The perfect tree/perfect home

1090 Words
The next following day after everyone enjoyed their little snow day, I took Oliver along with Phil and Damon into the woods, with a few guards of course. Even though I wouldn’t need them, but since I’m the alpha king and all, we need guards. We went into the woods to get our run on. I needed to run and I wanted to show Oliver the sights. Even though he doesn’t have his wolf yet, he rode on my back. I showed him the best spots to chill and work on his powers if he wanted to be away from everyone else. As long as he had a guard or two with him at all times. Showed him where I take his mother on our “date” nights under the stars. Showed him where the edge of the land is where we split it with grandma and uncle Parker and his pack. We shifted each spots to talk. Other than the guards. “Speaking of uncle Parker when is he and our cousins coming over again. Mother says that you scared uncle Parker’s mate when you was playing with cousin Joey.” Oliver asked. “No clue, son. But don’t repeat this to anyone, I can’t really stand the bitch.” I had said. “Devin!” Phil said as Damon started laughing. “God, I thought I was the only one. Man when I first met her, she looked like a b***h. A stuck up b***h at that.” Damon said. Some of the guards were chuckling, in their wolf form, after what Damon had said. “She is family, that’s that.” Phil had said. “Yes, she’s family. And we have to stick together.” I said as I rubbed Oliver’s head. “I’ll have you call uncle Parker when we get home.” “Ok, great.” Oliver said. “Let’s head back, we have a tree to put together.” I said then shifted. Oliver hopped on my back and the others shifted the next second. We all ran back home, until we got to the edge of the woods and shifted and put our clothes back on. The guards went their way as we did too. Damon was messing with Oliver once we got close to the house. I shook my head at them. Phil and I went into the living room and grabbed the totes were on the floor and started going through them. I pulled out the lights and started working my way through the tree from the top down. I made sure that every branch had a light or two on it until I got to the bottom. Once I was done with that, I placed the angle that was my mother’s on top and plugged her into the lights. Once that was hooked up, Phil started handing me ornaments to put on the tree. Put the small ones up top and the big ones on the bottom. Put some bears, mice, some reindeers, Santa’s, snowmen’s, all that he could find and give me all over the tree. After that he gave me some garland and tinsel to rap around the tree. Once that was done, I placed the tree rug under the tree then plugged in the tree. Once it lite up, it was beautiful. It was perfect. It was like I remember it when I was a kid. Dad had got the biggest tree ever, put everything he could think of on it even though mom said don’t put too much in it. Which he didn’t listen. For a delta he was bad at that. Sorta. He just wanted Christmas to be great for the kiddos, he always said. I think I was the only one that appreciated it. My brother and sister I don’t think so as much but they were getting older than me so I figured that was the problem. It was always about the perfect tree, the perfect home. The house had to be perfect no matter what. And that I had always put my mind to it. The perfect tree, perfect home for the perfect family. Even though we’re not perfect, we have our flaws. But it was what counts. After the tree, Phil and I went our ways for the rest of the day. He has some things to take care of. But me, I had went up to the attic and grabbed the gifts that I had gotten and went into my office to wrap them up. Once that was done, I placed them under the tree, in the back, to make sure there was room. Once that was done, I went to check out the rest of the house. My nana had everything all done and ready. She was doing her last minute check list, to make sure the outside was done and it was about done. The house was done from the outside just needed to be lite up. But we had saved the pack house for last once all the other houses were done. Which they were. Next was the big tree that goes in the middle of the yard. That had to be done and some of the warriors were working on that we speak. 3 of them were working on the lights, 4 of them were working on the Santa and his sled with his reindeers. Even Rudolph was out front. Jack Frost and all his little family was out front. This was gonna be the best pack house/land ever seen by the time we got done with it. Only if my parents were alive to see this. They would be so excited at how it became. Only I could remember what Christmas was like with them. But I was too young to even remember what Christmas was with them. “Dad, uncle Parker and his family is coming over tomorrow.” Oliver had said, bringing me out of my thoughts. “That’s great. Just great.” I said as I rubbed his head. “Does your other father and mother know?” I asked. “Mom knows. I couldn’t find dad.” He said. “I’ll let him know.” I spoke. “Just make sure the spare rooms are clean for them. Will yeah. If not ask some of the omegas to get to it. Tel them that I said so.” “Sure will dad.” Oliver said then walked back into the house. Tomorrow is gonna be great. I said to myself
