Malachi’s POV
They took us directly there, but the scent was no longer in the air. It had been over an hour since the sighting had been noted, and they obviously weren’t there long, before they ran. We followed the track for a short while, but the track went cold. We were now in Coldfell territory and although their security was abysmal, and we were on good terms with them, we had not gained permission to be on their land.
I linked Marley and asked him to call Alpha Aldine to inform him of the situation and to give him the map coordinates of where they were last seen. I hoped that he would take this seriously and send out some men to check the borders. Hopefully, they could pick up the trace, but I wasn’t overly sure he would, after what Avery had said about him and his Gamma.
