Chapter 9: The Wedding Reception

Selene's P.O.V.
The wedding lasted for two hours and after that, everybody will be going to a different hotel for the reception, it was a one-hour drive from the pavilion.
For the whole duration of the ride, I was thinking about the KISS.
The kiss was simple and brief but it was still stuck in my mind and the feeling of her lips was imprinted on my lips.
It was unexplainable and all so foreign to me, I didn't think that with one simple kiss you can fall in love with a person.
At this moment, I was alone with Celest in the limo. Rose insisted that we should ride together alone and bond as a married couple.
Thankfully, Celest was sitting far away from me because I don't think that I can handle being near her right now.
The whole car ride was insanely awkward, there was deafening silence.
We arrived at the venue with no heavy traffic.
The wedding planner told us to stay in the limo, while she guides the other guests to settle down in the hotel.
When she left, Celest started talking;
"Shortcake, don't get any wrong ideas, ok? Even though I might act sweet sometimes, don't assume that I like you. Please try and not fall in love with my irresistible charms."
Ouch! She should've told me sooner because it's too late now. I thought to myself.
"P-Please! I'll never fall in love with someone like you." I said trying to act appalled
Lies! Lies! Lies! Yelled my mind.
"Whatever, Shortcake. By the way, the kiss at the wedding, was that you're first?" She asked, smirking.
I blushed furiously.
Was it really that obvious?
"No! Of course not! I'm a twenty-three-year-old woman, I've had some experience." I replied aggressively, trying my best to lie.
"Right... I was waiting for you to respond, you know? It was supposed to be a hot, passionate kiss with tongue and all. But you never responded and just stood there like a statue. So, I don't think that I could believe you." She said while laughing.
"Fine, it was my first. ok? Are you happy now? I said while glaring at her.
When she finally stopped laughing, she continued,
"Don't worry. You don't have to be embarrassed. I'll teach you everything there is to know." She winked at me.
I blushed and just looked away from her.
Feeling really embarrassed, I remained silent.
Thankfully, it was time for us to join the others.
When we entered the reception hall, the host spoke up,
"Everybody, please welcome, Mrs. Celest and Selene Knight! Please give them a warm round of applause!"
Everybody applauded.
I looked around and I must say, the venue was so beautiful.
Celest's mom really did keep her promise, she only wanted us to have the best,
and perfection we got.
Understandable, considering that her only daughter is going to be married once.
After Celest and I took our seats in front of everyone, the program started.
"Ok everyone, after those heartwarming speeches from your relatives, we are now moving on to the dinner." The host announced.
The waiters started serving the appetizers.
Finally, I get to eat.
I was definitely starving. I can't wait to fill up my tummy.
I was about to devour the plate of food in front of me but Celest suddenly spoke,
"This wedding reception is boring, I'd rather be in a bar, drinking and grinding against pretty women."
"You know Celest, you should just suck it up. This is YOUR wedding reception and we can't have the other bride missing now, can we?"
I snapped at her, feeling hurt that she would rather be with other women than me.
"By the way Shortcake, are you ready for our honeymoon later?" She asked while smirking.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" I said trying to act clueless.
"I'm talking about our sexy time later. And guessing that the kiss at the wedding was your first, you also don't have any experience in that area, right?" She said teasingly.
"Well, Duh." I said in a matter of fact.
"Looks like I'll be having some fresh meat tonight." She winked then laughed out loud.
I simply glared at her, hoping that she would stop teasing me.
After Celest laughed her heart out, it was time for the main course.
When we finished our dinner, my tummy was pretty full.
I especially liked the desserts that Madeleine prepared, they were absolutely scrumptious. After each bite, I felt like I was floating in heaven.
The festivities continued with various programs.
While I was focusing on the program, I suddenly felt hands creeping on my dress. Before I know it, Celest's hand were on my thighs. How did she even do that, considering that I was wearing a gown?
When her hands reached the uppermost part of my thigh, a certain part of my body was reacting with the way she caressed me.
She knew she was affecting me because she kept smirking but still kept her eyes on the events happening around us. I also tried to keep a poker face to avoid being discovered.
"Hmm. Shortcake, I think you are ready for later. Judging from the heat that I've felt down there, you are excited but that will have to wait." She said while finally removing her hands from underneath my dress.
I tried to fan my face to remove my embarrassment.
When the reception ended, we stayed for a while and gave our gratitude to the guests who came and participated in the wedding.
When the venue was almost empty, Marshall and Rose together with my mom and River approached us.
"The two of you won't be returning with us to our previous hotel, you will stay here. I've already booked the Presidential Suite for a week, for your honeymoon.
We and the other guests will be going back to our hotel and return to America tomorrow, okay?" Rose informed us.
"Really, mom? A week? Is it necessary to be that long?" Celest asked.
"Yes, honey. No complaints. It will give you two, time to bond. Take Selene wherever she wants to go, make sure to show her around your favorite places. Make sure that you don't lose her anywhere though. Take care of her, is that clear, young lady?"
"Ok, mom" Celest said while rolling her eyes at her mom's nagging.
As Rose finally finished saying her goodbyes, she gave both of us a kiss then left.
I've also said goodbye to mom and River. My mom asked me to take care and be careful when they left.
After they left. my heart started pounding once again,
I'll be alone with Celest...
