Megan POV A scream of objection died on my lips as I watched the gray and white wolf Adam had turned into run off to join the fight. I had a feeling that he didn’t have a choice, and my fear for his safety wouldn’t change it. Neither would my concern that he’d left me with two crazy ladies who thought standing on either side of me with their hands in the air offered me any kind of protection. So, I watched him go and prayed that he’d be safe. In front of us, a big black wolf with eerily light blue eyes leaped up and snatched one of those scary-looking birds out of the sky. They hit the sand with a dull thud and the clang of metal on metal, then became locked in a battle for life and limb. Terrified, I retreated from the scene before me until I backed into something hard. I jumped and
