Several weeks had gone by and I was starting to think that Alpha Damien and his family had forgotten about the marriage. Maybe Scott had given them a valid reason to call it off.
Just when I thought everything was finally back to normal, mother came in to tell me that the arrangements and preparation for the wedding has been finalized. All that was left was the marriage itself.
Could this be why Elijah hasn’t reached out to me?
I should get used to this feeling of loneliness because this would be my reality after the marriage. No one would want to be around Scott’s wife. Not even Elijah.
