What does he want from me?

Chapter 6

"Yes everything is fine," Val says as he walks over to me and moves the sales guy out of the way.

I put my feet on the ground and just look at him. Val sits down in front of me and picks up the foot measuring tool.

"She is a size 8," he says to the sales guy.

"He could have done that, it is his job." I say to Val.

"I know, but the lycan within me did not like the thought of another man touching you." He says quietly as he looks down at the ground. He helps me put my old shoes back on and then he reaches out to help me stand.

"Miss, we have many shoes in your size. Is there a specific type of shoe that you prefer?" The sales guy asks as he looks between Val and I.

"I don't really know. I am starting a whole new wardrobe. So can I just walk around and point to the ones I like and someone grabs them in my size?" I ask looking up at Val.

He nods his head and the sales guy goes and grabs a cart.

"Ready when you are." He says with a big smile.

I start walking silently through the store. Val and the guards are standing by the front of the store talking.

"Those are cute," I say pointing to a pair of white tennis shoes.

"Yes they are, we have them in most colors as well. Would you like them in another color as well?" The sales guy asks as he grabs

my size of white ones off the shelf.

"Can I get them in black as well?" I ask him. He nods and goes and grabs them.

I keep walking along the shelves. I pick out a few more tennis shoes, and then I find a wall of high heels and I stop.

"Everything okay?" The sales guy asks.

"I have never worn high heels, but I am sure I will need to wear them now for certain occasions." I say looking at the ground.

"Not a problem. For now we can get you some shorter heels, that have a square heel. They are easier to walk in compared to the

stiletos. Also some wedge heels are pretty easy to walk in and will match a lot of summer dresses." He says with a smile as he walks along just grabbing the different shoes as he goes. I notice he grabs some black and some white. He got a lot in silver and a few in red.

I walk behind him and stop in front of a pair of purple and blue heels.

"These ones too please." I say as I point them out to him.

We then walk over and find me a pair of boots that I like and lots of sandals. We make our way up to the front of the store so he can ring me out.

"Ready?" Val asks me as I pull his card out of my pocket.

"Just have to pay, and figure out how we are getting all of these to the palace since we walked here." I say with a soft smile.

"Miss Chloe, we can have them delivered to the palace for you. No need to worry about that." The sales guy says to me with a smile as he watches Val.

"Okay great. Thank you so much for all of your help." I say to him with a smile.

"It was my pleasure. And my name is George. If you have any issues with any of the shoes just come back and I will help you out." He says as he turns and walks towards the back of the store.

"I see that you have already gotten some things. What else do you need to go and get?" Val asks me as he leads me out of the store.

"I need to find a store for shorts and shirts still. I am going to need more of those since the weather here is so nice. I also need

swimsuits and panties and bras." I say looking up at him with a blush forming across my face.

"Okay well this store here will have the shorts, shirts and swimsuits." Val says as he stops in front of another store.

"I have a few phone calls to make, so I will be out here waiting for you. The guards will walk in with you and wait." He says as he

pulls out his phone.

I walk in and am greeted by a red head. Her tag says her name is Sarah.

"How can I help you today?" Sarah asks as she looks at me and then at my guards waiting by the door.

"I am replacing my wardrobe and need some shorts and shirts. And I also need a few swimsuits." I say to her with a smile.

Sarah and I walk silently. I am not much of a talker and she seems to be okay with that. I grab the things that I need. I ended up with

6 swimsuits, all different styles. Sarah said you can never have too many swimsuits this close to the ocean.

We go up to the counter and she rings the items up. She places everything in a bag, then gives me the total. I pull out Val's card and hand it to her.

"This is not your card. Where did you get it?" She asks as she looks at the card.

"Val gave it to me this morning to come and get the things that I need." I say to her with a sigh.

"How dare you speak of him without his title? He is a prince and you should respect that. I do not believe that he gave you this card. So I will be holding it until he comes in here to get it himself. Now run along I don't have time for theves." She says with a snarl.

I sigh and walk out the door. The guards follow me. I stop in front of Val. He hangs up the phone and looks at me.

"Where is your stuff?" He asks looking at the guards.

"She thinks I stole your card and needs you to go in and get it." I say quietly.

"Follow me." He says as he storms past me and into the store.

"Prince Val," Sarah says as she bows to him.

"Why do you have my card?" He asks her.

"I took it from the thief. The little wolf was trying to use it and called you by your name and not your title. So I wanted to be sure it made its way back to you." She says sweetly smiling at him.

"Well the little wolf did not steal it. And she is allowed to call me by my name and not my title. That is my decision to make and not yours. Now please charge my card, so that I can finish what I need to do today." He growls out at her.

"Here you go," she says as she finishes the transaction and tries to hand Val his card.

"You can give it to her as it is now her card and not mine." He says as he turns and walks away.

Sarah throws the card on the counter and I pick it up.

"I do not care who or what you are to him. You are just a weak little wolf that does not belong here. He deserves so much more than you." Sarah growls lowly at me as I turn and walk away.

The two guards are carrying all of the bags. I feel bad, but they won't let me carry anything.

"Last store. The two of you can head back to the palace. Please put the bags into Chloe's room. Also put any of the deliveries that showed up today into her room as well. Thank you." Val says to them as he turns and looks at me.

The two guards nod and walk away, heading for the palace.

We walk into the store and are greeted by an older woman with white hair.

"Hi, my name is Kat. How can I help you today?" She says as she bows to Val.

"My name is Chloe. Nice to meet you," I say with a smile. "I am in need of everything," I tell her.

She laughs and nods. "Okay, well let's head this way and start with your size. Prince Val, there is a sitting room right over there if you would like to stay there while we shop." She says as she nods in the direction of the sitting room.

I watch as he walks over and sits down. Kat takes my measurements and starts grabbing things off the rack.

"I am sure you have no limit, so let's just get some of the basics and a few things that you like." Kat says as we walk through the store.

She has grabbed panties and bras, some pajamas and even a few sexy outfits. I am sure I won't be needing those, but I let her grab them anyways. I pick a few items out that I like and we head to the register.

She hands me my receipt and tells me to have a good day, and that she is going to have the bags delivered to the palace for me. I nod and thank her as I head over to Val.

"Finished," I say as I stop in front of him.

He puts his phone down and smiles at me.

"Now, let's go get some lunch. I am starving." He says as he leads the way out of the store.
