Forgetting the Alpha King

Time to spark this romance

Kana’s POV

It’s about noon and lunchtime and I'm pretty hungry. For a lot of cars in the parking lot I barely see anyone here in the castle. The council meeting starts around 2pm so I'll just wait for them to start so I can go around roaming the castle grounds by myself since I'll most likely get bored. I walk out with mom and dad in a ball room and see the other council  members walking to their meeting room. Mom and dad said that since all the council members are already here and the ball is tonight they rather get this meeting started since it can take hours to complete. 

My parents also said that I can leave but to stay out of trouble. I gave them the “who me look” and winked. I ran to the kitchen and found a few Goblins and Dwarfs who I gladly helped with making some food. I love the staff here they made me feel really welcomed. I stayed in the kitchen for about a good hour and a half and then one of the fairies, Bella, came by and walked me outside. We clicked instantly and I finally found a new friend. 

We spotted a hidden door under some bushes and looked in between the ivy leaves to find a garden. This garden was such a mystery to me. It had a door locked in front of it but I knew a garden was behind that door for some reason. We snuck in the garden and Bella told me that no one goes in here. She doesn’t know why but we went anyways since it looked like a place where we wanted to explore. There were flowers everywhere and sunflowers almost taller than me. 

A huge cherry tree was in the middle of the garden and I felt like this tree shaded the whole garden. To make things even better, there was not only just flowers but fruits and vegetables. It looked like this used to be someones personal garden. I have a green thumb and knack for planting. It’s something I love to do on the side as a hobby. 

I found a bird bath and a huge swing attached to the cherry tree. It was placed like a platform swing. Pretty much a long wooden board attached to rope a little longer than the size of myself. Of course I jumped right on it and started to kick my feet to see how high I can go up. I felt so free in here. I loved swinging and checking out the garden and the few animals hanging out sunbathing here. 

There was a mini pond with fish in the distance too. It was pretty here and secluded. We loved playing here and exploring all the plants. It was getting a bit dark outside and I think the council meeting was over so me and Bella left to go back in the castle. Before we did I saw a few roses that were bunched up in a corner behind shadows so I cleaned it up and moved them more into the light. “Much better. Now you can shine in the light instead of in the darkness” I said to the roses. 

Allister’s POV

The damn council messed up my side elevator for my guests. It’s so annoying that they can act like children when they are 10x my age. I don’t know how my parents handled seeing them every year. I must make sure that things are handled well here since this is my first council meeting with them. I had just been appointed king and father and mother left a month back on vacation telling me that mom wants to travel the world and they probably won’t be back for about 3 months.

Flashback ****

“My loving son , I leave my kingdom now in your hands as your kingdom” my dad says while him and mom run off to god knows where. 

“Thanks for helping me out dad” I yell out to him before he leaves. 

“You know what to do plus you have your brothers and my leads to assist you” he says as he walks out the door. 

Mom just grins and blows a kiss to me as she runs out next to dad happy as hell. I just smirk at my parents. They might have been with each other for years, but they still act like a happy young couple when they see each other. Mom runs back and before she closes the door she screamed,” Find your mate so I can have grand kids being prepared when we come back”. 

That women! She would scream that so that the whole castle would hear. Everyone heard, I was so annoyed. Just for that I began my harem. My mom is going to be pissed when she figures this out. Oh well, I am King now and I don’t have a mate so who cares. Having a mate is something I do not look forward to. I love being with other women, multiple women. 

It’s been like this since the beginning of time. I was a ladies man and I loved it. I never got rejected and I said what I needed to say to get into their pants. I was not looking for love and still am not. I already knew I would be king one day so I would make the rules in the future so having a mate was not a priority to me. Heck having kids wasn’t either. With a harem I can have multiple mistress’ and a high chance of one of them having my child. So point for me being King. 

Present

“Looks like this meeting will start early since you have the mating ball planned to start right after” Jalen says to me. 

“ I planned for this so that they won’t need to stay longer than needed. Plus they wouldn’t want to mingle to long with all us werewolves by them” I laughed back. 

“True true. That way we can start getting our drink on and party all night and morning” screams Jalen. 

“I hope you find your mate so that you can stop bugging me all the time,” I say slyly to my beta. 

“I hope you find yours as well so you can stop being a careless man w***e” while he laughs walking to the bar to pour us a drink. 

Stupid beta. 

