my side the whole while. I wanted to see you and feel you but you were nowhere to be seen. I thought telling you to stay away to avoid seeing me in pain was going to help you feel better for a while but after I recovered, you never came. Why?" Olivia felt really stupid hearing this. She began laughing hysterically to herself.  "It was all due to assumptions. I assumed you hated me and I held on to that. I didn't realize you missed me so much" She said in smiles.  "You and your assumptions. I hope you assume one day that we build a castle together" he joked with a laugh. She nodded in agreement.  "Sure but for that I have to stop being negative about every situation"  "You definitely should work on that. Do not transfer the bad energy to the baby" He pleaded, feeling her tummy as if hoping to feel the child. She nodded like a child.  "Sure sir. I promise" He hadn't stopped gazing into her eyes the entire time. She felt him draw her toward him, ensuring their bodies touched against each other. He brought his lips closer to hers and they both had a very intense lingering kiss. One she would always remember all her life. She felt his hand grip her tighter as they kissed deeper than usual. A kind of grip that could possibly mean we weren't ready to let her go ever. No matter the situation. A kind of protective and possessive grip. The kind of grip she loved and the kind that made her trust him even more. He might be difficult to understand or really harsh in person, he still had the heart of a child and could feel emotions more deeply than she could.  "We should go and visit your family soon" He said once he'd let her go.  "Sure. I am dying to see my mum and sister but first I really think we should go with a special gift"  "What gift is that?"  "The baby." She responded with a proud smile. "The lady isn't here yet but ones we have her, we will present her to my mum. My mum might be upset with me but she will surely feel overwhelmed seeing the child"  "Fine. Whatever you say*
