Selene's P.O.V.
After we arrived in Paris, it was already seven o' clock in the evening.
We went straight to the hotel that we will be staying in. I will be staying with my mother and my brother in a two-bedroom suite.
All the other guests will also be staying in this hotel.
We got down to eat our dinner then returned right back to our room to rest. According to Mrs. Rose, I will be having a busy day tomorrow.
~~~~~~Next day~~~~~~
Celest and I were asked by Mrs. Rose to go down and meet her at the lobby by nine a.m. sharp. Our schedule today was really packed.
The other guests stayed in their room to rest or went to go explore the city, lucky them.
I said goodbye to my mother and River then headed for the elevator. After I pushed the down button, the elevator immediately opened and there was the person I dreaded to see.
"Hey Shortcake, you are such a slowpoke. My mother asked me to fetch you because we are running late for our venue appointment." Celest implied.
"Oh okay, let's go and once again, please stop calling me shortcake." I replied.
"Whatever... Shortcake" She said obviously teasing me.
After that, the elevator door opened and we walked to the lobby but we found no one waiting for us.
Celest decided that we should just go straight to the limo outside.
Once we got out, we saw the others waiting for us.
"Come on you two, hurry up and get in the car." Mrs. Rose said.
The two of us just entered the car and kept silent the whole ride.
Mrs. Rose said that we should test the desserts that will be served at the wedding.
She said that she will be generous and give that decision to us, considering that she almost decided on everything.
When we arrived at the posh bakery, my mouth watered. The desserts displayed on the display window were really pretty and looked so scrumptious.
My sweet tooth reacted immediately and my mouth watered.
After we entered the sweet haven, I took a long deep breath, the sweet smell of sugar invaded my nose and made me so excited.
"Mom what are we doing here in this forsaken place? You now I detest the owner/ pâtissier of this place!" Celeste said, obviously irritated.
"Celest, honey, do not be rude. I don't understand why you dislike your cousin so much. You used to be so close." Mrs. Rose replied.
"I just do, so please mom can we go to another?" She answered begging.
"No Celest, you know damn well that she is the best pâtissier here in France. And you two can only have the best. Also, we should be thankful, she was kind enough to squeeze us in with their tight schedule and make the pastries in such short notice." Mrs. Rose explained.
Suddenly a beautiful French woman approached us. Based on her outfit, I am guessing that she was the pâtissier.
"Selene, I would like to introduce my niece, Madeleine Bouchard, she owns this bakery and many others and is also a world-renowned pâtissier "
"Oh no! Auntie, please let me introduce myself to the pretty little lady." She said before taking my hand then kissed it.
I blushed then introduced myself.
"Nice to meet you. I am Selene Summers. Sorry for the late notice, surely you must be feeling quite rushed with our sudden requests."
"No worries cutie, I haven't baked anything much yet, you have to make your selections first. So, let's go to the tasting area, shall we? She asked kindly.
As we followed her, I can't help but notice Celest's cold attitude towards her. However, I paid her no mind because she was cold to anybody anyway.
When we arrived at the tasting area, I was sure that I was in heaven, I immediately browsed through the selection of sweets.
"Can we get to tasting now?" I said excitedly like a child.
"Easy there, Shortcake, those pastries won't run." Celest interjected looking amused at how I behaved.
I paid her comment no mind and started focusing on the sweet treats in front of me.
Celest's P.O.V. (short only)
"Adorable, isn't she?" Mom said while looking at the immature woman in front of us.
"More like a brat if you ask me."
Well, that was I said out loud but that wasn't what I truly felt.
Back to Selene's P.O.V.
It was not easy selecting the pastries because I wanted to pick them all.
After some heartbreaking decisions, we were finally done.
Mrs. Rose and I said our gratitude to Madeleine.
Before we left, Madeleine and I exchanged phone numbers. She was a really friendly woman and was very easy to talk to, unlike her cousin.
We went to our next stop, the bridal boutique.
Mrs. Rose informed us that this would not take long because the dresses were already made and we'll just check if there were alterations to be made.
When we arrived at the boutique, my mom was already waiting inside drinking champagne.
At this point, I will be fitting my wedding dress with my mom and Celest will be with hers. We will be in separate areas for us to avoid seeing each other.
Mrs. Rose has a traditional belief that the "groom" shouldn't see the "bride" with her wedding dress on, before the wedding.
When the lady appeared with my dress, I was speechless, it was a simple yet very pretty and delicately made dress.
After I finished fitting the dress, we discovered that the dress fitted perfectly and no adjustments had to be made.
Last destination was the wedding venue. From the looks of it, we were going to have a garden wedding.
My brother was already there mingling with the few people that were also there.
I was awestruck by the beautiful surroundings. The majestic arrangement of the flowers was just so perfect. The benches and the dome were already set in place.
When the wedding coordinator, April, taught us our formations and what we are supposed to do, we followed her instructions accordingly.
"Everyone to your places so that we can start the wedding rehearsals now."
Well as the "bride", I was at the back of the line. While, Celest being the supposed "groom", was already at the dome standing.
The march started, when it was my turn to walk down the aisle, I was a little nervous because everyone's eyes were on me.
If I'm going to be nervous here, I might get a panic attack when it's the actual wedding.
When I reached Celest, there was this awkward silence between us we didn't know what we're going to do there.
We were just standing in front of them, April approached us and told us that we should've had our own vows already.
Our own vows? Is she out of her mind? My fiancé and I barely knew each other. What were we supposed to say?
April left us to go fix other things, leaving me here with the she-devil.
"Look here, Shortcake. Be sure to make your vows as genuine as possible. We should put on the best "show" for our guest. They should think that we really are a happy couple, so don't f*ck this up, okay?"
"Whatever, your majesty." I said as I rolled my eyes.
As April added her final touches, Celest and I just stood there waiting.
As the time went by, everyone cooperated so we finished our rehearsals earlier than expected. So, then we proceeded to the rehearsal dinner.
After everything was done, we all decided to return to the hotel.
When my family and I got back to the room, I went straight to the bed and dove down the duvet feeling very exhausted.
I was stricken with the sudden realization that I was going to get married tomorrow.
Everything became all too real.
Oh Sh*t.
I thought before drifting off to sleep.
