“ARE YOU okay?” Flint screamed her concern as soon as we were already far away from the shore. We couldn’t see Rhys anymore nor were his guards. I was still worried though, but I wouldn’t let it get to my head. What was important right now was that we managed to run away from him. I must say, for three helpless women who had nothing but a small boat, and a tiny bow, and one of us was as old as the earth could see, we were pretty amazing. Who could say they escaped Rhys Ethelwulf and lived to tell about it? Flint rushed to my side. She checked almost every bone in my body to make sure I didn’t break any. Seeing someone so concerned about me made me burst into tears. Flint gasped. Almost immediately, she drew her hands back, thinking that she might have hurt me. But I grabbed her hands.
