"Good morning!" I greet Harry who is already sitting at his desk typing away on his computer. I admire his focus and realize I should probably be working on mine since in that department I was lacking. On that note, I do justify myself for the lack concentration, I was blaming Harry for his good looks and kind personality.

"Good morning!" Harry greeted as I sat down with my box of supplies in my lap. Since I forgot to set up my desk yesterday I thought I would do it today before I got into some actual real work. I had a meeting with the clients I was dealing with just before lunch today so I had a lot more work to catch up on that I hadn't anticipated.

"Busy morning?" I asked him seeing how he was intently concentrated on his screen. I begin to talk casual conversation as I pull out all my supplies and begin to place it on my desk and arranging everything the way I want it to be.

"My client's want to change their court date so I'm trying to pull as many strings as I can to get the date changed," Harry informed as a breeze brushed against my back causing me to turn and see my other desk buddy.

"You must be the new girl... Maddie was it?" A women about my age with medium length brown hair and brown eyes sat down on her desk next to me. Her face looked kind and I was extremely grateful I had nice co-workers. I was a little nervous at first because of the way these people dressed but it was nice to know the people I have met so far were nice people.

"Madeline." I correct shaking her hand with a smile.

"It's nice to meet you, Madeline, I am Nadine and can I just say I'm happy to have another girl over here to take my side in arguments." Nadine smiled as I chortled at her little comment regarding Harry, only assume since it was only Nadine, Harry, and I at the end of the row of desks.

"Is today your first day?" Nadine indulged taking a sip of her coffee she had put on her desk when she sat down to shake my hand.

"Second actually I kinda just forgot all my supplies yesterday. I was really nervous and left all my stuff at home." I explained now seeing she was probably talking about how I was setting up my desk.

"This place can be a little intimidating but I heard through the grapevine you were amazing! I'm sure you are going to fit right in." Nadine shrugged logging into her computer. Emptying my box of things I then began to get to work, logging into my computer and doing my best to navigate the new system.

"Hey, sorry to bug you but did you want to have lunch with Harry and me?" Nadine leaned back in her chair so that I could see her face again. She smiled and waited for my reply as I looked over at Harry.

"As long as Harry is cool with it I would love too!" I gushed trying to not sound too excited about the fact that I was getting invited to lunch with my new co-workers. I didn't have other friends outside of Talia so I was very excited to be invited out with a new group.

"Of course I am cool, plus sometimes Nadine get a little boring so it will be nice to have a new person join our squad." Harry leaned back in his chair to wink at Nadine who rolled her eyes at him and his smug expression.

"Do you see what I have to deal with on a daily basis?" Nadine points out gesturing towards Harry who is grinning with those perfectly shaped heart lips.

"Oh, you know you love me, Nadine! Don't try to hide it!" Harry continued with the same smug expression causing me to giggle at Nadine and Harry's teasing. Sitting back up in her chair she went back to work as I turned back to Harry and gave him a giggle before going back to my work.

"She loves me she just doesn't want to admit it," Harry whispers to me to which Nadine pipes in from her desk.

"I can hear you and no I don't love you!" She responded to which Harry again whispers to me.

"She loves me."

The morning rolls into the afternoon and in no time at all, I am in one of the conference rooms with my two clients who are being beyond difficult. We had only been in here for about 15 minutes and they had argued the moment they came in making it hard for me to get any work done at all.

"Girl you be trippin'!" Jeremiah argued once again when I brought up their different assets they were trying to split evenly.

"Who you sayin' trippin? Boy, you better not be talkin' bout me!" Becky fired back at Jeremiah causing my head to ache from all the yelling they were doing.

"Do you mind if I step in here for a second, maybe we should move onto the custody of your children since you two aren't quite ready to talk about your appartment.. or your motorbikes... or your cat..." I trailed looking that we had gotten nowhere with all their arguing.

"I want full custody of Angel!" Becky speaks and sparks yet another argument with only just her voice. I swear this couple was a trainwreck and I was losing my patience quickly.

"I would suggest a 50/50 split between the two of you and with that, we also need to talk about child support for you Jeremiah and given your income-" My mouth snaps shut as soon as I see Jeremiah and Becky making intense love on the conference table. The walls are all glass which means everyone in the office is staring at the couple making animalistic sounds on the table.

Sweet baby Jesus.

"So I see your meeting went well." Harry joked picking at his kale salad he had ordered. I sigh and roll my eyes at the memory that happened only 15 minutes ago. My cheeks were completely flushed red and I wanted to crawl out of my skin with embarrassment. Embarrassment is a big theme for me in my daily life.

"God, my first meeting ever and they have raging s*x on the conference room table!" I put my face in my hands, I blow out a breath not knowing how to deal with that issue any further.

"Well on the bright side at least they aren't getting divorced anymore.." Nadine shrugged trying to come up with something positive.

"It's not like it's your fault anyways, I wouldn't sweat it if I were you," Harry advised as I took a swig of my water.I had just gotten this job and met new friends, I didn't want that meeting to reflect on me and my work.

"Really?" I glanced at both Harry and Nadine, they both nod in agreement and it makes me feel slightly better but not much.

"Pierce Lachlan hired you, Madeline! He knows how great of an attorney you are!" Harry assured me as I took the last bite of my sandwich to calm my nerves.

"Harry is right, which doesn't happen to be often." Nadine teased causing me to again giggle at their relationship.

"So are you guys together or?" I thought I would ask and get the question out of the way since I was a little confused. They seemed like they could be a couple with how much they banter back and forth and I need to know if Harry was off limits.

"Oh hell no!" Nadine immediately answered with a disgusted face to convey further that Harry and she were not a thing in the least.

"God no!" Harry replied to Nadine's answer.

"I wouldn't touch that d**k with a ten-foot pole!" Nadine fired at Harry bantering with him once again.

"Yeah, I wouldn't put my d**k anywhere near her if my life depended on it." Harry shot right back at Nadine who widened her eyes and gasped. "What?" Harry asked her thinking they were just playing around.

"I can't believe you would rather die than have s*x with me." Nadine sulked causing Harry to tell her that he was sorry and that he had gone too far.

"What about you Madeline? Any boyfriends?" Nadine asked me sipping her drink from her stray while she wiggled her eyebrows.

"No, I am in every single way shape and form single," I tell the both of them seeing a tiny smirk tug at the corners of Harry's lips.

"What about you guys?" I make it now my mission to figure out if Harry truly is single since I am no home wrecker or man stealer.

"Nope, I just got out of a two-year relationship." Nadine raised her hand up to signal she wasn't interested in relationships.

" I am currently single." Harry grinned at me again making me think he was a little bit into me. I knew that I was into him and whether he knew that or not I wasn't sure but I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and see where things went with Harry and me.
