Chapter Five: Double Couple Trouble.

“Miss Kara Alvarez! Is my class so boring that it makes you so sleepy?"
Kara instantly woke up when they heard their Professor's loud voice. She didn't realize that she fell asleep in the middle of the class! And it's so embarassing!
She came home late because she had to finish shooting a Cosmetic Commercial. The shoot finished at 4 in the morning, and she needs to go to school at 7 am for her first class...
She wanted to disappear right there and then when she noticed that everyone's looking at her.
“There’s no excuse for what I did. And I am really sorry, Sir.” she apologized.

At the same time...
Kenzo wanted to reach out for Kara but he stopped himself. He can clearly see that Kara's so tired, and he can feel her sincerity when she apologized to their Professor.
Kenzo decided to stand up and say what's on his mind.
"With all due respect Sir, you shouldn't have reprimanded Kara as if you're talking to a child. You can just talk to her in your office after the class. You're delaying the class as well.
The old man's whole face became red after he heard Kenzo's statement.
"What the hell are you doing,Kenzo?! You're just making the situation worst!" Kara thought to herself, while panicking. She's worried about Kenzo because she knows the Professor might give him demerit points.
And she was damn right
"I didn't know you have a knight and shining armor in my class, Miss Kara Alvarez!" the Professor announced.
"I-I just said what's on my mind, Sir." Kenzo started stammering.
"Very well. You just gave me an idea because of what you did, Mr. Kenzo Andrada..." the Professor smilingly stated. He walked towards the center of the room, and he looked at everyone. ang nakangising tugon ni Mr.Dimacurut.
"I was thinking about your Final Project for the last semester. I'm going to give you a group project, and you need to group yourselves into two.
Each pair should build a small business with an average capital. You'll run your business, for two months, and make a profit. Your final revenue will the basis of your final grades. And it will be your final challenge before you can graduate from Waldorf University... I'm expecting good results from all of you. Is that clear?" the old Professor asked, in a serious and firm tone.
"Yes, Sir." everyone responded, but every students looks so worried.
"---The first pairing on my list is none other than Mr.Kenzo Andrada and Miss Kara Alvarez. Congratulations, guys." the old Professor officially announced.
Kara helplessly sighed. Now, the Professor's obviously lashing at her and Kenzo. She quickly ripped a piece of paper from her notebook, wrote something, and he discreetly passes the note to Kenzo.
Kenzo curiously opened the letter from Kara.
"We'll have a serious talk later." he read the letter.
Kenzo gulped nervously. He knows that Kara's obviously mad, and he doesn't know what to do...

After an hour.
Kenzo and Kara met at their usual hideout, which is the school's rooftop. They are currently talking about what happened at their Economics Class...
Kara requested the cameraman to give them privacy, and they quickly obliged.
"Kenzo, I appreciate what you did for me awhile ago, but I could've handled it myself. You didn't have to stand up for me." Kara started.
"But that old man's out to get you, Kara! Why don't you say something for yourself? The professor embarassed you infront of many people and at the cameras! What happened today might damage your career and reputation!" Kenzo tries to reason out.
"I've been through a lot on my showbiz career. I've been into worst situations. What happened awhile ago, isn't really a big deal for me... Now, let's talk about our real problem. We need to exert all of our efforts for our final project so that we can graduate without a hitch. We need to show everyone, especially our Professor that can prove ourselves to him. We need to face his challenge!" Kara firmly announced, looking determined.
"So...Do you have any plan?" Kenzo inquired at Kara
"First, give me your address." Kara said, while staring at him.
"What do you need it for?" Kenzocuriously asked.
"We need a place where we can brainstorm for our project." Kara said, in a matter-of-factly tone.
"But can't we go somewhere else?" Kenzo anxiously asked her.
"Look, I can't have a man in my house! The paparazzis might see us! And besides, I don't want to go to any public places. I can't focus with so many people staring at me, so your house is the perfect place." Kara explained further.
Kenzo finally gave in, and he gave the address to his apartment.
"I'll drop by your house by midnight. See you later!" Kara reminded him, and afterwards, she started walking away...
Kara was already gone but Kenzo's staring in the air. Everything went so fast, and he doesn't have time to think properly...
Kenzo grabs his handkerchief from his pocket and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. Next, he wiped his sweaty hands as well...
Whenever he's near Kara, he feels totally different. He's having a hard time breathing, and his heart is beating so fast as if he just ran in a marathon... He also couldn't take his eyes of her. And he's been thinking about her recently, more than his books...
He suddenly remembered a certain article that he read on the internet few days ago... He read something about "Symptoms of having a Crush..."
The article discussed about a research wherein if the object of your affection's standing nearby, many different chemicals are being released in our brain, and that includes dopamine, oxytocin and cortisol.
When dopamine is released, you can feel a jolt of happiness in your system. One of the symptoms is the feeling of limerence; having uncontrollable thoughts, extreme nervousness and shortness of breath.
And bingo.
Kenzo's eyes widened in shock when he finally realized something...
"Oh, good heavens... I'm crushing on Kara Alvarez!" he whispered to himself...
