Malachi’s POV She stood shakily and took hold of the metal frame that helped her walk, as she made her way back into the house and to the kitchen, as I followed her, being sure to mind my head on the way. She ushered me to sit as she boiled the kettle and quietly made two cups of tea. She went to lift the cups with an unsteady hand, and I took them both from her, placing them on the table and pulling out a chair for her to sit in. She sat and took another long look at me.
