Chapter 34 - Spreading malicious issues

Keidi stared at Joffiel. He seemed curious as to why the other director would do such a thing to Joffiel and he has been thinking about it for the past few days. Keidi knew that Joffiel did not deserve to be treated like this. He also  thought that it is the best for the company that Joffiel won against the other director.

Keidi walked towards Joffiel and he asked Joffiel with a greeting smile on his face, "Hey, Joffiel. I am glad that you won against the other director. Well, for me, it was the best that you are the one who stayed at that company.  Why did she make false statements about you in the first place? Why does she have to do that?" 

Joffiel tapped Keidi's shoulder. She replied, "I did not expect you to ask me about that. That already happened many days ago. But, well, When you are working, for example at Azazel Company, you cannot avoid some people who gossip about their co-workers. There are times that some workers will believe the gossip they create which is not yet proven. Sometimes they did not even do their fact checks. They want to bring other people down so that they have their chance to be recognized by the higher ups. Making fake news about your co-workers will help you rise in the position inside the company, but in a wrong way. You should avoid that and at least don't join with them if they are spreading false accusations. The Creator doesn't want us to become sinners."

“Oh, is that so? Well, I did not expect that kind of answer, but I guess you are right. I think they need some more workers like you in that company, Joffiel. I like kind hearted people like you. They way you act, is just too pure for me,” Keidi responded while having a big smile on his face.

Keidi really liked how Joffiel tells what she is thinking. He also thinks that Joffiel is someone you can give all your trust to. He really admires her and treats Joffiel as her sister. 

"I am happy that at least some people are learning to do their job, not meddling with other people's lives. I can see that you have already changed to become better in life. I want to say that I am really proud of you. Good job Keidi," Joffiel said.

"Thank you, Joffiel. You know, I learned a lot of things from you. You helped me to never go back to my past life. I appreciate how you do these kinds of things,” Keidi said.

"Sure! No worries! You can always count on me,” Joffiel responded and walked away.

Before getting far from him, Keidi called Joffiel and walked towards her.

“I have been thinking about this lately, Joffiel. Can I call you my sister since I do not have parents or siblings? I actually treat you like my younger sister since I am older than you. I hope that it's okay with you," Keidi said. 

“That is unusual of you, Keidi. I like being treated like a family too, just do what suits you," Joffiel agreed and gave Keidi a gentle smile.

After working for one week at Denver Coffee Shop, Keidi is now achieving his goal. He passed the entrance exam and even got a scholarship from the school that he really wanted to go to.

His salaries from Joffiel and the Coffee Shop are enough to buy his daily needs and it is what keeps him from moving forward. He also learned how to save money for his future. Joffiel taught him many things in life and how to survive without doing bad things to other people. Keidi somehow wanted to pay all the gratitude and favor that Joffiel gave him.

Joffiel bought and gave Keidi a new cell phone so that they can easily communicate with each other. The other staff saw what Joffiel did and got curious on why Joffiel would give Keidi a cellphone. The staff wanted to know the status of the two.

“Hey, Ma’am Joffiel. So what is your status with Keidi? Is there something you might want to tell me?” the staff jokingly asked Joffiel.

"No, no. We are just like brothers and sisters, nothing more. Plus, if you don’t know, you are doing what is right. You should ask us first the truth before telling others what you think earlier. Keep up the good work, I like that" Joffiel explained. 

"I see, Ma'am Joffiel. Thank you for understanding my question and it didn't offend you. I was just really curious with you guys. The two of you seemed really close these past few days," the staff said. 

"It's okay to ask than to gossip. You are on the right track," Joffiel said and gave the staff a thumbs up.

One day at her work at Azazel, Joffiel's bracelet suddenly turned brighter. As she walks towards the other floor of the building, the bracelet is now blinking brighter lights. She cannot believe that her third task is just nearby. 

I never thought that I was destined to work here not just to eliminate demons, but also one of my main tasks is just around here. Joffiel thought to herself. 

She saw a woman gossiping about one of their co-workers. Joffiel is now getting the idea that when she finally talks about something related to her next task, the nearer she will find the next one. 

"I have hot news from our other co-workers that Snow is pregnant because of her best friend's boyfriend," the woman said. 

"Is that true? I saw her in the comfort room vomiting," the other woman said. 

"That's what our co-workers had told me. She is pregnant, indeed!" the woman said. 

How could they think that someone is pregnant when their basis is just that? She saw that the woman they were talking about was vomiting? So what could be my next task? Who is really my target this time? The woman spreading malicious issues or the woman they made gossiping about? Joffiel thought to herself. 

Joffiel visited the office of the women who are currently spreading malicious issues. Their behavior suddenly turned to be kind and very respectful to her. 

"Good morning!" Joffiel greeted as if she heard nothing. 

The employees also greeted her. She looked around to find the woman, named Snow. She wants to know who is really her main task. The bracelet is still blinking differently. 

Joffiel saw someone who has a name Snow. When she simply got near her, she checked her bracelet. She confirmed that Snow is not her task, it is the girl who keeps on spreading malicious issues inside the company. 

She went back to her work and thought of a way to get in touch with the woman on the next floor. She wants to finish it as soon as possible because there are still seven tasks remaining to be accomplished before becoming a real angel.
