{Ashlyn}
We could hear Victoria's sobs because of the thin walls. I, myself was all puffy-eyed and cheeks wet. Luna Jenna had humiliated me and called me out in front of everyone. All my work to earn everyone's respect went down the drain. I felt like nothing compared to Victoria. She was an Alpha's daughter, a hybrid, and inexplicably gorgeous.
I was a brunette with dark eyes and an omega. I was hanging on a thin line. The only way I could keep my Alphas was the attraction Alphas usually have towards omegas; especially ones they have imprinted on. I rubbed my hands over my face in pure defeat. Luna Jenna was probably comforting her daughter and teaching her every way of winning over her mates. Especially after today's incident.
My three Alphas left me covered in their bite marks before letting me leave for my archery competition. I secretly blamed them for the fiasco. If they hadn't made out with me then we all would've been swell. But and omega has to be submissive to her mate.
"Ace?" I called out to him. He was tugging at the collar of his shirt and grasping desperately at his chest where his heart was. "Are you okay?"
He swallowed roughly. "Yeah, I'm fine. Where's Brett?"
Strange. He'd always call me sweets. Dejectedly I made my way to where baby Brett was. He was fussing around and I picked him up and held him in my arms. I fell back on the couch, watching my Alphas every movement. It's true. I'm not their mate, Victoria is, but I am their imprinted omega. Naturally, omegas always attract Alphas.
Alec kept mumbling to himself and tugging at his dark locks. He was feeling the pain Victoria was feeling. His wolf wants to go to his true love and comfort her. That stung like a b***h. He then disappeared into the bathroom. My omega whined as Ace disappeared into the kitchen. Asher sighed and sat down next to me.
I placed Brett back in his crib and snuggle in his chest. He tense for a minute which really hurt my omega. I had already fallen in love with the three of them and when an omega is head over heels for an Alpha they act as if they were their mate. But sadly, I wasn't. I pressed my head on his chest, hearing the slow beating of his heart. "Asher?" I say, my eyelids drooping.
"Hmm?"
I hesitated. "I love you."
He stiffened and frowned. He said something but by that time I had already fallen victim to sleep. Even though I wasn't their mate I loved them too much to give them away. The only question that remained was, What would happen if I found my mate?
{Victoria}
Mom had already teleported back home by the time I had woken u and prepared for another day of college. But she had left me a note:
Dad has been whining for me to go home. Sorry! Fight for the Alphas but it is up to you to keep fighting that omega. Remember, your an Alpha's daughter, no omega is going to make you sad!
-Much Love,
MomI sighed and placed the note in my back jean pocket. "Lucas! I'm taking Rosalie, you take Rose! We switch at fourth period!" I call out to a just awakening Lucas.
"What? What time is it?" He squinted his eyes at the clock.
"Time for you to start getting u early." I roll my eyes and grab Rosalie's bag filled with all baby necessities. I place her in one of the strollers.
"Ha ha ha ha! Very funny," he grumbles in response and walks back into his room.
I push Rosalie's stroller and walk out of his stroller. I made my way to the elevator and was about to press the button but a much too familiar voice call out to me, "Victoria!"
I pretended not to notice Asher, Ace, Alec, and Ashlyn as they walked over to me. Ashlyn looking all motherly pushing Brett's stroller. Thankfully, Rosalie was napping in her stroller. The elevator door opened and I climbed in quickly and began pushing the button 1 repeatedly so that the door would close.
But luck wasn't on my side and Alec's foot stepped between the closing doors. The doors reopened and I narrowed my eyes at his apologetic smile. "You forgot these," he says, dangling Lucas's spare keys in front of me.
"No. I didn't." I reply, unaffected.
"Um, you did, it was next to the door's placemat." All four of them hopped in the elevator, Ashlyn keeping unsteady eyes on me.
"If you would've used that Alpha's brain of yours then you would've realized that it was Lucas's emergency key in case he forgot his key at home. It must've been dragged out from under that mat." I raised an eyebrow and said coldly. Ashlyn gasped at my harshness and the triplets stared at me wide-eyed.
Alec's cheeks reddened in embarrassment but his eyes reflected his hurt. If I was the before Victoria then I would've thought it was cute. But, no, this is what they are making me in. My eyes glowed a golden color as I summoned for the metal in the keys towards me. It was yanked roughly from Alec's grip, giving him a slight cut.
"Alec! Is your hand okay?" Ashlyn worriedly said and took his hand in her palms. The triplets stared unbelievably at me causing my lips to curl in resilience.
Alec bit his lip from saying anything as Ashlyn wrapped a cloth on his hand. Does she keep cloths in her pockets? Ding! I pushed Rosalie's stroller and walked out of the elevator, making a mental note to just teleport out of the building at all times.
I rushed out but sensed them following along. Once I left the building I realized that my car was still at Harvard. No worries. I can teleport it here. Apparently, Ace mistook my frown for one of desperation and tapped my shoulder.
"Need a ride?" He gave me a lopsided grin but his eyes were pleading for anything contact with me. I glanced at the triplets car which was already full of everybody. Ashlyn desperately tried to cover the extra seat with Brett's stuff. He noticed my gaze. "You can sit in the front with me."
"And have myself stoop that low by traveling with mutts? No thanks." I could tell his Alpha was hurt and he looked taken back. I put my hand out and teleported my car to me and placed Rosalie and all her stuff in the car.
"Victoria-" Ace started desperately but I cut him off, slamming the car door behind me. He frowned in response and leaned against my car hood. He knocked three times on my window. I rolled down the window.
"Need anything?" I licked my lips. His eyes darkened and focussed on my lips.
"Victoria, please tell me what's wrong."
I stuck my head out the window and placed a hand on his neck, lowering his head down so that my lips were near his ear. "You wanna know what's wrong?" I whispered.
"What?" he breathed, his breath fanning my neck. I suppressed a shiver. I was about to give him a snarky reply but I noticed Ashlyn was staring nervously at us. Why not toy with her?
I was the first one to crash our lips together. Ashlyn released a whimpered and I smirked. Ace groaned and was trying to pull my body out the open window. I nipped his lips causing him to press his fingers hard against the small of my back. Ashlyn whimpered relentlessly; trying to catch Ace's attention. I ran my fingers through Ace's hair while looking at Asher and Alec. Even though they were in the car I could see that their eyes turned a pitch-black color.
Finally, Ashlyn reached over to the steering wheel and pressed the horn repeatedly. I tore my lips away from Ace's, trying to control my wolf and fox. Ace whirled around and growled at the culprit which was Ashlyn. She cowered at his death glare. Her omega submitting in fear and hurt. Ace's eyes softened at her but I already started the car.
He glared at me, mad that I did that on purpose to hurt Ashlyn. I smile coldly at him. "It's her or me, Ace. You decide. Live the rest of your life with me ignoring you or living the rest of your loved."
I rolled up the window and pulled out of the parking lot. This time, I wasn't left affected, he was.
