Chapter 8: The Wedding

Selene's P.O.V.
This is it.
The forsaken day has arrived.
I could feel it, I could feel my heartbeat thumping fast. My heart is trying to jump out of me.
Last night, as I was lying down on the comfy bed, I did some thinking and just realized how serious the situation is.
I woke up at exactly eight o' clock in the morning. I still have three hours till we have to prepare for the wedding.
I didn't see my mother and brother so I'm guessing that they are already downstairs eating there and I decided to follow.
I searched for the two of them and found them eating at the table near the glass window.
I walked towards them and said good morning to my mom and River.
"Good morning, sweetie. Did you have a good night's sleep?"
"Sure, I guess" I answered, still quite sleepy.
"Hey sis, ready for your big day?" River asked me with a smile.
"As I'll ever be." I replied and called the waiter ordering some egg and toast.
"Look honey, you can still back out, this is your last chance. I will support your decision, whatever it may be."
"No mom, it's okay, we have a debt to pay and if it means marrying their daughter, then I will."
After our long discussion, I excused myself and told my mother that I'll just walk around for a bit outside the hotel.
She said ok but reminded me that I should be back by eleven.
I went to the beautiful garden of the hotel. I have a crazy obsession with flowers
I really love looking at them, their beauty gives me a sense of peace and I for sure needed that today.

Celeste's P.O.V.
Ugh. My head ached so much from a horrendous hangover.
Without my mother's knowledge I snuck out and had my own bachelorette party last night.
I invited Cloud to join me but he refused to see a woman's ass so I decided to have fun on my own.
After getting wasted, I picked up some women and enjoyed them to the fullest.
Last night was my last day of freedom, don't judge me.
After showering and removing the stenches of last night, I went down and had my breakfast.
I haven't seen my mom but I am sure that she is already busy with the final arrangements of the wedding.
After my breakfast, I decided to sleep some more to try and alleviate my handover.
Selene's P.O.V.
After my walk, it was already quarter to eleven so I decided to return to the suite.
When I entered the room, there were a lot of people inside.
I'm assuming that they are here to get me ready
Mrs. Rose checked up on us and we reassure her that everything is going great. Then, she left to go get ready herself.
After my hair and make-up was done, it was finally time to get in my wedding dress.
When everything was set, everyone proceeded to go to the garden pavilion for the wedding. After a thirty-minute drive, we have arrived at the pavilion.
As the "bride", I was asked to stay in the limo with my mom and brother who will escort me through the aisle.
I was having a little panic attack, well not really "little" I was hyperventilating.
I was so nervous. I feel like I would pass out any moment.
Thankfully, my family was there to console me. I felt at ease, knowing that they were here with me.
As we went out of the limo, I put on a brave face and started to walk to the next chapter of my life.
Celest's P.O.V.
It was finally time for the wedding to begin.
I walked down the aisle, approaching the marriage officiant that will join our union.
For the first time in forever, I actually felt nervous.
Standing beside the wedding arch, was my best man or should I say "best gay", Cloud, he had this mocking smile plastered on his face.
I was standing there waiting for the march to end, when a beautiful fairy in white stood in my view.
She looked absolutely divine and I couldn't wait to take it off later.
When she finally arrived beside me, I took her hand and kissed her on the cheek.
The wedding officiant started " Welcome family and friends, as we unite Celest Knight and Selene Summers in one of life's greatest moments, the joining of two hearts, for what greater gift is there for two separate souls join together as one................................. (fast forward)
The wedding officiant continued " Celest and Selene, May you please hold hands and state your vows."
We stated our vows, making sure to convince everyone that we were madly in love with each other.
(fast forward)
Officiator: "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you wife and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
Selene's P.O.V.
As the judge said those last words, I just knew that I was going to pass out from the rapid beating of my heart.
When suddenly, I felt something soft and delicious against my lips.
Celest started kissing me and it felt too good for my liking.
After moving away from me, I was just staring at her dumbfounded with my mouth open.
F*ck, I'm screwed.
I already felt like I was falling for her. At that moment, I felt a sense of belonging, like I was meant to be with her.
When I felt her lips on mine, I felt literal sparks all over my body.
It was like, I was being electrocuted,
but in a good way,
if that even makes any sense.
Hopefully, I could still stop this feeling. I didn't want to fall in love with an arrogant, conceited, cold-hearted woman.
But, could I?
