Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

The next morning, I woke up to some cheers. I groaned when I heard the noise. I wasn't ever gonna get to sleep in. I went to roll over to cuddle with one of my mates but when I did, there wasn't anyone there. I was alone in the bed. I groaned again. So, I got up and went into the bathroom to take a nice hot shower, to start my day. When I got out of the shower, I went to the closet to find something to wear for today. I was about to put on some short when Phil had came into the bedroom. He had whistled at me, making me blush. I shooked my head at him. "I'd put something on warm. It's snowing outside." Phil said opening the curtains to let some light in the room. I walked over to the window and looked out. Well damn, I guess I'll wear something warm. I went back to the closet and put some jeans on. I found a shirt that Phil got me last Christmas; it was a black shirt with 3 wolves close by howling into the air. He said it reminded him of us. After I got dressed and put some socks and shoes on then went downstairs to see what everyone was doing. Phil was coming out of the bathroom once I reached the door. I winked at him before walking out of the room. The things he does that makes me weak, no matter what it is. I just love him. Once I got downstairs, the twins were running through the house to go out the front door. I was about to yell at them for running but I got linked for some help from Bailey. She was in the kitchen cooking. "Yes, my dear?" I asked her. "Can you help me?" she asked me. "How did you know I was awake and coming down here?" "Phil linked me and told me. I linked him to help me, but he said he was taking a shower and that you were coming down.” “That little bastard.” I said chuckling. Bailey giggled, as she stirred something in a pot. “So what do you need my queen?” I asked her. “Well I’m making my famous hot cocoa for the kids and the warriors and guards since it’s cold out and snowing. It started early this morning before the sun came out. And the guards has been out in it for hours doing laps around the land to make sure there’s no one out there. So can you reach up top and grab me that big thermos bowel to put this in. It’s on top of the cabinet where I can’t reach. And make sure you wash it out, who knows how long it’s been up there.” She told me. “Yes, my queen.” I told her as I reached on my toes and grabbed what she was wanting. Even though my I’m 6 foot something, I still have to on my toes and reach for crap. And I was too lazy to get the step ladder and grab it. I guess that makes two of us being lazy to grab the step ladder to get it. Once I got it down, I went to the sink and washed it out a few times and handed it to Bailey. Once I handed it to her, she slowly poured the hot cocoa into it. While she was doing that, I kissed her cheek then walked outside through the back door. When I walked out, I saw some of the warriors children and their mates playing in the snow each other. It was adorable watching them. They were happy like nothing could mess up this moment in time. And I was hope they were right. Especially after what happened yesterday with the rogue attack at the mall. The twins were having fun as well like nothing even happened to them. As I was walking around, I saw some of the guards shoveling snow around the lands for the elders and children to walk through from house to house to the training center or pack house or to either other building. It was a smart idea to do so. “How are you not cold?” An elder asked me as she was sitting on their porch watching the children play. “Excuse me?” I asked her pretending I didn’t catch what she asked. “How are you not cold? You’re not wearing a jacket.” “Oh, well I can feel it but the cold doesn’t bother me anyways.” After I had said that I felt like Elsa from frozen saying that while singing ‘Let it go!’ I’ve watched that movie I don’t even know how many times with Mary that that song is my favorite. “Plus with me being part Phoenix, my flames just melt it off of me and keep me warm. Even though it’s not visible.” “Oh, that makes it more clear then. But the twins they’re part of you and they had their jackets on.” The elder had said. “Yeah they are, the Luna or the beta probably told them to put one on so they don’t get sick. They haven’t experience it enough like me to get that far.” I told her. “That’s fair enough. It is nice to see it finally snow here. We don’t get much snow here in Mississippi especially around these parts.” She had said. “Yep. The twins sure do love it.” I said as I looked over their way. They were building a snowman family. They were on their 3rd snowman and they were only out here for probably 10 mins at that. Time sure does fly when you’re having a great time. “Yes they do. Enjoy it while you can.” She said. “Yep. Well I’m gonna walk around to check everything. Talk to you later elder Renee.” “You too, alpha.” I waved goodbye and took my leave. I walked around some more to check things out. By the time I got back to the pack house there were 5 snowmen built next to each other. The twins were busy and they even dressed them up too. They were cute. As I looked around some more, I saw others like them close to other houses. I saw one of the guards built an igloo next to the training center, I laughed. “Nice.” I told him as I got close.” “Thanks, little Jack wanted one but Jacklyn had called him inside since it’s getting a little too cold out.” He had said. “Yea, it is. My body heat is trying to keep up with it but you know my powers can only do so much.” “Yea, I heard it might get worse later.” He had said. “The news is talking about a blizzard might come but you know how Mississippi gets.” “Yeah, speaking of that. Can you and a few guards and warriors make sure that all main cars and suv are ready for this type of weather. And make sure that the drive way is all cleared out.” I told him. “Yes, alpha. I’ll gather as much people to do that. I’m almost done with this anyways.” “Thank you.” I said as I walked back to the house. When I got back to the house, the twins were all bundled up on the couch watching Christmas cartoons and drinking their hot cocoa. I smiled at them as I leaned against the archway. This brought memories of my past when I use to do this with my adopted family. My mother would make sure I had hot cocoa with some yummy food on the side and enough shows for a lifetime. Until it was time for a nap or to do whatever. The good ole days, I didn’t have to worry about being an alpha or anything. I was just a kid being a kid. Having the time of my life. Watching it snow when it did. Because once it snowed, never know how long it would last or when it was going away. I would tell myself what a wonderful thing to watch and enjoy it when I could. Just tell myself let it snow let it snow let it snow. But now that I’m an alpha, and there’s times when I just hate it because if something happens there’s evidence and times it’s hard to explain what happened. But it is what it is.
