I am finishing up my briefing with the castle guards when I get the mind-link from one of the men who went with Raya and Yvette.
We’ve found some bodies, Your Grace.Bodies? What the hell is he talking about? Who found them? Where?The women we are guarding came across them in a cave. Do you want to send some people to collect them? They won’t be easy to move, they’re… in multiple pieces.
That really doesn’t clear anything up, but there is one question I need to ask before I find out anything else: Are the women alright?
I should have felt if Raya was in any kind of trouble, but our bond is brand-new. Maybe it takes time to kick in.
They’re safe. They’ve gone outside now.
That is something, at least. I’ll be there myself as soon as I can.