“I am doing this so that I don’t need a mate.” I say annoyingly. 

“ Sure if you say so. It’s only been a few months since you are king. You don’t need to prove anything to anyone that you haven’t found your mate. I’m surprised you haven’t got any of them pregnant with your pup yet” he says while passing me a shot of whiskey. 

“I am now king, I don’t have time to start a family I have things to take care of and responsibilities that need to be handled and done with.” I acknowledge in my head. 

“ We all know that but nothing wrong with starting your own family. It will keep our people at peace knowing their king is starting to settle down and plant roots here. We all thought you would be the son to leave and venture out into the world.” He says opening up a whole new conversation. 

“You know I wanted to do that and live my life to the fullest. I waited 4 years for my mate and I still haven't found her. Not that I cared but I used that as an excuse to stay here till I knew for certain I was ready to leave. With that being said I have no plans outside of my kingdom and this harem will promise multiple heirs for this kingdom's future. One day I will give them that, as of now I am in no rush.” I say with pride.

 “Well you better make one of them your Luna soon” my brother David says quickly while walking in pouring him a drink. 

I look at him in confusion. 

“Why is that? I say with concern. 

“From what doc said it looks like you may have found your mate just don’t know exactly who yet. And if she finds out who you are and who you’ve slept with, she’s going to be pissed! A pissed off Luna is way scarier than an Alpha since she can control her Alpha mate, even her King since they are equal” he reminds me. 

I’ve never thought of that. I’m going to be in a shitload of trouble. My wolf is pacing in my head. Silence reeks in my room as I sit down and take deep breaths on my couch. Next thing I hear is my brother and beta hit the floor laughing their lungs out. 

“What are you guys laughing about” ready to kill them. 

“It’s just, it’s just, it’s just she already has you whipped and you haven’t met her. “ beta laughs harder and is holding his stomach from laughing to hard. 

Even my strict stern proper brother looks like he’s dying from laughter on the floor. He can’t even keep a straight face and he’s actually trying hard to. 

“I’m sorry brother but it looks like your mate is going to be the one to kick your ass. I hope one day I can meet her so that I see how she checks you and puts you in your place!” He finally gets up to say after laughing so damn hard. 

I’m irritated now. 

“I am king, she will not have any effect on me” I say with my alpha voice. 

Once again I hear bodies drop to the ground laughing their hearts out. 

“Go ahead and laugh, I will maintain my status and she will know who's boss” I said proudly as I throw back the whiskey shot. 

Arrogant assholes! They are still laughing at me. 

“Lance why are you so quiet” I say to my wolf. 

“Well it’s because. It’s because they are right. I don’t want my mate to be mad at me so I’m scripting out what to say to her when I meet her and blaming everything on you” he says throwing me under the bus. 

“Why is it my fault?” I say annoyingly. 

“Well you had the idea of the harem just to piss your mom off and that’s backfiring on you. And let’s just say that my mate is not going to be happy with you saying that you wanted multiple heirs for this kingdom.” He whispers. 

Shit he’s right. She’s going to be pissed. Better yet she will probably murder every single one of them. 

“Well maybe it’s time I get rid of the harem anyways. I told Zack (my gamma) that I wanted to add more to my harem since I was bored. Maybe I’m just tired of having them” I say to my brother and beta. 

After both of them started to stand back up they both flew back to the ground laughing again. 

“You fools think I’m a pushover or something?” I say ready to shift to my wolf. 

“Brother it’s not that. It’s just you’ve forgot all about your mate that you haven’t realized how powerful she must be for you to act like this. After you started the harem I instantly thought you were ready to make one of them your Luna so we went for it and decided it was best for your kingdom since you’ve waited years for her. But now, there is no way any of them will ever have an impact on you like your mate will.” He says while they both try to stand up freely. 

“We are sorry my King” Jalen says while holding his stomach. 

“We want whatever is best for you and this kingdom. Whatever you decide we are here for you. But be warned, we can already tell that she is going to be one hell of a mate for you by how you are already acting” my brother says as we all throw back 2 shots and walk towards the elevator. 

“We are so screwed and it’s all your fault” Lance says as he disappears at the back of my head. 

He’s right. For once in my life I just want to hide in my room and not want to deal with this. 

“Come on king, let’s get this meeting over with so that we can drink our “single” lives away.” My brother says as he opens the elevator doors for us and does quote on quote movements with his fingers and they both start laughing hard again.
