Ezio:
I raised an eyebrow as Alessio’s eyes met mine, knowing that the night was going to be longer as it went on.
The idea of us finding her right now was not something that I put into account but I knew that her carrying my baby wasn’t going to be a good option for me.
“She is going to be taken home. The men are taking her right now.” I said, and he nodded, not saying a word for a few moments.
“How the hell did she get herself in this mess? She was never the type to leave the pack without permission. Adult or not, she knew that there were rules for her to follow, and now…”
“Now is not the time to be discussing this, Alessio.” I said, stopping him. “We have other matters to deal with, and your daughter opening her legs is the last thing that we are going to want to talk about.”
The omega’s eyes hardened, and I rolled my eyes as I turned my attention to Sergio who was just arriving. As always, the man had to be the last one to enter the restaurant or any given gathering.
“You are late,” I said, raising an eyebrow at the man. He extended a hand to me, and I nodded, shaking his hand before he turned to Alessio. Whether or not the man was an omega, he was a trusted advisor when it came to such situations, and that was something that Sergio knew him for, my advisor.
“I take it that you are in a good enough mood to be willing to speak to me nowadays. The last time I saw you, you were far too busy and if I am not mistaken, you were more than willing to end up breaking my face for even…”
“I was angry and the stress that I was in was draining.” I said, choosing my words carefully. I wanted nothing more than to break the man’s face, but I was going to leave this up to the men. He was going to enjoy his last meal before I set my grounds in front of him. He was going to know, along with anyone who thought of supporting him, what it was to be messing with a man like me.
“I could tell. I wouldn’t be standing here in front of you if I didn’t know.” He said, taking a seat in front of my chair. I kept my eyes on him, smirking at the man as Alessio and I took our seats. I doubted that he was going to know how to deal with what I was going to be sure that he dealt with, but then again, he proved to be stupid when he stabbed me in the back.
“I called for you because we are going to need to discuss the new plans that we have for our new year. You know, with things coming to an end and new beginnings, it is often best to have our solid ground.” I said, and Alessio looked at me. I gave him a quick nod, watching as he turned his laptop on.
The man was going to show him the proof that we had in hand, and the first thing that we were going to do right now was getting rid of the fucker.
“I have to admit, I didn’t expect to be the first person to see your plans.” Sergio said, growing more interested. I knew that this was a boast to his f****d up ego. It was something that not even his father allowed him to do. And it was for known reasons, I would have had him long killed if he was my son.
“You have earned it for you to be the first to know.” I said, looking into the man’s raven eyes. It was a shame to lose a man like him. Their breed was a rare one, and they were strong. It was only a shame that he was a failure the way that he was, and a traitor too.
“I knew that hard work paid off. You would see to that I am paid for it the way that I deserve.” He said, and I smirked. I looked at Alessio and he nodded, handing me the laptop.
“Of course, everyone gets what they deserve as payment.” I said, turning the laptop to face him. His eyes widened as he took sight of a man, an enemy handing an envelope of money to him. Three bags were given to him, and though I didn’t know the content of them, I knew that associating him with others was treason. We had our deals, and that was something that he chose to break. It was something that he was going to pay for.
“Boss…”
“You know the cost of your lies more than you know your damn name,” I said, raising a hand to stop him. His eyes were fixed on me for a moment, and I shook my head in question. “You lied to me, looked me in the eye and told me that you weren’t working with others. Needless to say, you claimed to be on my side…”
“I am still on your side, boss. That is not something that is going to change, but you know the growth. You know how we can’t keep standing on one line.” He said, shaking his head at me, wanting to stop me from completing my sentence. I raised an eyebrow at the man as a low chuckle escaped me before I could stop myself.
“Do you know what it is to betray me?” I asked, crossing my arms over my chest. His eyes widened in surprise. By now, the restaurant was completely empty. I nodded at my men who were standing a few inches behind him, blending with the shadow, to grab him.
“Boss, please…”
“You know what to do.” I said, looking at Ian. “And I want it to be slow. You know, one has to teach those who want to think of defying him a lesson. And I think that Sergio’s head would be setting the proper example…”
