** Adrianne POV **
I jump into the car when I see Robert is the one who is driving. I nodding my head “Hey Robert”
He look at me through the rear view mirror “How’s the new school?” He said softly, smiling.
“Not bad” I shrugged looking back out the window.
Robert used to drive Audrey everywhere, he’s one of my parent’s workers who knows what happened inside my family. When my mother decided that I needed my own driver, she assigned Robert and i couldn’t be happier that it’s Robert, but my smile dropped when I arrived at my house and met my mother.
“Look what you’ve done, you stupid girl” She spat making me freeze on the spot. What is it now? “Your friends parents called and they keep asking me about what happened to you or is the rumor true that the school expelled you and...” ‘Blah…blah…blah’ she keeps rambling and I try to not open my mouth while she’s speaking.
I hate this house. I hate who I am in this house. I can’t be myself when I am in this house and in front of my parents. They never see me as myself. I am Adrianne, I am not Audrey.
“Why are you doing this to me? To this family?” She keep talking to herself and I try really hard to ignore her harsh words, it already hurt knowing that I embarrass her I don’t need her to telling me the same thing over and over again.
“Stop” I whispered when she keep talking to me.
“And look what you’ve done to your father who....”
“STOP IT!” I shout and make me and my mother shocked from my outburst.
“What? How dare you...”
“Could you stop it, mother?” I cut her for the second time “I try really hard for you and dad but you keep telling me that I am a disgrace of a daughter? LOOK AT ME! I am Adrianne” I yelled and before she can say anything else, I quickly turn around and walk away from her, I need a time to calm myself. I run from my house like I was on fire.
Robert saw me crying and he look worried when I ran past him. “Miss Adrianne?”
I ignore Robert who keeps calling my name and kept running from them, from my prison. I didn’t know where I was going until I realize that I need to catch my breath and stop before I collapse from tiredness. My steps get slower until I see a bench and decided to sit on it.
I feel something wet hit my hair and realized it was rain, but I don’t care. The rain got heavier and gets me soaked head to toe. I don’t know how long I sat on the bench. I don’t know what I was thinking for yelling at my mother like that. She will be angry and I know that my father will hear about it and he will make sure that I’ll get my punishment.

I didn’t know how long I sat there on the bench until I feel someone stand beside me.
Robert smiled when he brought the umbrella to cover me from the rain which is no use seeing as I was already soaked from head to toe.
“Your parents are worried” He said and makes me roll my eyes, yeah right. “They looking for you right now”
I raise my head and look up. “I miss my old family, Robert” I whispered but I know he can hear me. I feel Robert take a seat beside me but I keep my head down and closed my eyes to stop the tears. He didn’t say anything just sat there while I cried.
He knows how hurt I am for living with my parents right now and I am grateful for what he’s doing now. We sit there for almost hours until the rain finally stops. “It’s late miss” Robert said in a soft tone.
I sighed and realize that I’m shuddering from the cold and the wetness of my clothes didn’t help me either. Robert give me his jacket and puts it around me. We walk together in silence and even though I wish i didn’t have to go back to my parents’ house, I know I don’t have any other place to go.
“Wait, I’ll bring the car” Robert said before jogging to where he parked the car.
I leaned on the electric pole while waiting for Robert when I hear someone shout from the place on the corner.
Lazily, I turn my gaze and watch several people with their friends and girlfriends laughing with a beer in their hands. They look so loose and happy, like there’s no problems on their shoulders.
I didn’t know that I was watching them until I notice a man looking in my direction from his Hummer. He had a cigarette in his hand while leaning on his big car and I can’t see his face clearly from the darkness around me. I didn’t know how long we stare at each other until Robert stopped in front of me and called my name
“Miss Adrianne” He shouted when he saw that I wasn’t moving from my spot.
I shook my head slowly before jumping into the car and he quickly shut the door before driving me back to that retched place I have to call home.

** Gavin POV **
“What’s wrong man?” Leo asked when he saw me leaning on my car looking at the drenched girl across the way.
I shrugged but kept my eyes trained on her “I know her”
Leo chokes on his beer when he hears my answer, I know I never pay attention to any girl or woman in this city since, like he said, I have a cold heart and I don’t pay attention to anyone. I know i’m a man, and I have my “personal needs” so I bed them. But I don’t care to remember their name or face. I don’t care, I’ve never cared
That is why Leo is so shocked with my statement.
“This is huge” Leo exclaims happily and makes the others look at us with curiosity on their faces when they come to stand where we were. “Who is she?” Leo asked and I know everyone else is looking at her right now.
I shrugged when I saw a man come and open the back door for her. Who is that guy? I frown and didn’t realize I looked mad until Leo’s voice snapped me out of the trance.
“Oh wow…She has a boyfriend” He smirked and I shove him quickly hitting him harder than needed. “f**k, I’m joking”
I didn’t pay attention to anybody, I was too busy looking at the plate numbers to the car taking her away.
“Leo I need you to look up those plate numbers and give them to me.” He looked at me and rolled his eyes but nodded and walked off with Nick. Taking a long gulp of the beer I had in my hands - enjoying the burning sensation as it flows down my throat.
“Is she special?” Paul asked with a different tone from Leo, who likes to tease me. Paul was the calm and serious one which I like to talk to because I don’t like to make, or hear, any jokes.
“She’s the one who wrapped my wound with the stupid pink handkerchief” I grunt.
“The pink thing that you put in your pocket?” He snickered and I glare at him who quickly raises his hand in surrender “Sorry..sorry”
“She’s the girl that they saw sitting on the bench while it was raining” Someone said from behind us, joining our conversation.
I raise my brow “What?”
He clears his throat when he saw my reaction and added hesitantly “Raul’s girlfriend she told me she saw a girl who look depressed and was crying while it was raining on the park bench” He explain before he turned around and left.
“Who is she?” Paul asked me.
“I don’t know” I told him the truth which made him raise his eyebrow. “But I guess, I want to know her” I added.
“She seems young”
I nodded agreeing with him “She’s a student in the public school in the South area”
“What is she doing in here? 1 ½ miles away from the South area if she lived there?” Paul frowned, asking the correct question.
Yeah, what she’s doing here in the West area near the city if she goes to school there?
