I pulled up to the school quickly. Since it’s literally right down the street from Mae’s place. Makes it convenient for me. I have to admit, I’m a bit hesitant with leaving Chas and Cel with her. Not that I don’t trust her or anything but Chas and Cel are very hyper and I don’t want her to strain herself by trying to keep up. What keeps me at ease is knowing Shani will be there so hopefully she can help her out. I just hope they like Shani as much as they like Mae.
“Hi daddy,” Chas said packing up her stuff. “Can we go to the park?”
“Not today. I have to go to work.” She pouted sadly. “You can ask Mae when you go over there.”
“We going to Mae house?!” She jumped up and down in excitement. “Yay!”
“Yeah. So let’s go get your brother.”
