Chapter 25: A revelation

Ottilie POV The kiss was electric, all of our kisses had been but there was a sense of urgency in this one that I couldn't control. My whole body bended towards him and I melted at his touch. A fire exploded inside my belly, traveling down towards my core. I clawed at his t-shirt, desperate to get it off him. I could feel Ariana in the back of my mind purring, albeit reluctantly, relief washed over me. He pulled back suddenly and cupped my face, "you're beautiful," he breathed, before he pulled the t-shirt over my head, his eyes darkening as he took in my bare chest and hard n*****s. I moaned as he moved one hand to my right breast, stroking the underside before gently pinching my stiff bud. I inhaled sharply, as his hand brushed over my silver diamond, the heat between my legs almost unbearable. He stood up holding me, my legs wrapped around him and carried me towards the bed. Depositing me gently I watched silently as he pulled his t-shirt over his head. His abs rippled as he moved towards me, the intricate ink flexing. I was so turned on, I knew in my heart of hearts he had to be more to me than just a random guy from my past, we were mates, how or why I didn't care anymore, I just wanted to be near him, I wanted him inside me. He pulled his belt from the waistband of his jeans, cracking it a little, amused at the look of lust that crossed my face. "Interesting," he murmured, flinging it to one side as he kicked off his jeans. "That's definitely something we can explore another time." I inhaled sharply as my imagination ran riot, looking at his enormously hard c**k didn't help matters. I could practically feel myself gushing. As if sensing my desperation, he lowered himself gently on to me. I reached my hand up to touch his hard chest, my nails raking slowly over his abs. He buried his face in my neck, licking and kissing my marking spot, making me cry out in ecstasy. I could feel him brushing against me, his hard length almost at my entrance. He stopped suddenly and rolled slightly to one side, propping himself up. He reached one hand up to my thin neck and looked at me straight on. "I need to know that you want this Ottilie, once we start, I won't be able to stop." I nodded, lust coming off my body in waves as I arched towards him, desperate to feel him on me, to feel him in me. He smiled softly, and moved in between my legs. Before he could go further, a wave of intense pain came over me, making me cry out. "Ottilie, what's wrong?" He said urgently as I screamed in agony, my body writhing with pain. It was worse than any feeling I'd ever felt before, worse than any beating I'd ever had. It felt like my soul was being ripped out of me, I could barely breathe. The last thing I saw before I passed out was a terrified Damon, willing me to stay with him. Damon POV I paced back and forth outside of the room Ottilie was being examined in. I hadn't told anyone that she was my mate yet, Jake knew but he had some weird intuition and I couldn't lie to him. Until we figured out what it all meant, I wanted to keep it private and whatever happened had to be up to Ottilie. She'd spent enough of her life having other people make decisions for her. I was desperately worried about her, the way her body spasmed from the pain she was in was terrifying and I felt so helpless, I couldn't make it stop. I'd rushed her to the pack hospital as quickly as I could, mindlinking Jake and Sophie to meet me there as soon as they could. The doors behind me swung open and Jake and Sophie rushed up to me. "What happened?" Said Sophie urgently. "She went back to her room, I was going to see her but I got a bit distracted." Despite the situation Jake smirked a little and I rolled my eyes at them both. "I don't know, we were urm, talking and then all of sudden she just screamed, it was like she was in agony and I couldn't make it stop," I said helplessly, looking down at my hands. "Just talking?" Said Sophie, looking at me with a shrewd look in her eyes. "Why? What does it matter?" I said irritably. "She's still mated to your cousins Damon," she said softly, "she might be your mate as well but this is unprecedented territory for us. You need to be careful." "Thanks Sophie," I said sarcastically, "really helpful right now." "Sorry," She said, biting her lip and falling silent. Suddenly the door to Ottilie's room opened and a woman walked out. "Mum!" Exclaimed Sophie, kissing her on the cheek, "I didn't realise you were on call today." "Hi darling, yes and thank goddess I was." she said looking at me pointedly. "We need to have a chat and I need to know everything." She led us into Ottilie's room and I rushed to her side, picking up her cold hand. She was deathly pale but still breathing. I kissed her forehead, murmuring endearments as I did, desperate for her to hear me. "Damon, I need to know what's going on here please." I looked into the kind but stern face of Sophie's Mum and sighed heavily. "Sure Miranda, where would you like me to start?" "From the beginning," she motioned for us all to sit, "and don't leave anything out." I did what she asked, taking her through everything that had happened since the day that I'd set eyes on her. When I finished she leaned back in her chair, inhaling sharply. We sat in silence for a second as she wrapped her head around what I'd just told her. "Well," she said leaning forward, her eyes bright. "the moon goddess really has made things complicated for you hasn't she?!" I smiled slightly in return, my eyes drifting over to where Ottilie lay. "Do you know what caused the pain?" I asked as I watched her chest rise and fall with each breath. "She's still mated to those boys," said Miranda. "There's only couple of things that can cause pain like that if someone hasn't been physically hurt." I realised what she was saying, a low growl slipping out of me. "You mean her mates betrayed her?" Said Sophie aghast. "Possibly, it might not have to be all of them, just the one. But it could also be because one of them, well, one of them died." I stopped growling, despite my feelings towards them they were still family and a part of me twisted in pain when I realised what could have happened. "Died?" I said, moving my gaze back to Miranda. "Or seriously injured, she might not have been marked by them but Ottilie is no ordinary wolf. I could sense her power when you brought her to me and when I tried to read her, she blocked me. That's never happened to me before." She looked at me seriously. "What do I do?" I asked desperately. "My wolf he wants her, I don't know how long I can hold him back." "Ask Ottilie what she wants, I can't predict what's going to happen, there's a block whenever I try to see in to the future where Ottilie's concerned but something tells me you are going to have to reconcile your feelings about your cousins at some point. You all need each other. I don't know why and I don't know how but there's something coming Damon and you can't stop it on your own." I looked at her mouth open, I knew that Miranda's mum had seers gifts, we'd used them before to help us with business deals and big decisions but this was huge. This was something different. She sighed heavily and got up, placing a hand on my shoulder. "We'll keep monitoring her, she's definitely not out of the woods yet and we might need to make some difficult decisions." I nodded, my heart sinking as I realised what those decisions might entail. "Thanks Miranda." "I'll see you at dinner Sophie and you Jake." She nodded at them both before leaving the room. I went to sit by Ottilie immediately, taking her hand in mine. I could hear Sophie and Jake quietly leave the room. I waited for the door to close before I climbed onto the bed next to her. Holding her close to me I breathed in her scent and waited for her to wake up.
