Malachi’s POV I tossed and turned all night, unable to get comfortable. I knew it was because my mind was reeling, and I missed having any kind of connection with my mate. It was important to establish a connection in order for the bonding process to commence, but I knew I had to tread carefully. However, if I didn’t make any progress, our connection and the bonding would slowly start to break and rejection would most likely be the end result. Eero whined in the recess of my mind at the thought of rejection, and as much as I didn’t want to think about it, I was struggling to come up with a way in which I could move forward in my current predicament. She was living in the human town and unlikely knew shifters even existed, it wasn’t like I could just walk up to her and blurt it all out.
