CHAPTER 32

VINCE

Their eyes widen at my words, confirming that they are well aware of their father’s actions.

“You can tell him that when you get home,” I add, rubbing it in further. Their father is already not in our father’s good graces anymore. I figure telling them this won’t cause any trouble.

“What do you mean?” Millie asks me, shaking off the shock in her eyes. “Our father has no…”

“Save it for someone else,” I hush her up. “Speaking of him, where is he right now?”

“We don’t know.”

Their eyes stilled briefly as they linked each other. I am impressed with their skill at linking each other this fast. I share a look with Vance who nods in agreement with me.

“There was an attack?” Billie gasps, holding a hand to her chest, fake or real concern flashing in her eyes as she moved towards Vance. “Are you okay, Vance?” She almost touches his chest when he shoves her hand away.

Today is definitely their shock day, judging by how much shock they’ve experienced so far, especially Billie.

“Don’t ever touch me again,” he warns her. “How come you didn’t join the pack to fight the rogues? You’ve both been trained for this.”

I scoff inside. All they’ve trained for is to become our Lunas.

“Where were you all? Especially your father?” Vance continues.

“We don’t know where he was. He’s the Gamma. I am sure he was helping.”

“You don’t know?” I chuckle. “And your father wasn’t seen helping anywhere when the attack was going on. And where were you two?”

They exchanged further looks. Millie bit her lip. “We were together in my room, listening to music on our earphones.”

“Wow,” I couldn’t help but chuckle out loud. “Your pack is under attack and you were listening to music. Is that how Lunas behave? Even if you didn’t hear the alarm, didn’t you get a link?” Our supernatural hearing can pick even the softest whisper in a noisy place. “Especially as Gamma wolves.”

“They’re lying,” Vance sends over the link, his eyes on them. I nod at him.

“What do you want us to say, Vince? We didn’t hear the alarm or got a link,” Billie throws out, giving more attitude.

I draw closer to them, flitting my eyes between the two. “I hope you’re saying the truth. For your sakes.”

“Really? I think your father would like to know how his sons are treating pack members,” Billie says chuckling, giving more attitude, trying to mask her fear. “Especially us.”

But she won’t get off easily if I find out the truth. Something gnaws at my mind about this. “Be my guest.” She narrows her eyes, grinding her teeth as she holds my gaze. “And you’re still going to apologise to our mate.” I promise myself this will happen. They will do it willingly or by force.

“Never! I won’t apologise to her,” Millie snaps, stomping forward.

This new Millie certainly is done sitting on the sidelines, watching her sister get cozy with Vance and me ignoring her. She’s always been silent, and I guess learning that Nicole is our mate, suddenly makes her realise that her chances of being with me just dropped to a true zero.

Her problem, not mine.

“Oh, you will. I promise you that,” I offer them my best vicious gaze. If they think they are getting away with hurting my mate with their words, they are mistaken.

“How can you two choose her over us just because she’s your mate. What does she have that we don’t have?!” Millie rages on.

“You have no idea, silly girl. She’s a thousand time what you can never be.” Yes, my lovely mate with the softest skin I have ever felt. Her scent was heavenly.

“She has our hearts and our bond. And you’re not even an inch close to her amazing personality,” Vance boasts about Nicole, a small smile playing at his lips.

“And she’s the most beautiful she-wolf we have ever seen,” I rub it in, relishing the envious looks in their eyes.

Yeah, she’s the most beautiful she-wolf for me. Her brown eyes with tiny flecks of gold and soft brown hair. I couldn’t believe I was holding her in my arms when I carried her into the bathroom. The feel of her soft skin in my hands was an experience I can never ever forget or want to not ever feel again.

“There’s nothing special about her! We are more beautiful and stronger than she is,” Millie says spitefully.

“And I doubt she can ever make you feel the way I do, Vance. Think about that,” Billie huffs, tapping her feet on the floor, looking at Vance. “She’s doesn’t have the experience I have.”

“That makes her even more beautiful and special,” Vance replies with a proud smirk on his face.

“And you think she will want to be with you, knowing that we have been together?” Billie raises her brows in mock surprise. “You definitely know nothing about your so-called mate.”

Vance and I exchange worried glances.

What is she talking about? I try to calm my wolf.

Scoffing, Billie continues with a victorious look in her eyes, striding slowly towards us, leaning towards Vance more. Stopping in his front and trailing a finger on his chest. “Your precious mate, Nicole…is a fan of the mate bond. She gobbles every lesson in Mates 101 class.” She casts a glance at me. “She is an advocate of staying…no, she believes that we should remain pure till we find our mates. Wolves staying pure till they find their mates. How naïve.” She giggles, giving an evil smirk.

This is bad.

Vance swats her finger away from his chest and pushes her away. “What the hell are you getting at?”

“Will you stop pushing me!” she growls through gritted teeth.”

“What has all that bullshit got to do with Nicole?” he asks her.

Her evil smirk doubles. She glances back at her sister, turns back to us and goes back to Vance who has a look of total disgust on his face. Probably he is wondering why he ever made her his girlfriend.

Billie purrs as she speaks next. “She’s keeping herself for her mate because she believes that her mate will do the same for her.” Pouting and glancing at me. “Do you think she will want you two when she finds out where your d***s have been?” Her eyes remain on Vance, looking at him sultrily, licking her red lips slowly, rising on her toes to whisper in his ears. “Will she still want you Vance, when your d**k has been in all my holes? All three of them.”

Damn!
