** Adrianne POV ** Knock, knock... I knock the principle door before slowly walking inside. "Ms. Collins, it's wonderful to finally meet you!" The principle enthusiastically greeted me and shook my hand. I just nodded my head politely before I took a seat in front of her. "My name is Mrs. Green. I hope that you'll enjoy this school. Here is your locker key, schedule and map of the school." She continued and she gave me everything, which I took gratefully I smiled at her. Two days ago, when my parent rang the school, I didn't know that they planned to send me to a public school. They couldn't make another embarrassing phone call to another private school, so they decided to send me to a public school. They thought that it would be the best option for me; at least I would get an education. Even though they never thought that their daughter would be attending one of these schools. When I heard the news, I tried my best to not burst into tears of joy, so I just put on my poker face. If they knew that I wanted to go there, they would be disgusted. They thought that it would be a punishment for me but I thought of it as my escape from the prison. I could make friends that didn't care about my status or money. I was also overjoyed when my father told me this: 1. You can't tell people that you are the daughter of Taylor and Allan Collins, I wouldn't be able to show my face to the press if they found out. 2. Your bodyguard will be left outside the school, so behave when you're in there. 3. You can't go anywhere apart from school and I have already informed your driver of this. 4. If I discover that your grades are still dropping, I will send you to a boarding school in London. As I left the principal’s office, I quickly noticed that there were many people glancing at me strangely. I was the new girl who was joining at such a strange time of the year. I sighed, ignoring their gaze before looking at the map in an attempt to find my locker. At the time I didn't know whether or not this was freedom or more isolation. I knew that I was late to my class because I needed to meet the principle, but luckily my English teacher understood. He also didn't make me introduce myself in front of the class, thankfully. "Um... Can I sit here, Mr. Ted?" I said as I sat at the back of the class. As I looked around me, I saw that people looked at me pitifully. When I glanced next to me, I saw an emo girl that had piercings in her nose, mouth and ears. She must have been that weird girl that everybody avoided, she didn't pay any attention to me and continued to draw in her notebook. Thankfully, my first class ended without a scene, even though I had a feeling that people were talking about me behind my back. -------------------------------------- Riiiinnnggg... "Shoot!" I cursed before I threw my books in my locker and I then ran to my physics class. I shouldn't have put my books in my locker because it was in a different building. I was lazy, so I thought that I would drop my books of instead of carrying them. So I began running to my next class because I couldn't just carry my books with me. Stupid me... I looked down at my map and noticed a short cut that led behind the gym. So I turned around and used the shortcut. "Ugh..." I heard somebody grunt from behind a tree. Curiously, I looked around the tree and decided to find out what was going on. I noticed that the left side of his white shirt was covered in blood. I'd never seen so much blood before, and it was horrible! The man heard me and quickly turned around, looking tense. He clenched his hand into a fist and gazed at me with a dangerous look. "Uh... Um... Hi..." I stuttered as I took one step back from him. I realized that he had a massive amount of muscles, the type I'd only seen in magazines, sighed as he leaned on the tree, ignoring me. 'Should I leave him?' I wondered. I kept on asking myself these questions and my mind kept on screaming 'LEAVE HIM!' But I couldn't just leave him in his bloodied state. Crap... I quickly took my handkerchief from my bag and slowly approached him He looked confused, I could feel his eyes on me as I treated his wounds, to the best of my ability. "Um," I uttered, "You should go to a doctor." He didn't say anything, so I grabbed my bag as I ran to my next lesson. Oh, God, what was I doing? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** Gavin  POV  ** "You okay?" My friend Leo asked when I arrived at the garage. I nodded as I walked passed him and headed to my office. I opened the pink handkerchief that little girl had given me earlier. She didn't seem to know who I was. The handkerchief was soaked with my blood. I released a hard breathe as Leo came in with Nick and Paul. "Is it true that you were shot?" They asked as I settled into my chair. "It's just a scratch." I uttered. I poured alcohol onto my wound, hissing through gritted teeth. After that was done, I bound my wound.Today was supposed to be an easy day, selling fire arms to a gang from another city. But they didn't want to pay us and tried to shoot us. Bad mistake. I had only brought three men with me and they were lucky when they managed to shoot my left arm, Leo and the others came when they were informed of what was happening. Everything was under control, but I noticed that their leader was trying to escape, I decided to follow him, I managed to shoot him in the head, but I started to get dizzy. I stumbled to a tree and leaned against it, realizing that I was in a school. I had no idea how long I was there. I jumped out of my skin as the bell went. Luckily, nobody came here and I often went there when I needed time to think, alone. As I started to leave, I heard somebody approaching and I moved into a defensive position, ignoring the pain in my arm.I stopped as I realized that it was just some school girl, who looked quite lost. Her caramel eyes bulged as she looked at me. I leaned on the tree and the girl looked like she was trying to decide something. I raised my eyebrows as she started to move towards me and pulled out a handkerchief. She didn't look scared as she started to bind my wound, I saw her smile and I looked closely at her face. She was so tiny compared to me, but as I looked closer I knew she was beautiful. I didn't say anything and studied her face; suddenly she blushed when she realized that I was looking at her. She ran away from me as I stared at her. Who is she? ---------------------------------------------------------
