THERE WERE flashes of light from behind my eyelids. There were angry shouts and rage full yells. It was slowly bringing me back to my consciousness, causing my head to pound heavily like I was in the middle of the beat of drums. My brain started to come back to function when I felt like my body was being carried by something. Not something, but someone. A big strong pair of arms hauled me upward until I was in someone’s embrace. My eyes screwed shut, refusing to open because of the pounding at the back of my head. It was like I was flying in the air. I was so dizzy that the world spun even when I couldn’t see anything. I wanted to say something, anything that could tell this person that I wanted to wake up.
